Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Expansion Pass is a digital add-on for Nintendo Switch 2 that requires the full game. It bundles three DLC waves: Wave 1 is available now, Wave 2 is planned for the holiday/winter 2026 period, and Wave 3 is planned for 2027.
Nintendo sells the waves only as one pass, not as separate purchases. The U.S. list price is $34.99 for the pass, while a game-plus-pass bundle is listed at $104.99. Regional prices and storefront timing can differ.
What the Expansion Pass includes
The pass expands Fortune’s Weave in three distinct ways. The first wave is an equipment drop built around prototype weapons for the game’s four heroes. The second adds powerful divine characters and cosmetic options. The third is the largest story-focused update, introducing new character episodes, recruitable allies, and classes.
- Wave 1: Prototype weapons for the four heroes, modeled after the Heroes’ Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
- Wave 2: Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah join battles, accompanied by new wearable outfits.
- Wave 3: New stories centered on Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel, and Anatolia, plus new recruitable allies and classes.
Nintendo describes the product as a way to expand the saga with new stories, allies, and more. Buying the pass grants access to all three waves as each one releases.

Release schedule at a glance
| Wave | Content | Current timing |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Prototype weapons for the four heroes, modeled after Three Houses Heroes’ Relics | Available now; Nintendo’s store page lists October 14, 2026 |
| 2 | Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah join battles; new wearable outfits | Holiday/winter 2026; no exact date announced |
| 3 | Stories for Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel, and Anatolia; new allies and classes | 2027; no exact date announced |
The schedule is a set of windows rather than a complete calendar. Wave 1 is the only wave with a dated storefront listing. Nintendo’s U.S. announcement uses October 15, 2026 for the pass launch, while the store page lists October 14. Those dates indicate regional or storefront timing, not two versions of Wave 1 or separate content.
Wave 1: prototype weapons
Wave 1 is available now and focuses on equipment rather than a new story chapter or playable faction. Each of the four heroes receives a prototype weapon inspired by the Heroes’ Relics associated with Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
The wording matters: these are described as prototype weapons, not as the original Relics from Three Houses. The announced feature is therefore a thematic equipment set that connects Fortune’s Weave to another game in the series while remaining part of the new game’s content.
Who benefits from Wave 1?
Players who are already using the four heroes can access the most immediate addition in the pass. Because the announced content is weapon-based, Wave 1 is the wave with the clearest day-one gameplay impact for an existing campaign. Nintendo lists it as available now, so there is no need to wait for the later seasonal windows to receive this part of the pass.

Wave 2: gods and outfits
Wave 2 is planned for holiday/winter 2026. It adds three named gods—Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah—who join battles, along with new wearable outfits.
What is confirmed
- Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah are the three names used consistently on Nintendo’s support and store listings.
- The gods are described as joining battles, making this a character-focused combat addition rather than an equipment-only drop.
- New wearable outfits arrive in the same wave.
- Nintendo has not announced an exact release day.
The holiday/winter label covers the end-of-year 2026 period. It should not be read as a promise of a particular month or week. Until Nintendo publishes a day, buyers should plan around the seasonal window rather than a fixed launch date.
Wave 3: new stories, allies, and classes
Wave 3 is planned for 2027, with no exact date announced. It is the pass’s narrative and progression-heavy update, adding stories featuring Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel, and Anatolia.

- New stories built around Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel, and Anatolia.
- New recruitable allies.
- New classes.
Because Nintendo has announced only the year, the order and timing of these story episodes remain open. The announcement also does not specify how many chapters, allies, or classes are included, so those details should not be assumed from the character list alone.

Platform and game requirements
The Expansion Pass launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. It is digital DLC, not a standalone game, and requires the full Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave game.
Before you buy
- Have a Nintendo Switch 2 system.
- Own the full Fortune’s Weave game, or purchase the game-plus-pass bundle.
- Buy the Expansion Pass as a single package; Nintendo does not offer Wave 1, Wave 2, or Wave 3 as separate products.
The pass does not replace the base game. A pass-only purchase is intended for someone who already owns Fortune’s Weave, while a new player can choose the listed game-plus-pass bundle.
Can you buy the waves separately?
No. Nintendo sells all three waves together in the Expansion Pass. There is no separate purchase option for the prototype weapons, the gods and outfits, or the later stories and classes.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
This creates two practical buying choices. Existing players can buy the pass now to receive Wave 1 and automatically gain the later waves when they release. Players mainly interested in Wave 2 or Wave 3 cannot reserve only that wave; they must either buy the full pass in advance or wait for more information while accepting that the announced product structure is a bundled pass.

Prices and bundle options

| Game-plus-Expansion-Pass bundle | $104.99 | Nintendo U.S. list price reported October 15, 2026 |
These are U.S. list prices. Nintendo may set different prices in other regions, and a regional storefront should be treated as the authority for the amount charged at checkout. The available information does not establish a separate price for any individual wave because individual waves are not sold separately.

The right timing depends on which kind of content matters to you and how much schedule certainty you need.
Buy now if Wave 1 matters
Buying now gives an existing owner access to the prototype weapons immediately. It also secures access to Wave 2 and Wave 3 under the same pass when those waves launch. This is the straightforward option for players who want the complete announced package and are comfortable with the later windows remaining seasonal or year-based.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWait if you need a firm calendar
Wave 1 is dated and available, but Wave 2 has only a holiday/winter 2026 window and Wave 3 has only a 2027 window. If you need exact release days before spending, waiting for Nintendo to publish those dates provides more certainty. Waiting does not create a separate Wave 3 or Wave 2 purchase option; it only delays the bundled purchase.

Choose the bundle as a new player
Someone who does not yet own Fortune’s Weave needs the base game as well as the DLC. The announced game-plus-pass bundle combines both products for $104.99 in the United States. Existing owners should look at the pass-only listing instead of buying another copy of the game.
Why the Wave 2 character list can look inconsistent
Nintendo’s U.S. news article mentions “Mars, Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah” in its Wave 2 copy. Nintendo Support, the U.S. store page, and Nintendo Malaysia list Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah without Mars. Because the three-name list appears across those other official listings, Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah are the confirmed Wave 2 names at present.
The extra name in the U.S. news copy should not be treated as confirmation of a fourth Wave 2 god until Nintendo clarifies the discrepancy. It may be an editorial inconsistency, but the current announcements do not establish Mars as part of the Wave 2 content list.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →How to read the schedule as it stands
There are three different levels of certainty in the announcement. Wave 1 has both a release status and a store date, although October 14 and October 15 appear across different Nintendo listings. Wave 2 has a broad seasonal target and a defined content outline, but no day. Wave 3 has a calendar year and named story subjects, but no season or day.
That distinction is useful when planning a playthrough. The equipment-focused first wave can be used now; the battle-focused second wave is expected later in 2026; and the story, ally, and class expansion is a 2027 plan rather than a dated launch commitment. Nintendo can add exact dates and further details later, but the announced pass structure will remain the same unless Nintendo changes its product listing.
Bottom line for buyers
Fortune’s Weave’s Expansion Pass is a three-wave digital package for Nintendo Switch 2 owners who have the full game. Wave 1 is available now with four prototype weapons. Wave 2 is scheduled for holiday/winter 2026 with Aurora, Smyrnos, Jurah, and new outfits. Wave 3 is planned for 2027 with character stories, recruitable allies, and classes. Since Nintendo does not sell the waves individually, buy the $34.99 U.S. pass when you are ready for the complete announced package, or choose the $104.99 game-plus-pass bundle if you still need the base game.
