The Galaxy S24 FE has a clearly documented global-style specification set and a U.S. launch price; the Moto G Max 5G’s published specifications vary by market. That means there is no dependable single price difference or universal spec-for-spec verdict. Compare the exact Moto G Max 5G variant sold in your country, then weigh its local price against the S24 FE’s display, camera configuration, software commitment and other documented features.

The S24 FE specifications and launch information above come from Samsung’s September 26, 2024 U.S. announcement. Moto G Max 5G details come from Motorola Brazil’s catalog, a Brazilian carrier listing, an Argentine carrier listing and Gadgets360’s India entry. Those Moto details describe different market listings; they should not be combined into one guaranteed specification sheet.
Which phone has the better display?
The S24 FE’s published display specification is consistent: a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with an adaptive refresh rate of 60 or 120 Hz. Samsung’s stated diagonal is measured across the full rectangle; it says the rounded-corner viewable area is 6.5 inches.
There is no single matching Moto G Max 5G display specification in the available regional listings. Motorola Brazil’s catalog calls it 1.5K AMOLED, while the Argentine carrier gives a 6.78-inch pOLED display at 2772 × 1272 and Gadgets360’s India entry lists 6.72-inch FHD+ at 120 Hz. Before buying, confirm the screen size, resolution and refresh rate on the product page for the precise local model. The evidence does not establish which screen looks better in real use.

How do their cameras compare?
The S24 FE pairs a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12 MP ultrawide and an 8 MP telephoto camera offering 3× optical zoom and OIS. Its dedicated telephoto lens gives it a documented optical-zoom option.
The Brazilian Moto listing describes a 200 MP main camera and an 8 MP secondary rear camera; Motorola Brazil’s catalog also mentions 200 MP OIS. The same carrier lists a 32 MP front camera. These figures do not prove that the Moto takes better photographs: megapixel counts alone do not establish image quality, and the listings do not provide a controlled camera comparison. If camera choice matters, check reviews of the exact regional variant, especially for stabilization, low-light results, ultrawide performance and zoom.

- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
Battery capacity and charging are not battery-life tests
Samsung specifies a 4,700 mAh typical battery and a 4,565 mAh rated minimum for the S24 FE. Its charging claim is up to around 50% in about 30 minutes with a 25 W adapter and a 3A USB-C cable. Samsung qualifies that figure as a lab result obtained under screen-off conditions using a pre-release Galaxy S23 Ultra; the adapter is sold separately. It is not a direct battery-life comparison between these phones.

These are regional specifications, not independent runtime measurements. Actual endurance depends on the model, network, settings and use, so the listed capacities and charging wattages alone cannot establish which lasts longer in everyday use.

Durability and software support
Samsung rates the S24 FE IP68 and says it was tested in fresh water up to 1.5 m deep for up to 30 minutes. Samsung also warns that water and dust resistance can diminish over time. Treat the rating as a defined test condition, not a guarantee against every kind of water exposure or damage.
The Brazilian Moto carrier listing gives IP68/IP69 and MIL-810H, while the India listing reports IP69. These are claims tied to those regional listings; confirm the rating and terms for the exact phone being sold. A rating does not make a device impervious to damage.

At launch, Samsung announced seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the S24 FE, with availability and timing subject to model and market. Motorola Brazil’s catalog promotes Android 16 for the Moto G Max 5G, but the cited material does not state a comparable long-term update schedule. A listed Android version is not, by itself, an update-duration commitment.

What is the price difference?
A reliable like-for-like price difference cannot be calculated from the available figures. Samsung’s $649.99 figure is the S24 FE’s U.S. starting price announced on September 26, 2024, not a current price in every market. Gadgets360’s ₹27,999 Moto figure is an India listing dated October 6, 2026. A 91mobiles comparison snapshot showed ₹27,999 for the Moto and ₹39,999 for the S24 FE, but it does not verify live stock or matched storage configurations. The Argentine carrier promotion for the Moto ended September 14, 2026.
Do not subtract prices across countries, currencies or dates and present the result as a current saving. To compare offers that can actually be purchased, check both phones in the same country and currency, at the same time, with the same storage and RAM where possible. Record the seller, configuration and date; account for any applicable taxes and promotion terms.
Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the S24 FE if its local price works for you and you value the documented 120 Hz AMOLED display, a rear-camera system with a 3× optical telephoto lens, or Samsung’s stated update commitment.
- Consider the Moto G Max 5G if the exact variant available in your market offers the display, camera configuration and charging specifications you want at a competitive local price. Verify its regional specification sheet rather than relying on a listing from another country.
- Compare carefully if your decision depends on camera quality, actual battery life, gaming performance or long-term software support. The listed specifications do not replace independent, controlled testing or a confirmed support policy for the Moto variant.
