For the reliable, official ways to get more Portable Extractors in Fortnite, complete Bonus Goals quests, trade in Sprite Dust, and progress Sprite Mastery. A guide updated August 25, 2026 also reports daily purchases, quests, a lobby code, and event rewards—but check the live game before counting on its specific amounts or schedules.
How to earn more Portable Extractors
Epic calls Portable Extractors “Extraction Gizmos.” Its official guidance lists three general ways to earn more: complete Bonus Goals quests, trade in Sprite Dust, and advance Sprite Mastery progression. Epic does not establish a permanent daily allotment or fixed Sprite Dust price, so use the current in-game screens for what is available now.
Complete Bonus Goals quests
Check the current quest list for Bonus Goals that award Gizmos. Epic’s v41.00 notes identify more Gizmos as rewards available through Bonus Goals; the specific quests and rewards can depend on the current season.
Trade Sprite Dust
Finding and extracting Sprites earns Sprite Dust. Epic says Dust can be spent on the collection and upgrades, and identifies trading it in as a way to earn more Gizmos. Check the live service station or relevant in-game screen for current availability and cost.

What happens to your Extractors
Gizmos cannot be traded or dropped when you are eliminated. Your inventory lasts for the season and expires when the season ends. Epic says to check the expiration timer on the Battle Royale mode selection screen or in the Gizmo Wheel.
If the item is hard to access on mobile
Epic’s v42.00 notes describe a mobile fix for custom HUD layouts that lack a Reload button or use Dynamic Quickbar Slots, addressing access to Portable Extractors. If the item is not accessible, check your HUD controls and the pickaxe/Gizmo slot; the available controls can depend on your layout.
