Standard is the free way to hold a Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, Gold adds dyeable clothing, a shared mount presentation, guest minions and more décor for $20 total, and Platinum adds a second dyeable outfit plus the broadest ceremony customization for $40 total. Every tier includes the core ring, hairstyles, emote, cake, and invitations for up to 80 players. If partners use different tiers, the less lavish wristlet controls the ceremony.

Gold is the practical middle ground: it changes what guests see and hear without doubling the number of outfit sets. Platinum is primarily an attire-and-production upgrade, not a larger ceremony, because its guest limit and core rewards match the other plans.
What all three plans include
The ceremony’s shared foundation does not depend on the tier. Each plan grants an Eternity Ring, a set of hairstyles, the Embrace emote and an Eternity Cake furnishing. Each also supports invitations for up to 80 players, so paying for a higher tier does not increase attendance.

Eternity Ring
The ring is the central keepsake associated with the ceremony. Since it is included at every level, choosing Standard does not remove the principal bond item.
Hairstyles and Embrace
The hairstyles and Embrace emote are likewise part of the common reward package. They are not Gold- or Platinum-only bonuses, so a couple interested mainly in these items receives them without a plan fee.
Eternity Cake and invitations
The Eternity Cake is a furnishing reward. Invitations can be extended to as many as 80 players under any tier; the higher plans do not unlock a larger guest list.
Standard Plan: the complete ceremony without a plan fee
Standard is described by the official page as the standard Ceremony of Eternal Bonding experience. It is the right choice when the couple wants the ceremony, its shared rewards and the full guest capacity but does not need cosmetic or staging options.
What the ceremony looks like
Standard uses the Garments of Innocence, which cannot be dyed. The processional and recessional are on foot, with a predetermined presentation rather than selectable vehicle scenes. Venue treatment is limited to natural lighting, a white carpet, florals and plain drapery. Music follows the predetermined selection.

Who should choose it
- Couples who want to spend nothing on the plan itself.
- Players for whom the ring, emote, hairstyles, cake and guest invitations matter more than color matching.
- Events where a simple, fixed presentation is preferable to configuring staging options.
Gold Plan: the main customization upgrade
Gold costs $20 total, or $10 per person, on the cited official comparison. The page characterizes it as adding dyeable attire and a mount that partners can ride together, while retaining everything in Standard.
Attire and presentation
Gold replaces the undyeable Garments of Innocence with dyeable Garments of Passion. That allows the couple to coordinate colors with each other, their characters’ existing looks or the venue palette. Gold also adds one gondola processional option and a chocobo recessional, replacing the entirely on-foot presentation used by Standard.

Gold opens natural or romantic lighting and lets the couple select white, pink or orange décor choices. The plan also provides 12 music tracks instead of the predetermined Standard selection. Guests receive the Demon Box and Bridesmoogle minions as the included gifts.
When the extra fee is justified
Gold is the strongest value when the couple wants visible differences during the event: dyed outfits, a shared ride, selectable lighting, a colored décor scheme, music choice and guest keepsakes. None of those changes raises the attendance limit, and Gold does not add a second attire set.
Platinum Plan: two dyeable attire sets and the widest staging range
Platinum costs $40 total, or $20 per person, on the same official comparison. It includes all Standard and Gold benefits, then adds a second dyeable attire set and more presentation choices.

Two distinct outfit sets
Platinum includes Garments of Passion plus Garments of Devotion. Both are dyeable, but the sets have different dyeable areas, so they do not produce identical color layouts. This gives the couple a genuine outfit change in style and palette rather than merely another color option for the Gold garment.

Platinum offers three gondola processional options, compared with Gold’s single option, while retaining the chocobo recessional. Lighting can be natural or romantic. Its décor palette adds blue and red to Gold’s white, pink and orange choices, giving the broadest set of ceremony color treatments in the comparison.
Who benefits from Platinum
Choose Platinum when the second attire design, its different dyeable zones and the additional gondola scenes are central to the event. If the couple will use only one outfit and does not care about the extra processional variants or expanded color palette, Gold supplies the relevant features at the lower tier.
How the ceremony options differ in practice
The package differences are concentrated in moments guests can see and hear. Use this breakdown when planning the event rather than treating the tiers as simple cosmetic labels.
Processional and recessional
Standard keeps both movements on foot and fixes the presentation. Gold introduces a gondola processional and a chocobo recessional. Platinum keeps the chocobo recessional and expands the gondola processional to three selectable variants. The upgrade therefore affects the entrance most directly; the recessional choice is shared by Gold and Platinum.

Lighting and colors
Natural lighting is available at every level through Standard’s fixed treatment. Gold and Platinum add romantic lighting. Gold’s listed color choices are white, pink and orange; Platinum adds blue and red. These are venue presentation choices, separate from dyeing the character’s garments.
Music
Standard uses a predetermined selection. Gold and Platinum each provide 12 music tracks. The two paid tiers therefore offer the same music breadth; Platinum’s audio offering is not larger than Gold’s.
Guest gifts
Gold and Platinum include the Demon Box and Bridesmoogle minions. Standard includes no equivalent guest gifts. The minions are additions for attendees and do not replace the shared rewards delivered to the partners.

They can equip different-tier wristlets, but the ceremony does not combine the most expensive features from each purchase. The official preparation guidance says that when the wristlets differ at acceptance, the less lavish plan takes precedence: Standard overrides Gold and Platinum, and Gold overrides Platinum.

- Standard plus Gold produces a Standard ceremony.
- Standard plus Platinum produces a Standard ceremony.
- Gold plus Platinum produces a Gold ceremony.
- Only matching Gold wristlets guarantee Gold features, and only matching Platinum wristlets guarantee Platinum features.
This rule matters at the acceptance point, not merely when the plans are ordered. Coordinate the tier each partner will equip before accepting the ceremony so a lower wristlet does not silently reduce the available options.

How to choose and purchase the right package
- Set the priorities. Decide whether the event needs only the shared rewards, the dyeable Gold outfit and production upgrades, or Platinum’s second outfit and expanded staging.
- Budget for both partners. The official figures are quoted as a combined total with a per-person amount. Confirm the price and currency shown for your account region because store availability and prices can change.
- Purchase through the official store. Plans for the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding are sold through the Final Fantasy XIV Online Store. They are digital entitlements, not physical wedding products; a physical marketplace listing is not a substitute for the in-game plan.
- Coordinate the wristlets. Before the acceptance step, make sure both partners are using the tier intended for the ceremony. If the tiers differ, plan for the lower tier’s rules.
- Design the event within the tier. Select the available attire colors, lighting, carpet or décor palette, music and processional presentation. Platinum’s additional choices are available only when the ceremony resolves to Platinum.
- Plan invitations. All three tiers support up to 80 players, so decide the guest list independently of the package decision.
Eligibility, region and timing checks
Ceremony eligibility is tied to the partners’ Home World. Verify that condition for both characters before arranging a date or buying a plan. The official pages used for the comparison are North American English pages, so a player in another region should treat the displayed dollar amounts as a reference rather than a guaranteed local price.
Store inventory and prices are changeable. Check the live listing for the account’s region at the time of purchase, and keep the tier decision synchronized between partners. A mismatch can matter even when both purchases were intentional, because the lower wristlet governs the accepted ceremony.
Decision guide by couple type
“We want the ceremony and nothing elaborate.”
Standard meets that brief. It preserves the shared rewards and 80-player capacity while using the fixed attire, presentation, lighting and music.

Gold is the usual fit. Its dyeable Garments of Passion, gondola entrance, chocobo exit, selectable lighting, three-color décor range and 12-track library create the visible upgrades most guests will notice.
“The outfits are the centerpiece, and we want several staging looks.”
Platinum is aimed at that use. The second dyeable set has different dyeable areas, and the three gondola processional choices plus the five-color décor range provide the broadest production control.
“One partner wants Platinum, but the other prefers to save money.”
Do not assume the purchases will combine. The ceremony resolves to the less lavish equipped wristlet, so decide whether both partners can accept Gold or Standard features before paying for different tiers.
Bottom line
Choose Standard for the complete, no-fee ceremony and shared rewards. Choose Gold when dyeable clothing, the shared mount presentation, guest minions, music and meaningful décor choices are worth the listed upgrade. Choose Platinum only when the second dyeable attire set and maximum processional and color customization matter enough to justify the additional fee over Gold. Match the partners’ wristlets, verify Home World eligibility and confirm the regional store listing before acceptance.
