There is no evidence-based fastest or strongest F-Zero GX golden car yet. The five machines—Thunderstorm, El Dorado, Chrono Symphony, Bahamut, and Gladiator—are custom builds assembled from gold parts. A Video Games Chronicle report dated October 12, 2026 describes newly reported four-player F-Zero Shop inputs for unlocking those parts, but it publishes no Body, Boost, Grip, weight, acceleration, or top-speed figures for the finished machines.
You can still compare them rigorously. Read each build’s in-game ratings, note its weight and Machine Settings position, then test acceleration, boost behavior, grip, and collision survival on the same courses. That produces a useful choice for your driving style without confusing reported unlock information with measured performance.
What the five F-Zero GX golden cars are
“Golden cars” is a practical nickname for five rare custom-machine builds in F-Zero GX. They are not five ordinary machines with a gold paint option. The reported unlock process gives you gold parts, which are combined into the matching custom builds:

| Bahamut | Named as one of the five gold-part builds in the report. | No published build-specific performance measurements. |
| Gladiator | Named as one of the five gold-part builds in the report. | No published build-specific performance measurements. |
The distinction matters because standard machines from F-Zero GX, other F-Zero games, and fan-made vehicle guides can have documented ratings that do not belong to these golden builds. A name, appearance, or familiar machine archetype is not a substitute for the values shown by your own game.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
How the reported gold-part unlock works
The October 12, 2026 Video Games Chronicle report says the five builds were historically associated with Japan-based promotions or F-Zero AX-linked distribution routes. It also reports a newly found method that starts in the F-Zero Shop and requires four players or controllers to enter an input sequence simultaneously.
The report is a secondary account, and the inputs were not independently tested for this guide. Treat them as reported discovery information rather than a hardware-confirmed guarantee. The report says successful inputs unlock gold parts; the parts are then combined to make the corresponding golden car.
Reported input sequences
| Build | Reported simultaneous input |
|---|---|
| Thunderstorm | X, Z, Y, Z, X, Z, Y, X |
| El Dorado | X, Right, X, Z, Y, Left, Left, Z |
| Chrono Symphony | Left, Right, Z, Right, Left, X, Right, Z |
| Bahamut | Y, Y, Z, Right, Left, Z, X, Y |
| Gladiator | Right, Z, X, Left, Left, Right, Z, X |
Use the spelling Thunderstorm when matching the report’s list; older fan references may style some names differently. Because the method depends on simultaneous input, ordinary single-player button entry is not equivalent to the reported procedure.

- A copy of F-Zero GX running on compatible Nintendo GameCube hardware or a compatible setup that preserves the game’s controller behavior.
- Access to the F-Zero Shop and four compatible GameCube controllers, because the reported method assigns simultaneous actions to four players or controllers.
- A way to record which input belongs to which controller. The published sequences list button and direction symbols, but the report does not provide a controller-by-controller timing diagram.
- Enough time to repeat the attempt carefully. A failed entry should not be interpreted as proof that a code is invalid, since timing, controller assignment, game version, and regional differences are not documented in the report.
Why a definitive “best stats” ranking is not available
The available sources do not provide a stat table for Thunderstorm, El Dorado, Chrono Symphony, Bahamut, or Gladiator. In particular, there are no source-backed numbers for Body, Boost, Grip, weight, acceleration, top speed, drift behavior, or energy consumption. That makes claims such as “Bahamut is fastest” or “Gladiator has the best handling” unsupported.
The official instruction material explains what the game’s ratings mean, while the recent report supplies names and unlock inputs. A GameFAQs vehicle guide by Dubble_G contains author-tested ratings for standard machines, but those tests are guide-authored observations and do not fill the golden-build data gap. Do not transfer those values to a gold build simply because a standard machine looks similar.
Consequently, the honest answer to “which golden car has the best stats?” is unresolved. You can establish a best choice for a particular course after recording the values displayed by your copy and running controlled tests. Until those measurements exist, the useful comparison is conditional: match each build’s observed strengths to the track and your driving habits.

- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
How F-Zero GX ratings affect performance
The instruction booklet rates Body, Boost, and Grip from A (best) through E (worst). These letters describe distinct behaviors, not a single overall power score.
Body: collision durability
A stronger Body rating means the machine loses less durability in collisions. This is valuable in crowded races, on tracks with narrow lanes, and when your route involves unavoidable contact. Body does not tell you how quickly a machine accelerates or how sharply it turns, so it should be evaluated separately from handling.
Boost: the size of the speed increase
A stronger Boost rating makes the speed increase from using the booster more dramatic. Boost performance must be considered alongside the shared energy meter: a powerful boost is useful only when you can preserve enough energy to deploy it at the right points. Record both the speed change you observe and how your normal route supplies energy.
Grip: holding curves and curved surfaces
A stronger Grip rating helps the machine hold curves and curved surfaces. It matters most on technical courses with continuous bends, banked sections, tunnels, and transitions where a small slide can become a wall hit or a fall. Grip is not identical to turning speed; a light machine may turn quickly while still requiring careful throttle and steering control.
Machine Settings: acceleration versus maximum speed
The Machine Settings slider lets you trade acceleration against maximum speed. The booklet recommends more acceleration for technical tracks with many turns because the machine starts moving sooner and drifting is easier. More maximum speed suits long straightaways where the machine has room to reach its top end.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →The tradeoff affects more than launch time. Increasing acceleration costs some maximum speed, Boost, and Grip. Increasing maximum speed costs quick starts and drifting ease. Record the slider position when comparing golden cars; otherwise, two tests may be measuring different setups rather than different builds.

Weight: the underlying handling tradeoff
Weight changes several behaviors at once. Lighter machines accelerate and grip better, turn quickly, and take more impact damage. Heavier machines accelerate and grip less well, turn slowly, and take less impact damage. If your garage displays a build’s weight, include it in your notes instead of treating the three letter grades as a complete performance description.
A fair comparison method for all five builds
Use the same settings, pilot, course, and test procedure for each machine. The following record keeps observable facts separate from interpretation.
| Comparison axis | Record | Decision it supports |
|---|---|---|
| Body and durability | Displayed Body grade and how many collisions the machine survives in a controlled run. | Whether it suits crowded races or contact-heavy sections. |
| Boost | Displayed Boost grade, speed change after activation, and energy consumed or retained on the same route. | Whether boost-dependent driving is practical for you. |
| Grip and control | Displayed Grip grade, line stability, drift recovery, and behavior on curved surfaces. | Whether it is predictable on technical courses. |
| Acceleration versus maximum speed | Machine Settings position, launch time, recovery after a mistake, and terminal speed on a straight. | Which setup fits turn-heavy or straight-line tracks. |
| Weight | Garage weight, if the game displays it, plus turning and collision observations. | How to interpret acceleration, grip, turning, and impact resistance together. |
| Best use | Course type and driving style that match the recorded behavior. | A conditional recommendation rather than a universal ranking. |
Step 1: capture the garage data
- Open the machine or parts view where the completed golden build is shown.
- Write down Body, Boost, and Grip exactly as displayed.
- Record weight if the interface provides it, along with the Machine Settings slider position.
- Take a screenshot or make a written record before changing the slider or swapping parts. This prevents a later test from being attributed to the wrong configuration.
Step 2: test acceleration and top speed
- Choose a straight section with a repeatable start and no traffic if possible.
- Use the same Machine Settings position for every build in the first pass.
- Measure the time to reach a fixed marker after launch, then record the highest stable speed before the next turn.
- Repeat each run at least three times and use the typical result rather than a single unusually clean or poor launch.
Step 3: test cornering and drift recovery
- Select a technical section containing the same type of curve for every machine.
- Enter at a consistent speed, follow the same line, and note steering corrections, wall contacts, and how quickly the machine settles after a drift.
- Repeat with the acceleration-heavy setting if your first pass used a speed-heavy setting. The slider tradeoff can change the result substantially.
Step 4: test boost and durability
- Use a route with a known boost opportunity and a fixed amount of energy available.
- Activate the booster at the same marker and compare the resulting speed change and recovery after the boost ends.
- For Body, perform the same controlled contact—without turning the test into a race—and record whether the machine remains competitive or loses too much durability.
Label your notes as in-game displayed value, manual-described effect, reported unlock detail, or hands-on observation. That vocabulary prevents an observation from being mistaken for an official specification.
Best-use guidance for each golden car
Without published golden-build measurements, the names cannot be assigned a factual fastest-to-slowest order. You can nevertheless create a useful profile for each one by applying the same decision rule: choose the build whose observed ratings and test behavior solve the problem your course presents.
Thunderstorm
Start by checking its displayed Body, Boost, and Grip grades and documenting the slider position. If your run shows stable cornering and quick recovery after turns, use an acceleration-oriented setting on technical tracks. If the build reaches a strong terminal speed without excessive drift, move the comparison toward long straightaways. Do not infer either trait from the name or gold appearance.
El Dorado
Use El Dorado as a candidate for the role its measured data supports. A higher observed Body grade and good collision survival would make it a sensible choice for crowded racing lines; a lower Body result would favor clean, low-contact routes. Test the same corner and straight section used for the other four builds before making that call.

Chrono Symphony
Chrono Symphony is best evaluated for predictability. Record how much steering correction it needs on repeated curves, how quickly it recovers from a slide, and whether the acceleration setting improves your exit speed. Those observations tell you more about its practical value than an assumed reputation based on an older reference.
Bahamut
For Bahamut, separate launch performance from top-end performance. A machine that reaches speed quickly can be excellent on stop-and-turn sections even if another build eventually goes faster on a straight. Conversely, a speed-oriented setup may reward clean lines on courses with long uninterrupted runs. Use identical markers so the distinction is visible.
Gladiator
Evaluate Gladiator’s durability and control together. A heavier build may tolerate contact while turning more slowly; a lighter build may feel agile but punish mistakes. The booklet’s weight guidance explains that tradeoff, but only your garage display and controlled runs can show where this particular build sits.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Choosing a golden car by course type
Technical, turn-heavy courses
Begin with an acceleration-heavy Machine Settings position. Prioritize Grip, quick launch, drift recovery, and the ability to hold curved surfaces. A slightly lower top speed is often an acceptable exchange when the course repeatedly forces you to brake, turn, or recover from a mistake.
Courses dominated by long straights
Test a maximum-speed-oriented position and compare stable terminal speed over the longest straight. Keep enough control to survive the following corner; a theoretical top speed is not useful if the machine arrives too fast to turn or loses time to wall impacts.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteCrowded races and contact-heavy sections
Give Body and collision survival more weight in your decision. A durable build can preserve a race after incidental impacts, while a fragile light build may require a cleaner line. Still record acceleration and Grip, because surviving contact does not compensate for repeatedly losing speed in every corner.

Boost-dependent strategies
Compare the displayed Boost grade with actual speed gain on a fixed energy budget. A boost that looks impressive in isolation may not fit a route that leaves little energy for later sections. The best choice is the build that converts your available energy into repeatable race time, not necessarily the one with the highest letter grade.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
- Borrowing standard-machine numbers: ratings from a fan guide or another F-Zero title are not golden-build specifications. Attribute guide-authored tests correctly and keep them separate from the five gold machines.
- Calling a code confirmed after one failed attempt: the reported method has no documented timing diagram, regional matrix, or independent hardware test here. Recheck controller assignment and simultaneous entry before drawing a conclusion.
- Comparing different slider positions: acceleration and maximum speed are deliberately traded against one another, with effects on Boost and Grip. Lock the setting for a fair first pass.
- Treating a letter grade as an overall score: Body, Boost, and Grip measure different behaviors. A machine can be durable without being agile, or quick in a straight line without holding a technical course well.
- Ignoring weight: lighter and heavier machines exchange acceleration, grip, turning speed, and impact resistance. Include weight when the garage exposes it.
- Declaring a universal winner: a course-specific recommendation is defensible; a five-way ranking is not supported without build-specific measurements.
How the golden builds fit into F-Zero GX
Nintendo’s product description presents F-Zero GX as a game with 30 craft and adjustable speed/acceleration balance. The golden cars belong to that broader customization system rather than replacing the ordinary roster. Their importance is rarity and the special gold-part route, not a published claim that they outperform every standard craft.
The shop, custom parts, and Machine Settings make the game unusually sensitive to configuration. Two players can prefer different builds because one values clean acceleration through linked corners while another is willing to trade handling for maximum speed on a straight. That is why recording the actual configuration is essential when sharing results.

What can be stated confidently
The five reported golden builds are Thunderstorm, El Dorado, Chrono Symphony, Bahamut, and Gladiator. The October 12, 2026 report lists simultaneous four-player F-Zero Shop inputs for unlocking their gold parts and says those parts form the corresponding cars. The instruction booklet defines the Body, Boost, Grip, Machine Settings, and weight tradeoffs that determine how to assess them.
What remains open is the comparative performance question. No reviewed source supplies verified golden-build statistics, so the responsible recommendation is to measure the values shown in your own game and match them to the course you intend to race. That method gives you a useful answer without presenting an unverified “best golden car” as fact.
