The Fisher & Paykel DD60DDFB9 is most compelling if you want two dishwasher drawers that can run independently, making it easier to wash a small load without waiting to fill a full-size machine. Its Australia-market specification lists 14 place settings across the two drawers, but the information available here does not establish that it cleans or lasts better than a conventional dishwasher. Treat it as a format-led choice, and check cabinet fit, local pricing and independent performance evidence before buying.
What is the Fisher & Paykel DD60DDFB9?
It is a Series 9 Contemporary Double DishDrawer built-under dishwasher. Each drawer operates independently, so you can run one while loading or using the other. Fisher & Paykel’s Australia product page describes the two-drawer design as a way to handle smaller loads separately or use different programs in each drawer.
The practical distinction from a conventional dishwasher is access and load-splitting: you open and load a drawer rather than a full drop-down door, and you need not run both drawers together. Fisher & Paykel’s DD60DDFB9 Quick Reference Guide, dated 17 April 2026, says: “Wash one drawer while you load the other, with minimal bending and room in each drawer for full-size dinner plates.”

For the Australia-market listing, Fisher & Paykel specifies 820–880 mm high, 599 mm wide and 573 mm deep. It lists 14 place settings in total, or seven per drawer. The manufacturer’s model guide says each drawer accommodates round plates up to 280 mm.

Because this is a built-under appliance, check the installation guide and the actual cabinet opening before ordering. The stated height range does not by itself confirm that your opening, plumbing, power connection or surrounding cabinetry will suit the installation. The quick reference guide is for New Zealand documentation and warns that specifications may change, so confirm the guide and requirements for your exact market and model.
How much does the DD60DDFB9 cost?
Fisher & Paykel’s Australia page displayed the black stainless steel version at AUD $1,799 when accessed on 7 October 2026 and also listed stainless steel as an available finish. This is a dated, market-specific listing, not a guaranteed current price or a price for other regions. Check local stock, finish and price with the seller before deciding.

Can you run one drawer at a time?
Yes. The manufacturer says the drawers operate independently: you can run one drawer while the other is empty, being loaded or used separately, and choose different programs for each. This is useful when a full-size load would take too long to accumulate or when you want to separate loads. Whether that flexibility justifies the purchase depends on how often you would use the drawers independently and whether their individual capacity suits your dishes.

The Sanitise modifier is described by Fisher & Paykel as killing 99.9% of bacteria in the final rinse and as certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 184. This is the manufacturer’s stated final-rinse claim; it should not be read as a broader guarantee about every item, cycle or hygiene outcome.

The sources available here do not establish a comparative cleaning result. CHOICE has a DD60DDFB9 review page and identifies Denis Gallagher as a senior project officer who produces tests including dishwashers, but the accessible page information did not provide a usable score or model performance finding. There is therefore no basis here to call the machine a CHOICE winner or loser.

Who should consider it—and what should they check?
- Consider it if: you often have smaller loads, value running drawers separately, or prefer drawer access to a conventional drop-down door.
- Check the fit: compare the cabinet opening with the height, width and depth figures and the installation guide for your market.
- Check the usable space: confirm that the drawer height and rack arrangement work for your bowls, pans and plates, including the published 280 mm round-plate limit.
