Futurewave Arc is a concept, not a retail product. The open Argentium-silver bracelet is designed to notice when you have used selected phone apps continuously for a set period, then deliver a quiet tactile pulse through the metal. It has no screen, speaker, or indicator light, and Futurewave says it would not block apps or keep a usage history.
What Futurewave Arc is
Arc is an open torc: a continuous bracelet with no clasp or hinge. Futurewave revealed it as a concept in September 2026 after developing 3D-printed form studies and steel and titanium prototypes. The intended finished object would be shell-cast in Argentium silver, with the electronics hidden inside its flowing shank.
The form draws on Iron Age European torcs and references natural structures such as rib cages, wishbones, hydroids and chains of seed pods. The design is meant to remain a bracelet even if its electronics eventually stop working. Futurewave co-founder and CEO Cédric de Bellefroid described the goal as: “Jewellery first, one gesture inside it, and nothing kept.”
How Arc would tell you to stop using your phone
Arc is configured through a phone portal rather than through controls on the bracelet. You select a group of applications and set an uninterrupted-use threshold, such as 30 minutes. Arc then measures the current continuous session across those selected apps.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
- Choose apps: Select the applications that should count toward the intervention.
- Set a threshold: Enter the maximum uninterrupted period, for example 30 minutes.
- Receive the first cue: When the threshold is crossed, the bracelet sends one gentle pulse through its metal structure into your wrist.
- Receive a second cue if needed: If you continue using the phone, Arc sends a second identical pulse.
- Start a new interval: After the second pulse, the bracelet goes quiet and begins a new interval rather than escalating or locking anything.
This is a reminder, not an enforcement system. Arc would not close an app, dim the display, display a warning, play a sound or provide a dashboard showing past sessions.
What is inside the proposed bracelet
Futurewave has described the following architecture. These are concept specifications, not evidence of a shipped or independently tested consumer device.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
| Element | Proposed role |
|---|---|
| Piezoelectric element | Creates the tactile pulse that the wearer feels. |
| ONiO zero low-power controller | Runs the bracelet’s control logic while minimizing power use. |
| Bluetooth Low Energy | Communicates settings and session information with the phone. |
| Flexible circuit board | Fits the electronics into the curved shank. |
| Curved 25 mAh battery | Provides energy in the torc’s compact, curved form. |
| Charging circuitry | Supports recharging the battery. |
| Piezoelectric energy harvesting | Identified as a possible supplemental energy approach in the design. |
The published description does not provide battery-life measurements, charging times, water-resistance ratings, phone-platform requirements or results from a user trial. A 25 mAh capacity alone cannot establish how long a finished Arc would run because consumption depends on the controller, Bluetooth behavior, pulse frequency and charging design.
Privacy and data handling claims
Futurewave’s public description says: “Nothing is blocked. Nothing is shown. Nothing is tracked. The choice is yours.” Designboom reports that the concept keeps no usage history and requires neither an account nor a subscription. If implemented as described, that would distinguish Arc from screen-time dashboards that retain session data for reports or synchronization.

Those statements are design goals rather than independently verified performance results. No technical privacy audit, software documentation or consumer testing has been published in the available material, so it is not possible to verify how app-use events would be processed on the phone or how settings would be stored.
Is Futurewave Arc available to buy?
No. The September 2026 reveal was for a concept that had reached 3D-printing and prototype stages. Futurewave has not announced a production date, launch date, price, preorder, retail channel or production quantity. There is therefore no confirmed Arc listing to purchase and no evidence that a finished bracelet is shipping.

- [Durable and Portable Material] Premium rust-resistant stainless steel material with good flexibility, which not only avoids scratching the phone case, but also has excellent anti rust and anti fading performance
- [Multi scenario Practical] Paired with a lanyard or wristband, hands-free use can be achieved. The phone is within reach and not easily dropped, ideal for daily commuting and outdoor activities. Suitable for full coverage phone cases, does not support half coverage phone cases
- [Quality Service] If you find any damage or other issues with the product upon receipt, please contact us immediately. We will handle it quickly
Any future buying decision should wait for a first-party announcement that identifies the final materials, supported phones, charging method, warranty, price and data practices. Generic silver bracelets, phone screen-time tools and other wearables should not be presented as Arc itself: they use different intervention methods, materials and availability.

- It could provide a discreet interruption: A wrist pulse avoids a visible notification and can be noticed without taking the phone out of your hand.
- It would leave the decision to you: The second pulse is the last stated intervention; Arc does not block access.
- It would not prove reduced screen time: No published trial, adoption statistic or measured reduction in phone use establishes effectiveness.
- It would add hardware maintenance: A rechargeable battery and wireless connection would be necessary, although operating time and charging details have not been stated.
- It would depend on phone software: App selection and uninterrupted-use measurement require a compatible phone portal, but supported platforms have not been announced.
The bottom line on the Arc concept
Futurewave Arc proposes a deliberately quiet form of digital self-control: a silver torc that gives one pulse at a user-set uninterrupted-use limit and another if use continues. Its jewelry-first construction, no-display interaction and stated no-history approach are distinctive, but availability, price, compatibility, battery performance and real-world effectiveness remain unknown because Arc is still a concept rather than a confirmed product.
