Its main draw is flexibility: the two drawers work independently, so you can run one load or operate separate wash cycles at the same time. The Australian listing specifies 14 place settings in total, 42 dBA for the standard top-drawer cycle, and a cabinet height range of 820–880 mm. Those figures and some features vary by market, and the available evidence does not establish an independent hands-on performance or long-term reliability verdict.
What the DD60D2NX9 is—and who it suits
This is a two-drawer dishwasher, not a conventional single cavity with one door. Fisher & Paykel says each drawer can run independently and that separate wash programs can be selected. That makes the format useful when you often have a small load, want different cycles for different dishes, or prefer loading and unloading at waist height. It is a product capability, not proof of a particular time or energy saving.
The Australian listing gives a total capacity of 14 place settings, seven per drawer. Whether that capacity works for your household depends on the shape and size of the items you load; check the model’s rack layout and plate clearances against your own dishes before buying.

The figures below are from Fisher & Paykel’s Australian product listing, accessed in 2026. They are manufacturer-published specifications, not results from an independent comparative test.

Use the energy and water numbers as listing-specific figures, not as a direct ranking against another dishwasher: labels, test methods, and cycle conditions need to match before comparisons are meaningful. The published sound figure is tied to the standard top-drawer cycle, so it does not establish the noise level of every program or two simultaneous cycles.
How the two drawers and wash options work
The manufacturer’s quick reference guide says both drawers can operate simultaneously and that separate programs can be selected. You can therefore use one drawer for a smaller load while leaving the other unused, or choose different cycles for the two loads. The guide describes each drawer as a “true half load”; treat that as the manufacturer’s description rather than independent evidence that it uses less water than alternatives.

Programs and modifiers
The seven listed programs are Eco, Glassware, Heavy, Light, Medium, Rinse and 60 min. The quick reference guide also lists Quick, Sanitise and Dry+ as modifiers. A modifier is an option to apply in conjunction with a program where supported; consult the guide for the available combinations and operating instructions.
What the Sanitise certification means
Fisher & Paykel’s quick reference guide, dated 17 April 2026, states that Sanitise kills 99.9% of bacteria in the final rinse and is certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 184. That is the manufacturer’s specific claim about the final-rinse function; it should not be read as a claim that the dishwasher sterilizes items or guarantees a health outcome.

Will it fit your cabinet?
The Australian product page lists dimensions of 820–880 mm high, 599 mm wide and 573 mm deep. Measure the available opening and check surrounding cabinetry, services and installation clearances against the current installation guide for the exact model sold in your country. A nominal width or depth alone does not confirm that the unit will fit an existing opening.
Fisher & Paykel’s design-planning guide lists a 54 kg weight and, for grouped AU/NZ/IE/UK/SG variants, 220–240 VAC at 50 Hz, an 8.5 A service, a 3/4-inch BSP water connection and water pressure from 0.03 to 1 MPa. That guide is marked preliminary and covers related variants as well as this model. Use it only for planning context; have the seller or installer confirm the current model-specific requirements and applicable local electrical and plumbing rules.

Built-under installation means cabinet fit is part of the purchase decision. Before ordering, confirm the exact market version, current installation documentation, opening dimensions, utility connections and who is responsible for installation. Do not assume a specification for one regional version applies everywhere.
Regional features, warranty and included items
Regional listings are not identical. Fisher & Paykel’s Hong Kong page says Wi-Fi functionality is unavailable there and lists a two-year parts-and-labour warranty. Its Australian page describes Wi-Fi and SmartHQ connected features. Check the product page and warranty terms for the exact country and SKU being sold; the Hong Kong warranty and connectivity details should not be generalized to other markets.

The Australian listing includes a cutlery basket, kickstrip, knife clip and multipurpose clip. Confirm the delivered package contents in your own market rather than assuming every regional listing or shipment is identical. Electrical requirements, water connection, warranty and connected functions also need local confirmation.
Reliability and the limits of available evidence
The available information supports a specification and fit assessment, not a proven long-term reliability verdict. One Reddit discussion describes a user’s concern about deformed microfilters and cleaning performance on this model. It is an individual report, not a verified diagnosis or evidence of how common the issue is. If it concerns you, ask the seller or a qualified service technician about inspection, replacement-part availability and local service coverage.

- Measure the cabinet opening and check depth, height adjustment, service access and clearances with the installer.
- Compare the drawer layout with your cookware and largest plates, not only the 14-place-setting headline.
- Check local electrical and plumbing requirements, warranty duration, authorized service and included accessories.
- If you are comparing resource use or noise with another dishwasher, check that the market label, test conditions, cycle and measurement basis are comparable.
Verdict: a flexible format, with fit and local details to verify
The DD60D2NX9 is most compelling if independent drawers, smaller-load flexibility and built-under design match how you use a dishwasher. Its published capacity, noise, energy and water figures provide useful starting points, but they are market- and cycle-specific manufacturer specifications. Buy only after confirming cabinet fit, installation requirements, regional connectivity and warranty for the exact unit on offer.
