The realme GT 8 Pro lists a faster 144Hz display, a larger battery and higher wired and wireless charging limits, while the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra offers S Pen support and Samsung’s Galaxy AI features. Their camera systems also differ in layout, but specifications alone cannot establish which takes better photos or lasts longer. In reported Spanish launch pricing, the Samsung cost €460 more at 256GB and €480 more at 512GB; those are historical prices, not current quotes.

Specifications are manufacturer-published and may vary by region or configuration. Samsung’s official Galaxy S25 Ultra specifications list the display, processor, battery and IP68 rating; its India launch announcement gives the launch software context and camera specifications. realme lists its specifications on its GT 8 Pro specifications page.
Display, performance and everyday use
Refresh rate and screen size
The GT 8 Pro has the higher listed refresh ceiling: 144Hz versus 120Hz on the S25 Ultra. A higher maximum can allow smoother motion in supported content, but does not by itself show how often a user will notice a difference; content, settings and power management matter. Samsung’s screen is listed as a 6.9-inch-class panel, slightly larger than realme’s 6.79-inch display.
Processors are different generations
The phones use processors with different names and generations: Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy in Samsung’s model and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in realme’s. The published specifications do not provide comparable benchmarks or sustained-load testing, so they cannot establish which is faster in games, demanding apps or prolonged workloads.
#1 Best Overall
- Stunning 6.9″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh rate, ultra‑bright up to ~2600 nits, HDR support, “Vision Booster,” and adaptive color tone — giving vivid colours, great outdoor visibility, and super‑smooth scrolling.
- Powerful internals: it runs on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (3 nm) chip, with 12 GB (or in some markets up to 16 GB) RAM and up to 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage — offering significantly improved CPU/GPU/NPU performance, especially for AI tasks, gaming, and heavy multitasking.
- Advanced quad‑camera system: 200 MP wide main sensor, plus a 50 MP ultrawide, a 50 MP periscope telephoto (5× optical zoom), and a 10 MP telephoto (3× optical zoom) — giving flexibility from ultra‑wide through detailed telephoto shots, and strong performance in varied lighting.
- 5,000 mAh battery with 45 W fast wired charging, wireless charging (Qi2) and reverse wireless charging — balancing long battery life with flexible charging options.
- Durable, premium build: Titanium‑frame body, protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass, with IP68 dust/water resistance, ultrasonic in‑display fingerprint sensor, modern connectivity (5G, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth, UWB, USB‑C), and long‑term software support (Android 15 / One UI 7, promised 7 major OS/security updates).
Camera systems: compare roles, not megapixel totals
Samsung lists four rear camera resolutions—200MP, 50MP, 50MP and 10MP—while realme lists a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide and 200MP telephoto. Those configurations show different camera arrangements, not a photo-quality verdict. Megapixel count alone does not determine detail, low-light performance, color or consistency across lenses.
realme also promotes RICOH GR modes, connected to its imaging partnership with RICOH announced on October 14, 2025. The announcement describes the partnership, not independent evidence of camera performance: realme’s RICOH IMAGING partnership announcement. Samsung’s listed front camera is 12MP and realme’s is 32MP; resolution alone likewise does not establish which produces better selfies.

A reliable photography comparison would require matched real-world shots and the same testing conditions. The specifications cited here do not provide such results.

realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery, with a rated capacity of 6850mAh, up to 120W wired charging and up to 50W wireless charging. Samsung lists a 5000mAh battery and up to 45W wired charging. These manufacturer figures make realme’s stated capacity and charging maxima higher, but they are not measurements of battery endurance or charging time. Actual results depend on usage and conditions, and a maximum charging rate is not a guarantee that a phone will sustain that rate throughout a charge.

S Pen, durability, weight and software
S Pen support
The S25 Ultra supports the S Pen, a meaningful distinction for people who take handwritten notes, annotate documents or draw directly on a phone. The cited GT 8 Pro materials do not list comparable stylus support.
Water and dust ratings
Samsung lists IP68 protection; realme advertises IP69, IP68 and IP66 protection. These are manufacturer-stated ratings, not guarantees that either phone will survive every exposure, accident or condition.

Weight and software
The S25 Ultra is listed at 218g. realme Spain gives approximately 214g for the Urban Blue GT 8 Pro and 218g for the white version, indicating that configuration affects the stated weight. Samsung launched the S25 Ultra with One UI 7 and promotes Galaxy AI; realme’s Spain specification page lists realme UI 7.0. Software features and availability can differ by region and change with updates. The cited material does not establish a like-for-like long-term software-support timeline.

Sources: Cinco Días on Galaxy S25 launch prices and Cinco Días on the GT 8 Pro’s Spain launch. The realme report said its launch promotion ended January 6, 2026; that promotion should not be treated as a current offer. The reports do not give a comparable 1TB realme price.
Prices in other countries should be compared in their local currency rather than converted without a dated exchange rate. Samsung’s India launch announcement listed INR 129,999 for 12GB/256GB, INR 141,999 for 12GB/512GB and INR 165,999 for 12GB/1TB. Samsung’s US launch announcement gave a starting price of US$1,299.99 and general availability from February 7, 2025. Quick Recap
Which phone fits your priorities?
- Consider the realme GT 8 Pro if a higher listed refresh rate, larger stated battery capacity, higher charging limits or its 200MP telephoto arrangement are the specifications you value most.
- Consider the Galaxy S25 Ultra if S Pen workflows, Samsung’s Galaxy AI features or the Galaxy software experience are central to how you use a phone.
- Compare current local prices at the same storage capacity. The Spanish launch gap is useful historical context, but later discounts and availability can change the amount you would actually pay.
- Look for comparable hands-on tests if photo quality, gaming speed, heat under sustained load or all-day battery life will decide your purchase. The published specifications do not settle those questions.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
