The “We’ve noticed your computer is currently offline” message in EA Sports FC 26 does not necessarily mean your PC has lost internet access. EA developer EAKalina says the prompt usually appears when the game cannot verify your EA Account. Start by checking EA’s service status, then sign back into the EA app with the account linked to your game and verify your PC’s date, time, and connection.
What the message means
The prompt asks you to connect to the internet and sign in with an EA Account, but the wording alone does not diagnose a physical internet outage. In a response to an FC 26 Steam community report of this same message, EA developer EAKalina said, “That message usually shows up when the game can’t verify your account properly.” The cause could involve EA services, EA app authentication, the account linked to your game, or connection stability; the message itself does not identify which one.
Work through these checks in order
-
Check EA service status
Open EA’s server-status page and check FC 26 and the EA app. If a service problem is reported, wait for it to recover and try launching again.

Sign out of the EA app and back in
Fully sign out of the EA app, then sign back in using the EA Account associated with your FC 26 game entitlement. Launch the game again. This is one of the direct checks suggested by EAKalina for this prompt.

Check your PC’s date and time
Make sure the system date, time, and time zone are accurate. Incorrect system time can interfere with account verification; EA’s developer specifically recommends checking it for this issue.
-
Check the connection
Confirm that your connection is working, then restart your router if appropriate. If you use Wi-Fi, temporarily testing with a wired connection can help determine whether connection stability is involved. EA recommends wired connectivity in its guidance for a separate network error, EC:10005; that makes it a reasonable stability test, not a guaranteed fix for this FC 26 message.

Verify the account linked to your game
If you launch through Steam or another storefront, check that the EA Account currently signed into the EA app is the account linked to the platform account that owns the game. Follow EA’s account-linking instructions. Do not unlink accounts as an early troubleshooting step; the guidance for this prompt does not establish unlinking as a remedy.

If the prompt still appears
EA’s general troubleshooting page covers related EA app authentication and network problems. It describes EC:10000 as an EA Account authentication failure, EC:10500 as an authentication error that might be caused by a service outage, and EC:10005 as a possible home-network or internet issue. These are separate error codes, not confirmed codes for the FC 26 offline prompt, so use the recommendations as adjacent guidance rather than assuming your message is one of those errors.

For authentication problems, EA advises checking for a stable connection and correct login details. Its EC:10500 guidance includes clearing the EA app cache and trying again later if the issue remains. For EC:10005, EA recommends troubleshooting the connection and says, “We recommend using a wired connection to get the most stable connection possible.” See EA’s EA app error-code and launch-issue guidance for the steps relevant to your situation.
If you still cannot launch FC 26, use the FC 26 help hub to find account recovery, linking help, connection resources, and EA support. Avoid starting with a reinstall or account unlink: the cited guidance does not establish either as the fix for this particular prompt.
