The Galaxy M47 5G has the larger stated battery and Samsung’s longer published software-support commitment; the Galaxy A35 5G has an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and a 13 MP front camera. Both list a 120 Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED screen and optical image stabilization on the main rear camera. The M47 evidence here is specific to Samsung India, and current like-for-like prices and availability are not confirmed.

What differs most in everyday use?
Battery capacity
The M47’s listed 6,000 mAh typical battery is 1,000 mAh larger than the A35’s 5,000 mAh typical capacity. That is a capacity comparison, not a measured runtime result: screen brightness, signal conditions, apps, and other usage affect how long either phone lasts.
Camera layout
The A35 specifies a 50 MP main camera, 8 MP ultra-wide and 5 MP macro camera. The M47 lists a 50 MP, 5 MP and 2 MP rear system. Both official specification pages list optical image stabilization for the main camera. The resolution figures and camera labels do not establish which phone takes better photographs, and no comparative camera test is available here.
The A35 also lists a 13 MP front camera versus 12 MP on the M47. As with the rear cameras, megapixel count alone does not predict image quality.

Display
On paper, these are close: both have an FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Samsung gives the A35’s display as 6.6 inches and the M47’s as 16.91 cm full rectangle, approximately 6.66 inches. The listed dimensions do not establish differences in brightness, color accuracy, or outdoor visibility.
Software support
Samsung’s M47 page states six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates from the first global launch date. Samsung India’s A35 launch announcement promised up to four Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates. These are manufacturer policy statements; check Samsung’s current regional support information for any later policy changes rather than inferring a specific update end date.

What is the price difference?
The available figures are historical Indian launch prices, not current offers. Samsung India announced the A35 at INR 27,999 for 8 GB/128 GB and INR 30,999 for 8 GB/256 GB, with specified bank cashback included in the quoted launch prices. A secondary report put the M47 8 GB/128 GB launch price at INR 22,999. Comparing those reported 8 GB/128 GB launch figures, the A35 was INR 4,000 more at launch. This is not a verified present-day price gap: current retailer pricing, stock, and comparable promotions are unresolved.

Samsung’s US announcement said the A35 was available from April 18, 2024, starting at $399.99. That US launch figure is not directly comparable with Indian M47 pricing. The M47 specifications and sale-status evidence cited here are India-specific; confirm local model, network-band compatibility, price, and availability before buying in another market.

Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the M47 if you want the larger stated battery, microSD expansion up to 2 TB, or the longer support commitment published on Samsung’s India product page. Samsung also says its fast charger is sold separately.
- Consider the A35 if its listed ultra-wide rear camera is important to you, or if you want the specific India launch configuration and price history Samsung announced. Confirm what is currently sold in your market.
- Compare local listings before deciding if price is the deciding factor. The M47 8 GB/128 GB page displayed “Not for sale” when checked, and neither phone’s current comparable street price is established by the cited launch figures.
Neither the specifications nor the launch prices settle performance, camera quality, battery runtime, or current value. Those require comparable testing and dated, region-specific offers; the published details are best used to narrow the choice to the features that matter to you.
