The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE starts at $699.99 in Samsung’s US announcement, while Google announced a $1,299 starting price for the Pixel 11 Pro XL—a $599.01 gap between those starting prices. The comparison is not like-for-like at every tier: Samsung’s US buy page listed the 256GB S26 FE at $799.99, while Google’s figure is the Pixel’s launch price. The phones also differ in base storage, display resolution, and optical camera zoom.
Samsung Galaxy S26 FE vs Google Pixel 11 Pro XL: price difference
For US buyers, Samsung announced a $699.99 starting price for the Galaxy S26 FE in September 2026. Its US buy page displayed the 128GB model at $699.99 and the 256GB model at $799.99 when checked. Google announced the Pixel 11 Pro XL at $1,299 on August 12, 2026; that is a launch price, not a verified current street price. Comparing the two announced starting prices gives a $599.01 difference, but the amounts come from different price references and should not be treated as a matched live offer.
Compare the storage tier and current offer before deciding which costs less for your needs. Samsung’s launch announcement says the phone would be available from select carriers starting September 3, 2026, and from Samsung.com, carriers, and retailers nationwide starting September 4. Google stated August 20, 2026 retail availability for the Pixel 11 Pro XL. Prices and availability can vary by market, carrier, and retailer.

Which phone has the better display?
The Pixel 11 Pro XL has the larger listed display at 6.8 inches, compared with 6.7 inches on the S26 FE. Google specifies a 1344 × 2992 LTPO OLED panel with a 1–120Hz refresh rate. Samsung lists an FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with 60/120Hz refresh rates. On the published figures, the Pixel offers the higher stated resolution and a refresh-rate range that can go lower than the Samsung panel’s listed 60Hz mode. Screen measurements and brightness figures are manufacturer specifications; they do not establish which display looks better in every setting.
How much storage do you get for the price?
The S26 FE starts at 128GB, with a 256GB option listed for the US. The Pixel 11 Pro XL starts at 256GB and is also listed in 512GB and 1TB configurations. That means the Pixel’s base model has twice the listed storage of the Samsung base model, but the starting prices are not a direct comparison of equal configurations. Samsung’s US page displayed $799.99 for its 256GB model; the Google figure available here is the $1,299 announced launch price, not a verified live price for a matching storage tier.

Which has better camera zoom?
For optical reach, Google lists a 5x telephoto camera, while Samsung lists a 3x optical telephoto camera. Optical zoom is the useful like-for-like measure here: the Pixel’s stated 120x Pro Zoom and Samsung’s up-to-30x digital zoom are digital zoom figures, not equivalent optical magnification. The published camera specifications do not prove which phone takes better photos or performs better in low light; no independent head-to-head camera test is established here.

Neither manufacturer’s stated fast-charging setup includes the required adapter in the cited specification: Samsung says its 45W adapter is sold separately, and Google specifies a separately sold 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher for its charging-time claim. Samsung lists up to 65% charge in about 30 minutes with its adapter; Google lists up to 75% in about 30 minutes with a qualifying charger. Those are each brand’s stated figures, not results from a shared test. Both phones also support wireless charging, with Samsung listing 15W and Google listing up to 25W Qi2.2.

What software support does each manufacturer promise?
Both companies state a seven-year support duration, but their wording is not identical. Samsung’s announcement says seven years of software updates. Google specifies seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates for Pixel 11 phones. Keep that difference in scope in mind rather than assuming the commitments cover precisely the same update categories.
