How long does the Galaxy S26 Ultra battery last?
Samsung’s two published battery figures
Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery capacity for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Its Canada business specification page also lists up to 31 hours of video playback. Both figures are Samsung specifications from 2026, rather than results from an independent laboratory or a normal day of calls, messaging, camera use and navigation.
“Up to 31 hours” describes a particular video-playback test condition. It should not be read as a promise that every owner will obtain 31 hours of screen-on time, nor as a guarantee that the phone will last a full day under heavy use. Samsung’s launch announcement also identifies the battery as 5,000 mAh, matching the regional specification.

Actual runtime depends on the workload and conditions. Continuous high-brightness video is different from gaming, 5G hotspot use, GPS navigation or a mixed day with the camera. Signal strength, refresh-rate behavior, display brightness, ambient temperature, app background activity and battery age also affect the result. A weak cellular signal can make the modem work harder; intensive games can draw considerably more power than locally stored video.

- Use the 31-hour number to compare Samsung’s own published video claim with another phone’s video claim only when the other manufacturer uses a comparable test.
- Do not compare it directly with a rival’s “all-day,” screen-on or mixed-use estimate; those are different measurements.
- Treat 5,000 mAh as a capacity specification. It does not reveal charging speed, battery health after years of use or how efficiently the phone uses that energy.
How to interpret the claim when deciding whether to buy
If your priority is long local-video playback, Samsung’s stated ceiling is useful evidence. If you need to know whether the phone will last through a particular workday, the published material does not provide an independent mixed-use result. Plan around your own pattern: count heavy camera or gaming periods, time spent on mobile data and whether you regularly use navigation or hotspot mode. A case, high brightness and poor reception can all increase consumption.
Samsung’s cited number is not a verified screen-on-time result. No independent battery benchmark is established here, so a precise prediction for your personal routine would be misleading.
How long will Samsung support the Galaxy S26 Ultra?
Operating-system upgrades
Samsung’s official US launch announcement says: “Galaxy S26 series will be supported with seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from the global launch date.” Seven generations refers to major operating-system upgrade eligibility, not seven updates delivered on a fixed annual schedule. Release timing can differ by country, carrier and certification process.

An OS-upgrade commitment also does not mean that every new feature will work identically on every future version. Hardware-dependent features, regional regulations and app requirements can affect what is available after an upgrade.
Security-update duration and the regional date
Samsung Canada and Samsung UK specification pages list the security-update period as valid until 28 February 2033. That date is the wording shown on those regional pages; it should not automatically be treated as the published date for every market or model code. The seven-year period is counted from the global launch date under Samsung’s announcement, while the regional pages provide a concrete date for the variants they describe.

What the published policy does not answer
The cited launch and specification pages do not establish local warranty length, repair prices, replacement-battery pricing, service-center availability or response times. Those terms are governed by the country where you buy the phone and sometimes by the seller or carrier. For a purchase or repair decision, open your local Samsung support page and check the model code, country and warranty document rather than assuming the Canadian or UK information applies to you.

Yes. Samsung says the S Pen is included with the Galaxy S26 Ultra and arrives pre-installed in the phone’s designated storage slot. It is not an accessory that you must purchase separately to use the phone’s core pen features.

Samsung’s US support information describes note-taking in Samsung Notes, access to Air Command, translation and screen capture among the S Pen’s functions. The stylus is therefore useful for handwriting, annotating content, translating selected material and triggering pen-oriented tools without opening the full app list.
Important S Pen limitations
The same Samsung support page says Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Air Actions are not available. Do not expect the S26 Ultra pen to act as a Bluetooth remote shutter or to support gesture controls that depend on those functions. The absence of BLE also means that charging or pairing behavior associated with older remote-capable S Pens should not be assumed.

Is a wall charger included?
The cited Samsung support page lists the phone, cable and SIM ejector tool, but it does not establish that a wall charger is included. Do not infer charger inclusion from the presence of a USB Type-C cable. If your existing charger is unsuitable, choose one based on the exact charging requirements published for your regional model and confirm compatibility with the seller or Samsung.

Optional accessory categories

- For a case, match the listing to “Galaxy S26 Ultra,” not merely “Galaxy S26,” because camera cut-outs and the S Pen slot can differ.

- For charging accessories, check connector, power and regional certification details before purchase.
