To unlock Fishipedia in How to Fish, find and kill Drip variants, using the in-game encyclopedia to track which Drip entries are still blank. The guides recommend finishing the story first for easier island access, but do not establish that as a requirement.
What Fishipedia requires
Fishipedia is tied to finding and killing Drip creature variants. The game’s Steam description presents collecting rare fish variants as a core goal, but it does not publish a detailed Fishipedia checklist or state the exact number of Drip entries required. Steam’s game listing

Use the encyclopedia to find your missing entries
- Press Tab to open the in-game encyclopedia.
- Review the Drip entries separately from the standard creature entries.
- Note each blank Drip entry; those are the gaps to work on.

Complete the entries and check for the achievement
- If it suits your progress, finish the main story first. The walkthroughs recommend this because post-story access and gear can make island cleanup more convenient; they do not establish story completion as a hard unlock gate.
- Use your blank Drip entries as a checklist and search the relevant islands for those creatures.
- Kill the Drip variants you find, then reopen the encyclopedia to check whether their entries have filled in.
- Repeat for the remaining blanks and check whether Fishipedia unlocks.
The reviewed walkthrough does not provide a verified spawn map, so it cannot support exact island coordinates or a guaranteed search route.
How many Drip entries are required?
A community guide describes a working catalog of 49 creatures: 38 regular fish and 11 boss-class entries. That is a community catalog figure, not an officially confirmed Fishipedia requirement. The same guide reports disagreement about whether boss-class entries count as Drip variants, so do not assume that a boss kill completes both the standard and Drip rows. If Fishipedia does not unlock
If the encyclopedia appears complete but the achievement has not triggered, the available sources do not establish a definitive fix or settle whether boss-class rows must be completed. Recheck the Drip entries rather than only the standard entries, and verify that each relevant kill registered in the encyclopedia. If the uncertainty concerns a boss row or a current game update, the sources reviewed cannot confirm the rule for that case.
