The Fisher & Paykel DW60FC2B2 is a 15-place-setting, freestanding dishwasher with seven programs, three modifiers and a height-adjustable upper basket. Fisher & Paykel’s New Zealand specifications list 246 kWh per year, 12.2 L per wash and 46 dBA; these are manufacturer figures, not independent test results. The available public review information does not reveal independent cleaning or drying scores, so it is possible to assess the model’s features and fit, but not to establish how well it performs against competitors.
What kind of dishwasher is the DW60FC2B2?
Fisher & Paykel identifies the DW60FC2B2 as a Series 5 Contemporary freestanding dishwasher. Its New Zealand guide lists capacity at 15 place settings. That gives a useful sense of nominal capacity, but it does not show how many unusually large items or awkwardly shaped dishes will fit in a particular load.
The manufacturer’s 2026 New Zealand guide gives external dimensions of 850–895 mm high, 597 mm wide and 600 mm deep. It says round plates up to 320 mm fit in the lower basket and up to 250 mm in the upper basket. The top basket is height-adjustable, while cup racks and tines are adjustable or foldable. These details may help with larger plates and mixed loads, but measure your own dishes and installation space before buying.
What does it offer for washing and drying?
Programs and modifiers
The listed programs are 60 min, Auto, Eco, Heavy, Light, Medium and Rinse. The three modifiers are Dry+, Half Load and Sanitise. Fisher & Paykel says Auto Cycle senses how dirty the dishes are and adjusts the wash. Its product page also claims Eco Cycle uses up to 45% less energy than Medium. That percentage is the manufacturer’s comparison claim, not a result independently established here.

Drying, leak protection and other features
Fisher & Paykel states: “AutoDry automatically opens the door at the end of a cycle for better drying.” This describes the intended feature; it is not independent evidence of drying performance. The manufacturer describes Aqua Stop as shutting off water if a leak is detected.
The quick reference guide also lists a three-stage filtration system, stainless-steel tub, flood protection, keylock, delay start of up to 12 hours and a rinse-aid indicator. Those features describe the equipment and controls, not how effectively it cleans in real-world use.

What do its energy, water and noise figures mean?
These figures are from Fisher & Paykel’s 2026 New Zealand guide and should be read as that market’s manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements:

Will it fit your kitchen and connections?
The New Zealand guide specifies a 220–240 V, 50 Hz supply at 10 A; water pressure of 30–1000 kPa; and a 3/4-inch BSP (20 mm) water-inlet hose connector. Confirm your local voltage, plumbing connection, available clearance and exact regional variant with the seller or installer. Product dimensions and specifications can differ across markets or variants.
- Measure the installation opening, including space for the stated height range and depth.
- Check that your largest round plates are within the stated basket limits, and account for the room needed by other items in a full load.
- Verify electrical and water connections against the requirements for the unit sold in your region.
Is there independent evidence that it cleans and dries well?
CHOICE’s public page confirms that it has a review page for this freestanding dishwasher, but its expert rating, wash and dry scores, energy-efficiency score, test-use figures, noise, program time and year tested are member-only. The public page therefore does not support a conclusion that the DW60FC2B2 cleans or dries better or worse than competing models. No verified buyer-experience sample or reliability or repair-rate statistic is established by the accessible information either.

On the available evidence, the DW60FC2B2 looks like a feature-rich option on paper, with flexible basket adjustments, several wash choices and manufacturer-stated energy and water ratings for New Zealand. Whether it is a good dishwasher in practice remains unproven here: specifications cannot substitute for comparable independent tests.

Before choosing it over another model, compare results from the same market and test basis for cleaning, drying, measured energy and water use, and noise. Also compare capacity and rack flexibility, installation requirements, warranty and service terms, and like-for-like current prices. The accessible CHOICE page lists a 2-year warranty, but check the terms applicable to the exact regional variant you are considering.
