A Shenzhen seller reportedly listed a non-functional replica RTX 4090 board on the Chinese marketplace Goofish for 350 RMB—about $52, according to VideoCardz. The board was described as a parts or display item, not a working graphics card. The report does not establish that the listing is still available.
What the reported $52 listing offered
VideoCardz reported that the Goofish listing used the seller label “NVIDIA GTX4090-24G” for a motherboard carrying a replica 24GB GPU package. That is the listing’s wording, not an authentic NVIDIA model name or evidence that the board contains a genuine, functioning RTX 4090 GPU. The reported price was 350 RMB, approximately $52 at the time cited; the conversion is not a fixed or current exchange rate. VideoCardz’s October 11, 2026 report is the source for these listing details.

According to that account, the board had DisplayPort and HDMI connectors but no cooling system and was described as non-functional. The seller reportedly presented it for uses such as spare parts, repairs, board swaps, display, or inventory filler, and did not accept returns or exchanges. Those terms and details are reported claims; the marketplace post was not independently checked.
VideoCardz also reported 27 comments and 187 favorites at publication. Those counts are a time-specific snapshot, not current activity figures and not evidence of completed sales or buyer demand.

How it differs from a genuine RTX 4090
NVIDIA’s product page identifies the genuine GeForce RTX 4090 as an Ada Lovelace GPU with 24 GB of GDDR6X memory. That specification is useful context, but it does not authenticate the board described in the marketplace report or show that its components work. NVIDIA’s RTX 4090 specifications describe the real product, not the reported replica.
| Item | Genuine GeForce RTX 4090 | Reported Goofish board |
|---|---|---|
| Stated function | Retail graphics card; NVIDIA specifies the product but does not make a claim about this marketplace item. | Reportedly described by the seller as non-functional. |
| Hardware and cooling | NVIDIA’s product page specifies the GPU and memory; the reported listing is not a complete-card specification. | Motherboard with no cooling system, according to VideoCardz. |
| Authenticity evidence | NVIDIA identifies its product as an Ada Lovelace GPU with 24 GB GDDR6X. | The seller’s “NVIDIA GTX4090-24G” label and replica package do not establish genuine NVIDIA hardware. |
| Purchase terms | Not stated for the product generally; terms depend on the seller. | No returns or exchanges were reportedly accepted. |
Because the reported board was described as non-functional, there are no supported performance comparisons or benchmarks to report.
What the reported counterfeit clues can—and cannot—show
VideoCardz attributed visual observations to VIK-on: the replica package reportedly had bluish compound around the die and a lighter, nearly yellow substrate, compared with gray compound on genuine RTX 4090 processors. The report also said the counterfeit memory packages had markings resembling Micron’s.

These details are observations, not a validated identification checklist. VideoCardz noted that the differences are difficult to recognize without a genuine comparison chip. Appearance alone therefore cannot serve as a conclusive home test, and the report provides no independent laboratory analysis or verified procedure for authenticating or repairing the board.

The report offers no basis to recommend buying the board, treating it as a repair kit, or expecting to turn it into a working graphics card. It was advertised as non-functional, had no cooling system, and reportedly came with no returns or exchanges. VideoCardz did not report a tested repair method or verification process.
The underlying Goofish listing and VIK-on’s original post were not independently inspected for this account. Treat the price, seller description, terms, activity counts, and component observations as claims reported by VideoCardz—not as a current offer or independently confirmed inspection.
