For most buyers, the right choice is straightforward: get Digital Standard if you want only Rebirth, Digital Deluxe for digital bonuses, Physical Deluxe for the SteelBook, art book and soundtrack CD, a Twin Pack if you still need FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE, and the Collector’s Edition only if the large Sephiroth statue justifies its cost and display space.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launched for PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. The editions differ mainly in whether you receive the first remake game, physical collectibles, digital extras or a premium statue.

What is included in each Final Fantasy VII Rebirth edition?
Digital Standard Edition
The Digital Standard Edition contains the complete Final Fantasy VII Rebirth game for PlayStation 5. It is the least complicated option when you do not need a disc, collectibles or bonus items. There is no documented art book, soundtrack or bonus-item package attached to this edition.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Physical Standard Edition
The Physical Standard Edition is the regular physical package with the game disc. It suits players who prefer to install from a disc, lend or resell a copy where permitted, or keep a boxed edition without paying for Deluxe contents. Square Enix’s physical comparison identifies it as the standard physical package; the documented package does not include the Deluxe SteelBook, art book or mini soundtrack CD.
Digital Deluxe Edition
Digital Deluxe includes the full game plus three categories of extras:
- A digital mini soundtrack.
- A digital art book.
- Magic Pot Summoning Materia, Reclaimant Choker and Orchid Bracelet.
The digital art book and mini soundtrack are accessed through Square Enix Digital Content Viewer rather than as ordinary physical items. The viewer requires an internet connection, so the bonuses are not entirely offline collectibles. The three named game items are digital entitlements, not separate physical accessories.

The documented contents emphasize physical presentation. Digital Deluxe’s digital art book, digital soundtrack access and three in-game items are not listed as part of the standard Physical Deluxe package. If those digital items matter to you, choose a digital Deluxe package or verify the exact regional listing rather than assuming the two Deluxe editions are identical.
Digital Twin Pack
The Digital Twin Pack contains two complete games: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and the full-game download of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE. It is aimed at people who have not played the first game and want the remake project’s available entries in one digital purchase.
The Twin Pack is not simply a bundle of Digital Standard and Digital Deluxe. The documented Digital Twin Pack contents do not include the Digital Deluxe art book, soundtrack or bonus items.
Digital Deluxe Twin Pack
The Digital Deluxe Twin Pack combines the two-game package with every documented Digital Deluxe extra. You receive:

This is the most complete digital entry route when you need both games and want the digital bonuses. It does not provide a disc, SteelBook, printed art book or soundtrack CD.
Collector’s Edition
The Collector’s Edition is a Square Enix Store exclusive soft bundle built around the Physical Deluxe Edition. It includes the Physical Deluxe contents plus a detachable-wing Sephiroth statue approximately 48 cm (19 inches) tall.
It also includes these digital in-game items:
- Moogle Trio Summoning Materia.
- Magic Pot Summoning Materia.
- Reclaimant Choker.
- Orchid Bracelet.
Square Enix describes the package as a soft bundle: the Deluxe contents and statue are packed as separate items in one shipment, rather than being permanently assembled into one object. The statue’s nearly half-metre height is significant for shelving and storage, so measure your display space before buying.

Do you need to play Remake before Rebirth?
No. PlayStation describes the remake project as three standalone games and says Rebirth can be enjoyed as a first entry. You can therefore buy Digital Standard, Physical Standard, Digital Deluxe or Physical Deluxe without owning Remake.
Playing Remake first is still useful for understanding the returning characters, the altered timeline and the project’s terminology. If you want that context and do not already own the first game, a Twin Pack is the practical choice. The Digital Deluxe Twin Pack is the version to select when you also want Rebirth’s digital extras.
Do Remake save files, levels or abilities carry into Rebirth?
No. Remake levels and abilities do not transfer to Rebirth. Eligible PlayStation 5 save data can grant special summon bonuses, but it does not import your character progression, equipment or completed build. A Twin Pack is therefore a story-and-value bundle, not a way to continue a character at the same level.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsDigital versus physical Deluxe: what is the real difference?
| Feature | Digital Deluxe | Physical Deluxe |
|---|---|---|
| Game format | Digital PlayStation 5 game | Physical game package |
| Art book | Digital art book viewed through Square Enix Digital Content Viewer | Physical art book |
| Soundtrack | Digital mini soundtrack viewed through Square Enix Digital Content Viewer | Mini soundtrack CD |
| SteelBook case | Not listed | Included |
| Magic Pot, Reclaimant Choker and Orchid Bracelet | Included | Not listed in the standard Physical Deluxe contents |
Choose based on how you will use the extras. Digital Deluxe is better for immediate access to downloadable material and the listed game items. Physical Deluxe is better for a shelf display, printed reference material, a CD and the SteelBook design.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.

Which edition is best for different buyers?
Buy only the game
Choose Digital Standard if you download everything, do not want bonus items and have no need for Remake. Choose Physical Standard instead if you want a disc and boxed copy.
Start the remake project from the beginning
Choose Digital Twin Pack if you need Remake Intergrade and want the simplest two-game digital purchase. Choose Digital Deluxe Twin Pack if the digital art book, soundtrack and three bonus items are worth the additional cost in your region.
Collect physical memorabilia
Choose Physical Deluxe for the SteelBook, printed art book and mini soundtrack CD. It provides the main physical upgrades without the size and price commitment of the statue bundle.
Build a premium display
Choose Collector’s Edition only when the approximately 48 cm / 19 in Sephiroth statue is the central reason to buy. It includes the Physical Deluxe package, but its value depends heavily on your interest in the statue, available space and the current asking price.
Important buying checks before you order
- Confirm the platform: Rebirth launched on PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. Check that the listing is for the PS5 edition you can use.
- Check the game count: Only the Twin Packs include Remake Intergrade; the other listed editions contain Rebirth alone.
- Check physical versus digital extras: A physical art book and CD belong to Physical Deluxe, while the digital art book, soundtrack and named in-game items belong to Digital Deluxe.
- Check code requirements: Collector’s Edition item codes need internet access and a PlayStation Network account.
- Check regional terms: Storefronts, stock, language support, code redemption rules and prices can differ by country.
- Check the package dimensions: The Collector’s Edition statue is approximately 48 cm / 19 in tall and needs suitable display and storage space.
Why the remake project’s scale matters
Rebirth is the second installment in a planned three-game remake project, but it is designed as a standalone game. That structure explains why a new player can begin with Rebirth while also explaining why the Twin Pack appeals to newcomers who want the preceding story.
For context, Square Enix reported seven million shipments and digital sales for FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE in 2023. That figure concerns the first game, not Rebirth edition sales or current inventory, so it should not be used to predict whether a particular Rebirth package is in stock.
Quick Recap
Bottom-line decision
- Buy Digital Standard for Rebirth alone with no extras.
- Buy Physical Standard for the disc without premium contents.
- Buy Digital Deluxe for digital reference material and the three listed in-game items.
- Buy Physical Deluxe for the SteelBook, physical art book and soundtrack CD.
- Buy Digital Twin Pack when you need Remake Intergrade but do not need Deluxe extras.
- Buy Digital Deluxe Twin Pack when you need both games and want the digital Deluxe contents.
- Buy Collector’s Edition only for the statue-focused premium package.
