Samsung lists 15 W wireless charging for the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. That is the series’ manufacturer-rated specification—not a promise that every charging pad and setup will deliver 15 W or charge the phone in a set time. To get started, enable Fast wireless charging in Battery settings, use a compatible charger, and place the phone carefully on the pad.
What wireless charging does the Galaxy S22 support?
Samsung specifies 15 W wireless charging for each Galaxy S22 model: the S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. Its Galaxy S22 series specification overview establishes Samsung’s listed power, not independently measured performance. Actual output and charging time can vary with the pad, phone placement, case, temperature, and other conditions; the specification does not guarantee a particular time to full or equivalence to wired charging.
Samsung also lists Wireless PowerShare, a separate feature that lets the phone supply power to another compatible device. It is not the same as charging the S22 on a wireless pad.

- Remove the case temporarily. If charging begins without it, the case or an accessory may be interfering.
- Check the charger and power connection. Confirm the charger is intended for wireless charging and is connected to a working power source.
- Verify compatibility and certification. Samsung advises checking certification for third-party wireless chargers. Confirm the exact charger model’s S22 compatibility and rated output rather than assuming every Qi pad supports 15 W.
- Check the phone’s charging settings. Look in Battery settings for the Fast wireless charging control and confirm the feature is enabled if you want fast wireless charging.
Samsung’s wireless-charging troubleshooting page lists the S22 family as compatible and recommends checking third-party charger certification.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Choosing a wireless charging pad for the S22
For a pad, compare the exact product rather than relying on a broad “Qi compatible” label. Check the model’s stated S22 compatibility, charging-standard certification, rated wireless output, and required wall adapter or power input. Also decide whether a flat pad or stand suits your setup, and whether you need simultaneous charging for multiple devices.
