What FF Nova is built to do
Compact biped with a detachable cart
Nova combines a small humanoid body with a detachable mini cart weighing about 2.12 kg. The robot can walk on two legs at up to 0.1 meters per second, while the cart is rated for speeds up to 0.8 meters per second. Faraday Future says Nova can autonomously dock with its charger, allowing it to return for recharging without a manual connection.

On-board computing and sensing
The platform has 10 TOPS of computing capability, 8 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Its sensor package includes 2D LiDAR, an approximately 4-megapixel wide-angle camera, 3D time-of-flight depth sensing and a three-microphone ring array. The microphone system supports sound-source localization and voiceprint recognition.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Developer software and robotics workflows
Faraday Future positions Nova as an open development platform rather than a finished household assistant. The published stack includes Python and Spine SDKs, ROS 2 integration, on-device inference, over-the-air updates and Isaac Gym Sim2Real workflows. That combination is intended to let developers train or test behaviors in simulation and move them to the physical robot, while the advertised Skills Store is designed to support additional capabilities.
Runtime and included hardware
Nova is rated for two to three hours of continuous operation and about two hours of charging. The package includes the mini cart, a 14V 3.2A power adapter, a P5 Bluetooth game controller, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth BLE 5.4, a USB-C debug port and a DC charging port. The stated runtime will vary with movement, sensing and computation load; Faraday Future does not provide an independent endurance test in the launch material.

What Nova Mini adds for education
Lower weight and beginner-oriented interaction
Nova Mini uses an aluminum-alloy frame and weighs 0.94 kg, making it substantially easier to move between desks or activity areas than a research-oriented robot. Its demonstrations include walking, turning, recovering from a fall, maintaining dynamic balance and performing a forward roll.
The control model is intended for first-time learners. Users can issue more than 40 built-in voice commands, create behaviors with visual block coding, physically pose the robot and record those poses for playback, or use the integrated AI coding tutor. These options give students a path from direct manipulation to code-based control without requiring prior programming experience.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Classroom and home use
Faraday Future targets Nova Mini at children and teenagers from age eight, as well as K–12 classrooms, after-school programs and home learning. The company says adult accompaniment is appropriate for children using Nova, so schools and families should plan supervision, safe floor space and handling rules for moving joints and rolling demonstrations.
The optional Spark curriculum
The Physical AI Spark Program is separate from the robot and is described as 16 live Zoom sessions for groups of six to 10 beginners. No coding experience is required. Because the curriculum is a separate $499 purchase, buyers should confirm whether they need only the hardware or the guided instruction package.

Availability and buying options
Nova is not immediately an unrestricted consumer purchase. Phase One is invitation-only for developers and educational institutions and is capped at 100 units; Faraday Future says the first 20 are immediately deliverable. The company describes later phases for all developers and educational institutions before a consumer launch, but the launch announcement does not establish dates for those transitions.
Faraday Future names FF.com, FF Mall and its official Amazon store as sales channels. The Nova product page also presents an Amazon add-to-cart option. Inventory, eligibility and delivery timing can change, so prospective buyers should verify the live listing and whether an invitation is required before placing an order. Nova Mini is presented as the entry-level education model, while the launch materials do not give it the same invitation cap described for Nova.

Which robot fits your use case?
Choose Nova for robotics development
Nova is the relevant choice when the goal is ROS 2 integration, simulation-to-real experimentation, custom perception or control, on-device inference and research-oriented autonomy. Its cart, LiDAR, depth sensing and developer interfaces also make it more suitable for projects that need navigation or richer sensor data than a beginner classroom robot provides.
Choose Nova Mini for introductory learning
Nova Mini is aimed at accessible physical-AI instruction: voice interaction, block programming, pose teaching and guided lessons. Its lower price, light frame and structured curriculum make it a better fit for a classroom or family introducing robotics than for a team building advanced autonomy software.
Quick Recap
Important limitations to consider
- Published prices and specifications come from Faraday Future; no independent reliability, delivery or comparative performance study is supplied with the launch information.
