The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G suits buyers who prefer a Super AMOLED screen, a higher-resolution selfie camera and the longer update period reported by comparison listings. The Motorola Moto G57 Power is the better fit for buyers prioritizing a larger battery, 120 Hz refresh rate and stronger scores in 91mobiles’ published benchmarks. There is no dependable universal price gap: comparison pages show conflicting prices, so compare the same configuration at the same retailer and time.

Which phone is better for your priorities?
Choose the Galaxy A17 5G for AMOLED and listed update support
The A17’s Super AMOLED display may be the more attractive choice if panel type matters more to you than refresh rate. Its listed 13 MP front camera also has higher resolution than the Moto’s 8 MP camera. 91mobiles lists six years of OS and security updates for Samsung, compared with one OS update and three years of security updates for Motorola. These are secondary-source listings, not a substitute for confirmation of the policy in your country and for the exact model you plan to buy.
Choose the Moto G57 Power for battery capacity and a faster refresh rate
The Moto’s 7,000 mAh battery is larger than the Samsung’s listed 5,000 mAh unit, and its LCD is rated at 120 Hz rather than 90 Hz. It is the stronger fit if those specifications matter most. The higher refresh rate can make supported motion appear smoother, while display technology, brightness and your settings also affect the viewing experience.

Consider the Moto’s published benchmark advantage carefully
91mobiles reports Geekbench multi-core scores of 2,240 for the Galaxy A17 5G and 2,931 for the Moto G57 Power, and AnTuTu scores of 604,677 and 817,331, respectively. These are that publisher’s reported results, not independently reproduced tests or guarantees of how every unit will perform. The captured comparison does not state when the tests were run; 91mobiles pages were accessed in 2026, which is not the same as a test date. See the 91mobiles comparison.
Battery: capacity and test results are not the same as daily runtime
In addition to listing a larger capacity for the Moto, 91mobiles reports PCMark battery-test results of 15 hours 18 minutes for the Moto G57 Power and 9 hours 59 minutes for the Galaxy A17 5G. Treat these as publisher-reported benchmark results, not predicted screen-on time or a promise of how long either phone will last for you. Brightness, network conditions, apps and other usage affect real-world endurance. The comparison does not provide enough test detail here to treat the result as a controlled prediction for every buyer. Source: 91mobiles.

Price difference: comparison pages disagree
Prices shown by comparison publishers are snapshots, not stable manufacturer prices. Their displayed figures disagree on which phone costs more:

What to verify before buying
- Confirm the exact model and market variant, especially RAM and storage; comparison pages surface different configurations.
- Check the price for both phones at the same retailer on the same day. Do not infer a lasting price difference from the conflicting snapshots above.
- Confirm the regional software-update policy directly with the manufacturer for the specific model.
- Check the local model’s ingress-protection rating and follow the manufacturer’s stated limits; an IP rating is not a guarantee against all water or dust exposure.
