For a G-SYNC monitor, start with the resolution and screen format you want, then compare the exact model’s NVIDIA-listed VRR range, panel, input, and required driver. These five OLED candidates cover high-refresh 1440p, 4K, and ultrawide; they are organized by use case, not ranked by hands-on testing.
Five G-SYNC monitor candidates by use case
NVIDIA’s catalog lists the following specifications for these models. Its VRR ranges describe the monitor specification, not the frame rate your PC will achieve in every game. Check the precise regional model and listing before you buy.
| Use case | Model | Size and resolution | Panel | NVIDIA-listed VRR range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Very high-refresh 1440p | ASUS ROG PG27AQDP | 27-inch, 2560×1440 | OLED | 48–480 Hz |
| Compact 4K | ASUS ROG PG27UCDM | 27-inch, 3840×2160 | OLED | 48–240 Hz |
| Larger 4K | LG 32GX870A | 32-inch, 3840×2160 | OLED | 48–240 Hz |
| Ultrawide | LG 34GS95QE family | 34-inch, 3440×1440 | OLED | 48–240 Hz |
| Very high-refresh 1440p | MSI MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 | 26.5-inch, 2560×1440 | OLED | 48–500 Hz |
These are catalog specifications, not comparative test results. NVIDIA describes its G-SYNC monitors as tested for quality and compatibility with the GeForce gaming platform. The catalog also provides the listed tier, input, and minimum driver; see the NVIDIA G-SYNC monitor catalog for the exact entry.
For very high-refresh 1440p: ASUS ROG PG27AQDP
The PG27AQDP pairs a 27-inch 2560×1440 OLED panel with a listed 48–480 Hz VRR range. It is a specification-led option if you want QHD and prioritize a high maximum refresh rate. That specification alone does not establish a competitive advantage, measured motion clarity, or how often a particular PC can reach the upper range.
#1 Best Overall
- Samsung’s 32” Odyssey G5 QHD Gaming Monitor delivers brilliant visuals for exhilarating gameplay that’s more immersive than ever before.
- QHD resolution (2560 x 1440) boasts incredibly detailed, pin-sharp images.
- With a wide 178° viewing angle, the IPS panel consistently delivers crisp, clear hues from various viewpoints.

- HDR10 provides brighter highlights and nuanced shadows for added depth.
For compact 4K: ASUS ROG PG27UCDM
This 27-inch 3840×2160 OLED has a listed 48–240 Hz VRR range. It represents the smaller-screen 4K option in this shortlist. Consider whether your graphics hardware and preferred games can make use of 4K at the frame rates you want; the monitor’s maximum refresh rate is not a promise of game performance.
For a larger 4K screen: LG 32GX870A
The LG 32GX870A is a 32-inch 3840×2160 OLED with a listed 48–240 Hz VRR range. Its larger format distinguishes it from the 27-inch ASUS 4K candidate, but the catalog does not establish which is better value or which has better image quality.

How to choose between 1440p, 4K, and ultrawide
Choose 1440p high refresh when motion and frame rate are priorities
The two 1440p candidates offer the highest listed refresh ceilings in this group. Their high maximum rates may matter to someone seeking a monitor with that capability, but the PC must render frames at a suitable rate for a game to make use of it. Match the resolution and desired frame rate to your GPU and games rather than treating the monitor’s top number as a performance guarantee.
Choose 4K when you prefer more pixels in a standard-width format
The ASUS 27-inch and LG 32-inch options share a 3840×2160 resolution and 48–240 Hz listed range. The main catalog distinction is screen size. Think about viewing distance, desk space, and the rendering demands of 4K before deciding between them.
Rank #4
- 27” FULL HD IPS DISPLAY: Experience crisp 1920x1080 resolution and vibrant colors on a 27-inch widescreen IPS panel with wide 178° viewing angles and a 16:9 aspect ratio.
- 240Hz Native / 260Hz Overclocked Refresh Rate & 0.5ms MPRT Response Time: Dominate fast-paced games with ultra-smooth motion and razor-sharp visuals, thanks to a 240Hz native refresh rate with up to 260Hz overclocking over both HDMI and DisplayPort, plus an ultra-fast 0.5ms (MPRT) response time.
- ADAPTIVE-SYNC TECHNOLOGY: Enjoy tear-free, stutter-free gameplay with Adaptive-Sync support that keeps visuals fluid and synchronized with your GPU.
- ILT-ADJUSTABLE & VESA COMPATIBLE: Customize your setup with tilt functionality (-3° ~ 21°) and 100x100mm VESA mount support for ergonomic flexibility.
- FLICKER-FREE + LOW POWER USAGE: Flicker-Free technology helps reduce eye strain during long sessions, and Eco Mode keeps power usage efficient (22W typical).
Choose ultrawide for its wider format
The LG family’s 3440×1440 resolution and 34-inch size create a wider format than the 16:9 1440p and 4K choices. Whether that format suits you depends on your games, workspace, and preference; the specifications alone do not establish compatibility or image quality in every game.

The NVIDIA catalog is useful for checking a model’s exact category and published specifications. Preserve its label: “G-SYNC Compatible,” “G-SYNC,” and “G-SYNC ULTIMATE” are distinct catalog categories, not interchangeable terms. NVIDIA says listed G-SYNC monitors are tested for quality and compatibility with its GeForce gaming platform; that statement is not an independent review of every quality characteristic a buyer might care about.

A 2025 NVIDIA driver announcement described newly supported G-SYNC Compatible displays as providing a “baseline Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) experience” and named 19 models in that driver release. That is dated context, not a count of the current catalog; check the 2025 NVIDIA driver announcement only for that release’s details.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Check the exact model before buying
- Match the model number and regional suffix. Search NVIDIA’s current G-SYNC catalog for the exact SKU, then check the manufacturer’s regional product page. This matters especially for the LG 34GS95QE family.
- Confirm the listed category and specifications. Check whether the entry says G-SYNC Compatible, G-SYNC, or G-SYNC ULTIMATE, and review its resolution, panel, VRR range, and input.
- Check driver and connection requirements. Use the catalog’s minimum-driver information and verify that your GPU output, monitor input, and cable support the connection and operating mode you want. Confirm details with both NVIDIA and the monitor maker.
- Assess your own PC and desk. Choose resolution and screen size around your GPU’s capabilities, preferred games, viewing distance, and available space; a listed refresh ceiling does not mean your setup will reach it in every game.
- Verify purchase terms locally. Check current price, stock, warranty, return policy, and regional availability for the exact SKU. The cited catalog and announcements do not establish retailer pricing or inventory.
Newer announcements are not the same as confirmed availability
NVIDIA’s Gamescom 2026 announcement described the AGON by AOC AGP327KG as a 31.5-inch 5120×2880 display with native 144 Hz and G-SYNC Pulsar, alongside an ambient light sensor feature. The announcement documents a showcase; it does not establish broad retail availability or price. Treat it as an emerging option to verify, not an established pick in this shortlist. NVIDIA’s Gamescom 2026 announcement also discusses other announced high-refresh displays, whose catalog status and local availability should be checked before relying on them as purchase options.
Likewise, the Computex 2026 partner showcase described ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCWM at 31.5-inch 4K/240 Hz with a 1080p/480 Hz alternate mode, and PG27AQWP-GR/PG27AQWP-G at 26.5-inch 1440p/540 Hz or 720p/720 Hz. Those are announcement details, not proof of final specifications, current catalog inclusion, or availability where you live.
