The Galaxy S24 Ultra and iPhone 16 are not same-tier phones: Samsung’s Ultra is a large, premium model with a high-refresh display and dedicated zoom cameras, while Apple’s iPhone 16 is smaller and lighter. Choose the S24 Ultra if you want its 6.8-inch 120Hz screen, S Pen-compatible design, or dedicated 3x and 5x telephoto cameras; choose iPhone 16 if compact size and iOS matter more. The U.S. prices available for comparison are not a current, like-for-like market gap.

What the screen and size difference means
Galaxy S24 Ultra: more screen and smoother scrolling
Samsung specifies a 6.8-inch QHD+ panel with adaptive refresh up to 120Hz. That gives the Ultra a larger viewing area and a higher stated refresh rate than Apple lists for iPhone 16. It is the more natural fit for people who prioritize a big screen for reading, video, or stylus use.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
iPhone 16: lighter and easier to carry
Apple lists iPhone 16 at 170g, versus Samsung’s 232g for the Sub6 S24 Ultra and 233g for the mmWave version. The 62–63g difference is substantial on paper, and the smaller 6.1-inch screen reinforces the iPhone’s more compact role. Neither figure alone establishes comfort for every hand or pocket.
How their cameras differ
The main practical distinction is dedicated optical telephoto hardware. The S24 Ultra has separate 3x and 5x telephoto cameras, in addition to its wide and ultra-wide cameras. iPhone 16 has a 48MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide; Apple describes a 2x optical zoom-in view enabled by the main-camera design, not a separate telephoto camera.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
These specifications describe camera layout and available framing, not which phone takes better photos. Megapixel counts do not establish image quality, and the available sources do not provide a controlled comparison. Apple also lists 4K Dolby Vision recording up to 60 frames per second for iPhone 16.
Storage, software and support
Samsung offers the S24 Ultra in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB configurations, each with 12GB of memory in its listed specification. Apple’s U.S. store showed iPhone 16 starting at 128GB; check Apple’s technical specifications and the local seller for other capacity options and availability. Do not assume an equivalent storage tier is available at the same price in every market.

The S24 Ultra runs Android with Samsung’s One UI; Android 14 and One UI 6.1 were its launch-era software, not a statement of the version currently installed. iPhone 16 runs iOS and belongs to Apple’s ecosystem. Samsung’s 2024 announcement promises seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the S24 series. The cited Apple sources do not establish a comparable fixed-duration support commitment, so the policies cannot be ranked directly on these figures.
The S24 Ultra is also compatible with Samsung’s S Pen experience, a feature relevant if you want to write or mark up content directly on a large phone screen. This does not make it equivalent to a separate tablet or stylus workflow.

Price difference: what the available U.S. figures do and do not show
Apple’s U.S. store page, accessed October 7, 2026, listed iPhone 16 at $799 with 128GB and showed an unlocked “connect to any carrier later” option at $829. Samsung’s U.S. MSRP list effective December 2024 priced the unlocked 256GB S24 Ultra at $1,299.99 and marked that listing EOL.

Battery and charging: what can be concluded
Samsung lists a 5,000mAh typical battery for the S24 Ultra and reports up to 65% charge in around 30 minutes when using a 45W adapter and 5A USB-C cable under its stated lab conditions. Samsung says the adapter is sold separately. The cited Apple specifications do not give a comparable battery-capacity or charging-time figure, and these manufacturer figures do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use.
Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy S24 Ultra if you want a large, high-refresh display, dedicated long-range telephoto cameras, up to 1TB of listed storage, or an S Pen-compatible Ultra phone.
- Choose iPhone 16 if a smaller, lighter phone and Apple’s iOS ecosystem are higher priorities than the Ultra’s larger display and dedicated telephoto hardware.
- Compare the actual offers before paying if price is decisive: the available U.S. reference prices use different storage, dates, and listing conditions, so they are not a reliable current price-gap comparison.
