No—the Galaxy S22 Ultra does not have established built-in MagSafe magnets. It does support Qi wireless charging, and a compatible magnetic case or magnetic ring can let it attach to MagSafe-style accessories. That added magnetism does not make the phone an Apple MagSafe device, and charging results depend on the specific case and charger.
What MagSafe compatibility means for the S22 Ultra
MagSafe-style accessories rely on magnets to attach and align a phone with a charger, mount, wallet, or other accessory. Samsung’s documentation confirms that the Galaxy S22 series supports Qi wireless charging, but it does not establish that the S22 Ultra has those magnets built in or is Apple MagSafe-certified. Samsung’s list of Qi-compatible Galaxy phones addresses wireless charging, not native magnetic attachment.
So the answer depends on what you mean by “MagSafe”: for wireless charging, the S22 Ultra supports Qi; for magnetic attachment, you need an accessory that adds magnets.
How to use magnetic accessories with the S22 Ultra
Use a magnetic case
A case made for the Galaxy S22 Ultra with an integrated magnetic ring is the simplest route to attaching MagSafe-style accessories. Check that the case is designed for the exact phone model and that its maker says it supports wireless charging. A magnetic case supplies the attachment layer; it does not guarantee that every charger, mount, or wallet will fit or work as intended.

Add a magnetic ring to a compatible case
An adhesive magnetic ring may be an option if you want to keep an existing case. Placement and case materials can affect magnetic alignment and wireless charging, so follow the ring maker’s instructions and verify the complete case-and-charger pairing. A third-party Qi2 charger manual lists the S22 Ultra and calls for a magnetic case or ring for optimal alignment; that guidance is specific to that product, not a compatibility guarantee for every combination. Anker’s charger manual is one example of this category-level advice.
Use a Qi pad if you only need wireless charging
If you want to charge without a cable and do not need a magnetic connection, a Qi wireless charging pad is sufficient. The S22 Ultra’s Qi support does not depend on MagSafe-style magnets.

Will a MagSafe-style charger charge it quickly?
Samsung says the S22 series supports fast wireless charging, but that does not establish a universal charging rate for third-party magnetic chargers or for every case-and-charger combination. Samsung’s general wireless-charging troubleshooting guidance recommends Qi2-certified covers and MPP wireless chargers for magnetic alignment and says those can support fast charging up to 15W. That is general Samsung guidance, not a measured result or guarantee for the S22 Ultra with any particular accessory. Samsung’s S22-series charging guidance confirms fast wireless charging generally.

What to check before choosing a case or charger
- Exact fit: Confirm the case is made for the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
- Magnetic attachment: Check whether magnets are built into the case or whether you need a separate ring.
- Charging compatibility: Look for the case maker’s stated wireless-charging support and thickness guidance.
- Charger alignment: Check the charger’s stated compatibility and whether it supports Qi2 or MPP magnetic alignment.
- Charging-rate claims: Treat a listed rate as applying only under the conditions the manufacturer specifies; do not assume it will be achieved with every phone, case, and charger pairing.
