On a Lenovo IdeaPad 110, check the laptop’s sides and the area near the power button for a small button or pinhole marked with a backward-arrow or upside-down-U-like icon. Lenovo says Novo-button placement varies by model, so confirm the control in the user guide for your exact machine type before pressing it.
Where to look on an IdeaPad 110
Lenovo’s general guidance places the Novo button commonly on a laptop’s side or near its power button. It may be a pinhole rather than a raised button. Check both sides and the power-button area for the identifying icon; do not assume an unmarked hole is the Novo control just because it is in a likely spot. Lenovo’s Novo button overview explains that placement differs among models.
The IdeaPad 110-14IBR, machine type 80T6, appears in Lenovo’s support material, but that does not establish the button’s position on every IdeaPad 110 variant. Find your machine type on the device label or through Lenovo support identification, then consult the matching user guide for its control layout.
How to identify and use the Novo button
- Shut down the laptop. Lenovo’s recovery instructions start with the computer powered off.
- Confirm the control. Match its icon and position against the user guide for your exact machine type.
- Press gently. If the control is a pinhole, use the tip of an unfolded paper clip or a similar pointed object, as Lenovo recommends. Do not force it.
- Choose an option from the menu. Read the choices on screen and select only the function you intend to use.
What the Novo menu can do
Depending on the model and software version, the menu may offer System Recovery, BIOS Setup, or boot-menu options. Lenovo’s instructions describe System Recovery as one possible choice, but recovery can change the installed system; read the on-screen prompts before proceeding. Lenovo’s recovery guidance covers the recovery route, while its BIOS entry guidance also documents function-key access. The Novo button is therefore not necessarily the only way to reach BIOS.

If you cannot find it
- Check the exact machine type and use its matching Lenovo user guide rather than relying on another IdeaPad 110’s layout.
- Look for the Novo icon before using any pinhole; location alone is not enough to identify it.
- If your guide does not show a Novo control, follow the BIOS or recovery instructions documented for that machine instead of probing unidentified openings.
