The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is the stronger choice for a dedicated telephoto camera, wireless charging, faster wired charging, a lighter body and Samsung’s stated seven-year update commitment. The Galaxy A55’s standout advantages are microSD expansion and a higher-resolution front camera. Both have FHD+ 120Hz displays. A reliable current price difference cannot be calculated from the available figures: Samsung’s U.S. S25 FE prices are dated September 2025 MSRP, and there is no comparable A55 price for the same market and date.

Which phone has the better display?
The S25 FE has a nominally larger screen at 6.7 inches, compared with the A55’s 6.6 inches. Both are FHD+ panels with a 120Hz maximum refresh rate, but Samsung identifies the A55 panel as Super AMOLED and the S25 FE panel as Dynamic AMOLED 2X. The cited specifications establish those panel types and refresh rates, not a measured brightness or image-quality winner.
How do their cameras differ?
S25 FE: a dedicated optical-zoom camera
The S25 FE’s 8MP telephoto camera provides 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilization. That is the clearest hardware advantage for photographing subjects at a distance. Its rear array also includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 12MP ultrawide.

A55: macro lens and higher-resolution selfie camera
The A55 pairs a 50MP main camera with a 12MP ultrawide and 5MP macro camera; Samsung lists OIS and digital zoom up to 10x. Its front camera is 32MP, compared with 12MP on the S25 FE. Megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos, and the available specifications are not a side-by-side image test.
Battery capacity and charging
The A55 has the higher typical battery-capacity figure: 5,000mAh versus 4,900mAh for the S25 FE. The S25 FE supports up to 45W wired charging, fast wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare. Samsung says it can reach about 65% in around 30 minutes with a 45W adapter, which is sold separately; this is a manufacturer statement, not an independently measured result. Capacity figures do not show how long either phone lasts in real use. Samsung lists up to 28 hours of wireless video playback for the A55, also a manufacturer estimate rather than a direct comparison.

Software support and processor information
Samsung states that the S25 FE will receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from its global launch. Update timing can vary by market and carrier. The cited A55 source does not establish a matching support commitment, so it is not enough to calculate how many years of support each phone has remaining.
Samsung’s global S25 FE launch specification identifies an Exynos 2400 processor. The cited A55 formal specification lists an octa-core processor with 2.75GHz and 2GHz speeds but does not name its chip there.
