Samsung India’s purchase page displayed ₹33,999 for the Galaxy A36 5G with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and ₹37,999 for the 8GB/256GB configuration when accessed. These are changeable listing prices, and the page can show variant or stock availability conditions. Check the Samsung India purchase listing for the configuration and price currently offered.

The same source page showed the A36 as unavailable in stores, and other page snippets gave different prices. OnePlus’s India page describes the Nord’s launch positioning as the ₹20,000–₹25,000 segment, not its current checkout price. Consequently, the available information does not establish a reliable live price difference or a guaranteed saving.

For a fair comparison, check both phones on the same day, choose the same storage tier where possible, and compare the final price from an in-stock Indian seller. Account for RAM configuration, seller, promotions and delivery or exchange conditions rather than treating an old marketplace snapshot as a permanent price.
Display: AMOLED versus a faster refresh rate
The A36 has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate; the Nord has a slightly larger 6.72-inch LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate. That is a trade-off between panel type and the higher listed refresh rate, not a simple ranking of overall screen quality. Choose the Samsung if AMOLED is a priority; choose the OnePlus if you specifically value its higher refresh-rate specification. The OnePlus page also lists 1,000-nit peak brightness, but that figure alone does not determine how the screens compare in everyday viewing.

Battery and charging: the Nord has more stated capacity
The Nord’s listed 7,000mAh capacity is 2,000mAh greater than the A36’s 5,000mAh. OnePlus specifies 45W SUPERVOOC charging for the Nord, while the comparison lists 45W charging for the Samsung. Capacity suggests the OnePlus has more battery hardware, but does not establish how long either phone lasts in a particular person’s use.

OnePlus advertises “up to 2 days of power” based on its Test Lab; it says actual battery life varies with network, apps, settings, habits and device age. No independent side-by-side endurance result is established here, so treat that duration as a company claim rather than a guaranteed runtime.

Performance, memory and storage
The listed processors are Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 in the A36 and MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Apex in the Nord. The comparison lists 8GB or 12GB RAM options for the A36 and 6GB or 8GB for the Nord. These component names and memory configurations do not by themselves establish which phone will feel faster in every app or workload.
OnePlus reports an AnTuTu score of 1,030,000+ from its Test Lab for an 8GB/256GB Nord CE 6 Lite unit using AnTuTu Benchmark V11 in a specified test environment. The company says results vary by configuration and conditions. This is a manufacturer test claim, not an independently measured head-to-head result against the A36.

Both models are listed with 128GB and 256GB internal-storage options. The Nord supports microSD expansion up to 2TB according to OnePlus India. Its card slot shares one of the two SIM slots, and a memory card is not included. On those stated durations, the Samsung has the longer listed support runway, while the Nord is listed with a newer Android version at launch. Because these figures are from a secondary source and manufacturer terms can vary by region or change, verify the current India support policy before buying if update longevity is decisive.
