For Indian buyers, the OnePlus Nord CE6 5G has the stronger published hardware on battery capacity, charging speed, display resolution and refresh rate. The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G makes a clearer case for long-term ownership with Samsung’s stated software-support commitment and a 6.7-inch display. The better buy depends on today’s price for the same RAM and storage—not a headline price comparison between unlike offers.
How do the Galaxy A56 and Nord CE6 compare?
The figures below come from Samsung and OnePlus product information unless a comparison listing is named. Specifications do not establish which phone performs better in real-world tests.

Brightness figures use each manufacturer’s terminology and are not directly comparable lab measurements. Water-resistance ratings describe protection under specified conditions; they do not make either phone damage-proof. The Nord CE6 ratings above are OnePlus’s published claims, not an independent durability test.

On the published specifications, the Nord CE6 offers the more detailed, faster-refreshing panel: 1.5K resolution at 144Hz, compared with the A56’s FHD+ resolution and 120Hz display. That may appeal to buyers who value smoother scrolling or high-refresh gaming, though the specification alone cannot establish how a particular game runs.

The A56 has a larger stated diagonal at 6.7 inches. Samsung lists 1,200 nits peak brightness, while OnePlus lists 1,800 nits HBM for the Nord CE6. Peak and HBM figures describe different manufacturer-labeled conditions, so they should not be read as a controlled brightness comparison.
Which phone is better for battery and charging?
The Nord CE6 has a substantially larger listed battery—8,000mAh versus 5,000mAh—and supports 80W SUPERVOOC rather than the A56’s 45W charging. Those specifications favor the OnePlus if battery capacity and charging support are priorities. They do not guarantee a particular number of hours or charging time: actual results depend on use, settings, temperature and other conditions.
What do the camera specifications tell you?
The A56 lists a triple rear-camera setup, including a 50MP main camera and 12MP ultra-wide. OnePlus lists a 50MP main rear camera and a 32MP selfie camera for the Nord CE6; its stated 4K video capability applies to both front and rear cameras. Samsung lists a 12MP selfie camera.

Megapixel counts and camera-module lists do not establish photo or video quality. No independently verified head-to-head camera test is available here, so there is no sound basis to declare one phone the better camera phone from these specifications alone.
Which phone offers clearer long-term software support?
Samsung has made a specific commitment for the Galaxy A56: six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The cited OnePlus India product information does not establish a matching Nord CE6 support period. That is an evidence gap, not proof that the Nord CE6 will receive no updates; check OnePlus’s current official support terms if update longevity is central to your decision.

These are historical launch prices, not current street prices. On 7 October 2026, 91mobiles displayed Amazon-attributed prices of ₹33,158 for the A56 and ₹37,999 for the Nord CE6. That listing snapshot did not establish equivalent RAM and storage configurations or continuing availability, so the figures do not prove a current price gap.
To compare what you would actually pay, check the same day’s retailer listings for matching RAM and storage, and compare the same seller type, device condition and included offers. Treat launch prices, marketplace listings and promotions as separate price contexts rather than subtracting one from another.

- Choose the Nord CE6 if its current price for your desired configuration works for you and you prioritize the larger listed battery, faster supported charging, higher-refresh 1.5K display or higher-resolution selfie-camera specification.
- Choose the Galaxy A56 if Samsung’s stated six-generation Android-upgrade and six-year security-update commitment matters most, or you prefer its 6.7-inch FHD+ display and listed ultra-wide rear camera.
- Wait to compare live offers if price is the deciding factor. The available price snapshot is not a verified like-for-like comparison, and the A56 launch prices are not current prices.
Neither specification sheet settles real-world camera quality, battery life or performance. For those priorities, look for independent tests of the exact Indian models rather than treating manufacturer claims or raw component figures as test results.

This comparison is specific to India. Configurations, prices, network bands and features may differ in other markets. Samsung announced the A56 on 3 March 2025; comparison listings identify May 2026 as the Nord CE6’s India launch or release period.
