To find a saved note, open Samsung Notes and search from the app’s Home screen. If it does not appear, check the Home screen’s folders and categories. To open notes on another supported Galaxy device or Galaxy Book, use the same Samsung account and turn on Samsung Cloud sync in Samsung Notes on both devices.
Find a note in Samsung Notes
- Open Samsung Notes on the Galaxy phone, tablet, or supported PC where you expect the note.
- Search from the Home screen. Samsung’s guide to using Samsung Notes on a Samsung PC says saved notes can be found from the Home screen or by searching in the app. Try a distinctive word or phrase from the note.
- Browse folders and categories if search does not find it. Check whether a folder or category is selected; the note may be filed somewhere else.
On a PC, selecting a note opens it for viewing or editing. Samsung says changes are saved when you return using Back.
Make notes available on another device
For cross-device access, use Samsung Notes on the other supported device and sync through Samsung Cloud. Confirm that both devices are signed in to the same Samsung account and that syncing is enabled in Samsung Notes settings on each device. Samsung says the PC app is optimized for Galaxy Book models and may not work with other Windows PCs. Check compatibility for your specific computer and software version.

Why the Samsung Cloud website won’t show the note
You can open Samsung Cloud in a PC browser, but it is not an interface for opening or downloading individual Samsung Notes. Samsung describes the portal as showing synced-app summaries; to view synced app data, open the relevant app on a phone or tablet. See Samsung’s Samsung Cloud backup access guidance.
If a note is still missing
Import a note
In Samsung Notes, go to Menu → Settings → Import notes and check whether the note can be brought in from a Samsung account. Samsung also supports saving notes as PDF, Word, PowerPoint, image, or text files, which can provide a separate copy.

There is a specific limitation for PDF overlay translations: Samsung says they cannot be saved in their original translated state and do not support sync, sharing, save, or backup and restore.
Restore from a backup
If the note may have been included in an earlier backup, Samsung’s restore path is Settings → Samsung account → Samsung Cloud → Restore data. Choose the relevant prior backup and check the available data before restoring. Samsung also says Smart Switch can restore a backup stored on a PC or external storage to a new or reset device. A restore can only return data that was included in the backup.

Samsung Notes and OneNote sync on One UI 9
Samsung’s current troubleshooting notice says Samsung Notes-to-OneNote sync is unavailable on devices running One UI 9 and recommends Samsung Cloud sync instead. Other Samsung support pages may still show OneNote setup steps, so check your current app settings and software version rather than assuming the integration is available on every device.
