Forza Horizon 6 is coming to PS5 in January 2027. The US digital PlayStation Store lists Standard, Deluxe, and Premium editions; Standard and Deluxe become playable on January 26, while Premium access starts on January 21. Every PS5 preorder includes a Ferrari J50 bonus car, but it is delivered only after you start the game and complete its prologue.
Digital preorders use immediate payment, and Sony’s refund rules depend on when you ordered and whether the main game has begun downloading or streaming. A disc edition is also planned through supporting retailers, although its price, stock, and retailer-specific cancellation terms have not been established.

The official US PlayStation Store shows three digital editions. The table separates what is confirmed for each tier from the date at which it can be played.

| Edition | US digital price | Included items listed by the publisher or store | Play date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $69.99 | Full game | January 26, 2027 |
| Deluxe | $99.99 | Full game, Welcome Pack, Car Pass | January 26, 2027 |
| Premium | $119.99 | Full game, Welcome Pack, Car Pass, VIP Membership, Expansion 1, Expansion 2, Time Attack Car Pack, Italian Passion Car Pack | January 21, 2027 early access |
These are listed US prices, not worldwide prices. Taxes, currency conversion, regional pricing, and local consumer rights can change the amount shown to a buyer outside the United States. The Premium listing’s earlier date is the calendar date to use when planning access; the publisher describes the advantage as five days early, while the Store page says “Play 4 days early.” Because those descriptions use different day-count wording, January 21 is the unambiguous reference.
What the edition names tell you
Standard is the entry point if you want only the game. Deluxe adds the Welcome Pack and Car Pass. Premium includes those items plus VIP Membership, two expansions, and two additional car packs. The available information identifies the products included in each bundle but does not define every benefit or the future release schedule for each add-on, so do not treat the table as a promise about specific cars, maps, missions, or delivery dates beyond the names shown.
Is the advertised car count included?
The official product description advertises “over 550 real-world cars.” That is a publisher and PlayStation Store figure, not an independently audited count. It describes the advertised game offering and should not be read as a guarantee that every vehicle is available immediately in every edition or region.

There are two relevant dates:

If you buy Premium, the earliest date shown for play is January 21. Buying Standard or Deluxe means waiting until January 26. The publisher’s announcement and the US Store listing agree on those calendar dates even though they phrase the length of Premium’s head start differently.

Does early access change the launch date?
No. January 26 remains the general launch date for the Standard and Deluxe editions. January 21 is an earlier access date tied to Premium, not a replacement release date for every edition. If you are coordinating with friends, confirm which edition each person owns before assuming everyone can join on the same day.
What preorder bonus do PS5 buyers receive?
Every PS5 edition preorder includes a pre-tuned Ferrari J50 in-game. The bonus is attached to the preorder rather than being limited to Deluxe or Premium.
When does the Ferrari J50 appear?
It is not placed in the garage at the instant you complete checkout. The publisher and Store information says you must start the game and finish the prologue first. After that introductory sequence, the car is added to your in-game garage. If you do not see it immediately after purchasing, complete the prologue before treating the missing car as a delivery problem.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDoes a disc preorder qualify?
The publisher describes the Ferrari J50 as a preorder bonus for PS5 editions. It also confirms that a disc version will be sold through supporting retailers. However, the available announcement does not specify how an individual retailer will distribute or document a physical preorder bonus. Check the retailer’s own listing and terms before paying for a disc copy; do not assume a physical store follows the digital Store’s fulfillment process.

Can I cancel my PS5 preorder?
For a digital preorder made through the US PlayStation Store, Sony’s policy uses both the order date and the download status of the main game. The Store listing states “PRE-ORDER – IMMEDIATE PAYMENT REQUIRED,” so the charge is not deferred until launch.
If you ordered more than 14 days before release
You must request cancellation and a refund before the release date. The main preorder content must not have started downloading or streaming. This is a deadline tied to the release date, not a general guarantee that any request made weeks later will be accepted.
If you ordered 14 days or less before release
You may request cancellation within 14 days of placing the preorder, again only if the main game has not begun downloading or streaming. The 14-day window is measured from the purchase date in this case.
Why downloading matters
Sony treats preloading as downloading. Automatic downloads can begin without a manual download command when the console and account settings allow them. Streaming the main game also counts as starting delivery. Once the main part of the game has started downloading or streaming, Sony says a refund cannot be requested under this preorder policy.

How to submit the request
- Identify the purchase date and compare it with January 26, 2027, the Standard and Deluxe release date. If you bought Premium, also note that January 21 is the start of its early access.
- Check whether the main game has downloaded, preloaded, or been streamed. Downloading only a small bonus item is not the same question as the main game, but Sony’s eligibility decision is based on the main preorder content.
- Make the request through PlayStation Support before the applicable deadline. The support guidance directs customers to contact Support for cancellation.
- Provide the account and transaction details requested by Support and wait for Sony to determine eligibility under the rules that apply to your region and purchase.
Do not rely on a successful request until Sony confirms it. Eligibility can depend on the account, region, exact purchase type, and actual download status. This policy applies to digital PlayStation Store preorders; it does not set the terms for a disc preorder from a retailer.
Digital or disc: which PS5 preorder path fits?
| Consideration | Digital PlayStation Store | Physical PS5 disc |
|---|---|---|
| Where you buy | Official regional PlayStation Store | Supporting retailers named by the publisher’s announcement; no specific retailer is identified here |
| Price information available | US prices are listed for all three editions | Price and stock are not established by the official announcement reviewed |
| Payment and cancellation | US listing says immediate payment; Sony’s digital preorder rules govern cancellation | Retailer’s own payment, dispatch, and cancellation terms apply |
| Why choose it | Convenient download and, with Premium, access from January 21 | A physical copy for buyers who want a disc and retailer transaction |
The two routes should not be treated as interchangeable. Sony’s digital cancellation conditions cannot be applied automatically to a physical order, and a retailer’s return policy may vary by country, payment method, shipment status, or whether the package has been opened.

Choose Deluxe for the two listed add-ons

- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Choose Premium for earliest access and the largest bundle
Premium costs $20 more than Deluxe and $50 more than Standard at the listed US prices. It is the only tier with the January 21 early-access date and includes every add-on named in the edition comparison: Welcome Pack, Car Pass, VIP Membership, Expansion 1, Expansion 2, Time Attack Car Pack, and Italian Passion Car Pack. Buy it for those specifically listed inclusions and the earlier date, not for an assumed feature that the listing does not describe.
Do I need PlayStation Plus?
The PlayStation Store listing says PlayStation Plus is sold separately for online console multiplayer. That statement concerns online multiplayer access; it does not change the edition contents, the preorder bonus, or the release dates. Check the current Plus requirements on your account and in your region before planning multiplayer sessions.
Common preorder problems and what to check
The price is different from the figures above
Confirm that you are viewing the US Store and the correct edition. The figures in this guide are US digital listing prices checked in October 2026, and Store prices can change. A non-US account may show a different currency and amount.
The Ferrari J50 is missing
Start the game and complete the prologue. The bonus is designed to appear in the garage after that sequence, not immediately after checkout. If it remains absent afterward, keep your transaction receipt and contact the game or platform support channel with the account used for the preorder.
You want to cancel after preloading
Preloading counts as downloading under Sony’s guidance. Stop assuming that deleting the partial install restores eligibility; the policy concerns whether the main content has begun downloading or streaming. Contact PlayStation Support and ask for an account-specific decision.
A disc listing has no clear bonus or return language
The publisher confirms disc availability only through supporting retailers, without naming a retailer or setting a physical price in the announcement. Read the specific retailer’s product page for bonus delivery, payment timing, dispatch, and cancellation terms before placing the order.
Bottom line for a PS5 preorder
For US digital buyers, Standard is $69.99, Deluxe is $99.99, and Premium is $119.99. Standard and Deluxe start January 26, 2027; Premium starts January 21. Every PS5 preorder includes the Ferrari J50 after the prologue. Digital payment is immediate, and cancellation depends on the order timing and whether the main game has begun downloading or streaming. A disc edition is confirmed, but its retailer-specific price and refund terms must be checked where you buy.
