The Samsung Galaxy M35 and vivo X300 FE sit in very different phone tiers, not at the same budget. The M35 is a larger midrange phone; the X300 FE is a smaller, lighter premium model with a flagship-tier listed processor and a dedicated telephoto camera. Their published specs make the vivo the more feature-rich choice for compactness, zoom hardware and charging, while the Samsung offers a larger screen and a substantially lower historical launch price. A current price gap cannot be confirmed from the available India price evidence because the figures come from different dates.

Performance and display: larger panel or higher-tier listed silicon?
The M35’s Exynos 1380 is a midrange processor, while vivo lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in the X300 FE. That places the vivo in a higher performance tier on paper, but the specifications alone do not establish how much faster it is in real use. The manufacturer materials cited here do not provide a comparable independent benchmark for both phones.

Both list 120Hz refresh rates. The X300 FE’s listed resolution is higher at 2640 × 1216, while the M35 is FHD+ at 1080 × 2340. Choose the M35 if screen size is the priority; the vivo’s smaller panel contributes to its more compact form.

Size and handling
By manufacturer specifications, the X300 FE is 31g lighter and 11.47mm shorter than the M35, as well as narrower and thinner. At 191g and 7.99mm, it is the more portable option; the M35 weighs 222g and is 9.1mm thick. These dimensions are useful for estimating carry and grip, though they do not substitute for trying either phone in hand.
vivo lists IP68 and IP69 ratings for the X300 FE. No IP rating was identified on the cited Samsung product page; that absence is not evidence that the M35 has no protection of any kind.

Camera hardware: the X300 FE adds a telephoto lens
The main distinction is the rear camera layout. Samsung lists a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera, with OIS noted for the rear camera. vivo lists a 50MP OIS main camera, a 50MP OIS telephoto camera and an 8MP ultrawide. The dedicated telephoto camera gives the X300 FE a hardware option for zoom and tighter portrait framing that the M35’s listed camera set does not have.

Battery capacity and charging
Samsung lists a 6000mAh typical battery and 25W charging support for the M35. vivo lists a 6500mAh typical battery and 90W wired FlashCharge for the X300 FE. Those ratings give the vivo an advantage in stated capacity and charging power, but they are not battery-life or charging-time test results. Samsung notes that battery life varies with usage and network conditions; vivo says maximum charging power depends on the original charger and cable and is dynamically adjusted during use.

Samsung’s prices below are historical India launch prices announced on 17 July 2024, not verified current selling prices. vivo’s official store snapshot and newsroom announcements show different figures for X300 FE configurations, reflecting the importance of checking the exact variant and date.

Which phone fits your priorities?
- Choose the Galaxy M35 if you want a larger display and are shopping in the midrange tier. Its India launch prices were far below the cited vivo figures, but those historical prices are not a current offer.
- Consider the vivo X300 FE if you want a smaller, lighter phone, a listed higher-tier chipset, a dedicated telephoto camera, or much higher stated wired charging power. It belongs to a more expensive product tier in the available price evidence.
- Do not decide from megapixels, battery capacity or charging watts alone. These manufacturer specifications do not settle photo quality, real-world endurance, charging time or overall speed.
