There is no confirmed same-market price difference yet: Samsung’s U.S. prices are reported to have changed, while Motorola’s Signature 27 price was still unconfirmed in a September 22, 2026 launch report. Specs also need caution: comparison databases disagree on the Motorola’s battery capacity and rear-camera details. Here is what can be compared, and what buyers should verify before choosing.
Price difference: no reliable figure until Motorola’s price is confirmed
As of October 7, 2026, Samsung’s U.S. product page displayed a starting price of $1,299.99 before trade-in. That is the page’s displayed amount when reviewed, not a guaranteed checkout price. Tom’s Guide reported on October 1 that Samsung had raised the U.S. Galaxy S26 Ultra price, listing $1,399 for 256GB, $1,599 for 512GB and $1,999 for 1TB. The report said Amazon still offered the phone at its original price at that time. Samsung’s U.S. product page and Tom’s Guide’s October 1 report therefore show why price depends on date, storage tier and seller.
TechRadar’s September 22, 2026 report said the Motorola Signature 27’s price was unconfirmed. Without a confirmed price for that model in the same market and at a comparable storage tier, calculating a price gap would be guesswork. The earlier Motorola Signature’s £899.99 starting price is not a Signature 27 price. TechRadar’s launch report is the basis for the Motorola price status below.

These are not a live price check. Retailer discounts, trade-ins, regional prices and stock can change the amount a buyer actually pays. Compare exact storage tiers and local listings at checkout rather than treating the Samsung figures as a universal price or MSRP.

How the listed specifications compare
The figures below come from comparison databases, not a matched independent test. In particular, published Signature 27 camera and battery entries conflict, so treat them as provisional until checked against the official specifications for your market.
| Specification | Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra | Motorola Signature 27 |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.9 inches; 3120 × 1440 | 6.8 inches; 2780 × 1264 |
| Listed refresh rate | 120Hz | 165Hz |
| Rear-camera description | Quad camera in PhoneArena; Samsung’s product page highlights a 200MP wide camera and 50MP telephoto | Triple camera in PhoneArena; 91mobiles lists rear-camera entries of 50MP, 200MP and 50MP |
| Battery capacity | 5,000mAh | PhoneArena lists 6,000mAh; 91mobiles lists 5,200mAh |
| Listed base memory and storage | 12GB RAM / 256GB storage | 12GB RAM / 256GB storage |
| Listed durability and weight | IP68; 214g | IP68; weight and other fields are incomplete in PhoneArena |
PhoneArena supplies the display, refresh-rate, base memory/storage, and listed IP ratings above. Its comparison page also lists the Samsung as a quad-camera phone and the Motorola as a triple-camera phone. Motorola camera entries differ in 91mobiles’ listing, so do not assume the final camera configuration is settled based on databases alone.

What these differences mean for choosing
Choose by display priorities, not refresh rate alone
The database figures give the Samsung a slightly larger, higher-resolution display, while the Motorola has the higher listed refresh rate. Those specifications do not establish which screen looks better in person or feels smoother in everyday use; panel quality, software behavior and the content being viewed also matter.
Wait for consistent camera details and comparable tests
Samsung’s official product page highlights its 200MP wide and 50MP telephoto cameras. The Signature 27’s camera layout is described inconsistently across PhoneArena and 91mobiles. The available information does not establish a real-world camera winner, so check Motorola’s final regional specification page and independent camera testing before buying primarily for photography.

Do not treat battery capacity as battery life
The Signature 27’s capacity is listed as either 6,000mAh or 5,200mAh, while the Samsung is listed at 5,000mAh. This disagreement does not establish Motorola’s final capacity, and capacity alone cannot tell you how long either phone lasts between charges. No comparable independent endurance results are available here.
Match storage and regional models
PhoneArena lists both phones with a 12GB RAM and 256GB base configuration, but Samsung’s cited U.S. prices also cover 512GB and 1TB. Confirm the exact regional model and storage configuration before comparing a checkout price; product names and configurations do not guarantee equivalent regional SKUs.

Launch status and availability
TechRadar reported that Motorola unveiled the Signature 27 on September 22, 2026, with global availability expected later that year. PhoneArena also labels the model announced and gives that announcement date. Neither source establishes that it is currently for sale in every country. Motorola’s description, quoted by TechRadar, calls it “the most advanced smartphone Motorola has ever created”; that is the company’s promotional claim, not independent evidence that it outperforms the Samsung.
Before purchasing, check Motorola’s official product page for your country and a retailer listing that identifies the exact model, storage, price, stock and return terms. The launch coverage does not confirm local network bands or final regional SKU details, so verify compatibility with your carrier as well.
