If a Galaxy Bud feels hot in your ear or starts beeping, remove it immediately. Keep the earbuds out of the charging case and do not use them again until they have cooled completely. If an earbud is still too warm to touch after cooling, contact Samsung support.
What to do if a Galaxy Bud gets hot in your ear
- Remove the hot or beeping earbud from your ear immediately.
- Do not put it in the charging case or use it again until it has cooled completely.
- Do not wear or use the Buds while they remain hot. If an earbud is still too warm to touch after cooling, contact Samsung support.
Samsung’s guidance is to stop use and let the earbuds cool; it does not identify a universal temperature threshold or establish the cause of heat in a particular pair. A hot or beeping earbud should not be treated as ordinary charging warmth.
Is warmth while charging normal?
Samsung says Galaxy Buds and their case may become warm during charging. That is different from a battery getting hotter than usual: charging may stop in that situation, and Samsung advises disconnecting the charger and waiting for the device to cool. If the Buds become hot while charging, disconnect the charger and let them cool before doing anything else.

Samsung’s instructions for Buds3 and Buds3 Pro describe charging-related warmth, but that model-specific guidance should not be assumed to describe every Galaxy Buds model. None of this makes it safe to keep wearing a hot or beeping earbud.

Check the charging setup before charging again
Once the Buds have cooled, check the charging contacts and accessories before reconnecting them:
- Make sure the earbuds’ charging terminals and the charger are dry. Samsung warns that sweat or liquid on the contacts can cause corrosion and advises cleaning and drying them before charging.
- Do not use a damaged charging cable. If a cable is damaged, replace it with a compatible cable from an appropriate seller; a cable replacement is not a remedy for an earbud that became hot while worn.
- If charging again causes unusual heat or stops, disconnect the charger and let the Buds cool. Contact Samsung if they remain too warm to touch after cooling.
Samsung also notes that Galaxy devices are intended for an operating environment of 32–95°F (0–35°C) on its battery-care page. This is general Galaxy battery guidance, not an overheating threshold or a diagnostic for Galaxy Buds.

When to contact Samsung
Contact Samsung support if a Bud remains too warm to touch after it has cooled completely. Stop using it rather than trying to diagnose a battery or hardware fault yourself. Samsung’s cited guidance does not establish why an individual pair became hot or whether it needs repair or replacement; support can advise based on the model and circumstances.
