For buyers in India, choose the Samsung Galaxy F36 5G if you want a sharper Super AMOLED screen, a lighter phone and a rear camera setup with wide, ultra-wide and macro modules. Choose the realme P4R 5G if its much larger stated battery and higher charging wattage matter more. The P4R’s 144 Hz screen refreshes faster, but its HD+ LCD is lower resolution than the F36’s FHD+ AMOLED. Neither is a proven overall winner: comparable independent battery, camera or performance tests are not established here.

Choose the F36 for sharper detail and AMOLED contrast
Samsung specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel at 1080 × 2340 pixels with a maximum 120 Hz refresh rate. The higher resolution should make fine text and detail look sharper than on the P4R’s HD+ panel, while AMOLED is the stronger specification if deep blacks and contrast are priorities.

realme advertises a 144 Hz refresh rate, and comparison reporting gives the P4R an approximately 6.8-inch LCD with 720 × 1570 resolution. Its refresh-rate ceiling is higher, but that does not offset the lower resolution for readers who prioritize sharpness. The experience also depends on which apps and content support higher refresh rates.

Which phone has the bigger battery, and which charges faster?
realme lists an 8,000 mAh battery and 45 W charging for the P4R. Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery for the F36; comparison data lists its charging at 25 W. These figures make the P4R the capacity-and-wattage choice on paper, but they do not tell you how long either phone lasts in your routine or how many minutes a recharge takes. No comparable head-to-head battery endurance or timed charging results are established.
realme’s product page gives battery endurance examples as realme Lab claims and notes that results vary. Treat those as manufacturer test claims, not a guarantee of a particular number of days in everyday use.

Which phone is better for photos?
The F36’s listed rear setup comprises a 50 MP wide, 8 MP ultra-wide and 2 MP macro camera; comparison data lists one 50 MP rear camera for the P4R. The F36 therefore offers more listed camera roles, especially an ultra-wide option. That does not establish which phone takes better pictures: megapixels and camera count cannot substitute for comparable photos and testing across lighting, focus, video and processing.

Is the realme P4R cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy F36?
There is no reliable like-for-like current price difference in the available figures. Samsung India’s purchase page listed the F36 6 GB / 128 GB from ₹21,999 when accessed in 2026. realme’s newsroom reported the P4R launch price starting at INR 16,999, which is historical launch pricing rather than a current sale price. A Smartprix comparison marked September 20, 2026 listed ₹22,924 for the F36 and ₹19,997 for the P4R, but other comparison pricing differed.
Compare the same RAM and storage configuration, seller and purchase date, and include delivery or bank discounts only if they apply to you. An aggregator snapshot or launch price should not be treated as a guaranteed current offer.

Software support, size and buying considerations
Software support
Samsung states that security updates for the F36 are valid through December 31, 2031. A matching official P4R support-duration commitment was not confirmed in the cited product information, so do not assume the two phones have equivalent support periods. Check each manufacturer’s current support policy if update longevity is central to your decision.
Weight and handling
Comparison reporting lists the F36 at 197 g and the P4R at 224 g, a 27 g difference. The F36 is the lighter listed handset; the P4R’s larger stated battery comes with a higher listed weight. realme lists the P4R body thickness as 8.8 mm.

What specifications cannot settle
Chipset names, refresh rates, camera megapixels and battery capacities do not by themselves establish gaming performance, thermal behavior, image quality or daily endurance. No comparable independent head-to-head results for those areas are established here, so buy on the verified features you value rather than an assumed performance winner.
Which one should you buy?
- Buy the Samsung Galaxy F36 5G if you prioritize the higher-resolution Super AMOLED display, lower listed weight, a multi-module rear camera setup, or Samsung’s stated security-update validity through December 31, 2031.
- Buy the realme P4R 5G if you prioritize its listed 8,000 mAh battery, 45 W charging, or 144 Hz refresh-rate ceiling, and are comfortable with an HD+ LCD panel and higher listed weight.
- For a camera or performance decision, seek comparable independent samples or testing; the listed specifications alone do not establish a winner.
- For price, compare live India listings for the precise RAM/storage versions you would purchase rather than relying on the P4R’s launch price or a dated aggregator snapshot.
Launch dates and source scope
Samsung India gives the Galaxy F36 5G launch date as July 19, 2025. Gadgets 360 reports an India release date of June 10, 2026 for the realme P4R 5G. Both dates refer to these India-market models; availability and configuration listings can vary by seller and time.
