Siri AI can search personal content on an eligible iPhone, but availability depends on your device, language, and region. If the feature is available to you, turn on its beta in Settings, then ask Siri to find what you remember. Apple’s documented example is “Find photos from my trip to Lisbon.”
Check that Siri AI is available on your iPhone
Apple lists the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 models or later as eligible for the iOS 27 beta, subject to Apple Intelligence support and language settings. Siri and the device language must be set to a supported language. Siri AI is initially English-only and will not initially be available in the EU on iOS. See Apple’s Siri AI setup guide for current availability details.
If your iPhone or region does not qualify, the Siri AI beta option may not appear. A new phone is not needed if you already have a supported model.

- Open Settings and tap Siri.
- If Siri is off, turn it on first.
- Tap Try Siri AI (Beta) and follow the on-screen setup.
Ask Siri to search your personal content
Activate Siri and describe the item you want in your own words. Apple’s documented sample request is: “Find photos from my trip to Lisbon”. Apple says Siri AI can search photos, mail, messages, calendar, and more; iOS 27 also describes finding an email buried in the inbox or a saved note.

For an email or note, mention a remembered detail such as the sender, subject, event, or topic. Treat that as suggested natural language, not a guaranteed command: Apple does not publish exact email or note prompts or guarantee that a particular phrasing will return a result.
If Siri does not find the item
- Confirm you completed the beta setup and are asking Siri AI.
- Try a more distinctive detail you remember, such as a trip, sender, or subject.
- Check that the content is in an app Siri can search. Apple describes support across personal content, but does not promise that every item or app will be searchable.
- Use Spotlight for a narrower search. Spotlight can find apps and app content, and it can search text in photos. Third-party app content appears only when the app supports Spotlight indexing. Spotlight is not the same as Siri AI’s conversational search across personal context. See Apple’s Spotlight guide.
Know the beta’s limits
Apple warns that usage limits may apply. For server-side features, daily limits can vary with the feature, request complexity, system demand, system policies, and other factors. Apple’s reviewed iOS 27 materials do not state a fixed Siri AI quota or publish a search accuracy rate.

Availability and settings can change during a beta. Apple’s iOS 27 updates page is the place to check for current support and usage information.
