The Galaxy S24 FE gives you a larger 6.7-inch display and a slightly bigger battery than the Galaxy S23 FE, but it is also larger and a little heavier. Their listed rear-camera setups and FHD+ resolution are broadly similar. Which is the better buy depends on whether you want the larger screen and newer model—and on the current price of each phone in your country.
Galaxy S23 FE vs S24 FE: key specifications
Samsung’s Germany comparison lists these specifications for the two models. Regional versions can differ, so check the exact model number and local specifications before buying.

Display sizes are diagonal measurements. The comparison is regional, and Samsung’s US announcement identifies the S24 FE’s Exynos 2400e; do not assume every country’s version has identical specifications. Sources: Samsung Germany comparison and Samsung’s US S24 FE announcement.
What the larger screen means for size and handling
The S24 FE’s display is 0.3 inches larger diagonally, while both phones are listed at the same FHD+ resolution. Samsung labels the newer model’s panel Dynamic AMOLED 2X and gives it an adaptive 48–120Hz range, compared with Dynamic AMOLED and adaptive 60–120Hz for the S23 FE in its Germany comparison.

The S24 FE is 4 mm taller, 0.8 mm wider and 4 g heavier. The S23 FE is 0.2 mm thicker. If you prefer a smaller phone, the S23 FE’s shorter and narrower body may be easier to handle; if you want more screen area, the S24 FE is the larger option. Check how either phone feels in person if one-handed use matters.
Battery capacity and charging
Samsung lists typical battery capacity as 4,700mAh for the S24 FE and compares it with 4,500mAh for the S23 FE. That is a capacity difference, not proof of a particular increase in time between charges: real-world battery life depends on usage, network conditions and other factors, and no matched endurance test is established here.

Samsung says the S24 FE can charge to up to 50% in around 30 minutes when used with a 25W adapter and a 3A USB-C cable. The adapter is sold separately; the stated result is tied to those conditions. Samsung’s launch announcement does not provide a directly comparable charging result for the S23 FE. See Samsung’s S24 FE announcement.
Rear cameras: similar listed hardware, not a quality verdict
Samsung’s Ireland comparison lists the same basic rear-camera resolution arrangement for both models: a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide and 8MP telephoto. Samsung lists optical image stabilization (OIS) for the S24 FE’s main and telephoto cameras, and 3× optical zoom for its telephoto camera.

These specifications describe hardware, not which phone takes better photos. The listed resolutions alone cannot establish image quality, and no controlled, matched camera comparison is available here. Samsung Ireland’s comparison provides the regional camera specifications.
Price difference: compare today’s like-for-like offers
Samsung announced a US starting price of $649.99 for the S24 FE on September 26, 2024. That is its historical launch price, not a current quote or evidence of today’s price gap between the phones. Current prices and stock for either model are not established here.
For a useful comparison, check both phones in the same country and match storage, condition and sales channel. Include carrier commitments, trade-in credits and promotional terms: a low advertised price may depend on conditions that do not apply to an outright purchase. Samsung said the S24 FE was available at launch through Samsung.com, major US carriers and retailers; that launch statement does not confirm present availability. Samsung’s September 2024 announcement documents the launch price and channels.

- Choose the S24 FE if you want the larger display, prefer the newer listed display designation, or value the higher stated typical battery capacity. Those specifications do not by themselves guarantee longer battery life or better camera results.
- Consider the S23 FE if you prefer a shorter, narrower phone and can find it at a better current price for the same storage and condition.
- Before ordering either one, confirm the country-specific model number, processor, storage, network compatibility and seller or carrier terms. Samsung’s published specifications and availability can vary by market.
