The EZVIZ H7c Dual 2K+ is an indoor Wi-Fi camera with two distinct views: a fixed wide-angle lens keeps watching one area while a motorized pan-and-tilt lens can turn toward another. That arrangement can show a broad scene and a closer view at the same time, but it does not remove the practical trade-offs of app usability, constant power, storage choices, or privacy.
Does the EZVIZ H7c Dual have two cameras?
Yes. The H7c Dual (model CS-H7c-R100-8G44WF) contains a fixed lens and a motorized pan-and-tilt lens. EZVIZ describes them as able to work independently or together, with the app displaying wide-angle and close-up views simultaneously. You can tap an area in the wide view to bring up a closer view.
The key distinction is that the wide view does not have to follow the moving lens. If the motorized lens turns toward a doorway, for example, the fixed lens can continue covering a crib or room entrance. This is more useful than a single pan-and-tilt camera when two areas need ongoing coverage, though the two lenses still share one camera unit and its network connection. EZVIZ’s product listing describes simultaneous views and coordinated tracking.

EZVIZ lists each lens as 2K+ and gives a maximum resolution of 2560 × 1440. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. Frame rate is described as adaptive to network transmission, so the listed resolution alone does not establish what every live or recorded stream will look like under a particular connection.

For comparison shopping, check whether another camera keeps a fixed view active while its second lens moves. A single pan-and-tilt lens may cover a room by scanning or tracking, but it cannot keep looking in one direction while facing another.
Can the H7c Dual record two views at once?
EZVIZ says the app can show the wide-angle and close-up views at once, and the product is designed for simultaneous wide and close-up monitoring. The available specifications do not establish detailed recording behavior for every configuration, such as whether all recording modes save both views continuously or how clips are presented. If simultaneous recording is essential, confirm the current regional manual and app behavior before relying on it.

The camera supports motion, human-shape, and loud-noise detection, along with patrol mode, two-way audio, color night vision, and sleep mode. EZVIZ also describes coordinated tracking. Feature labels indicate what the manufacturer offers; they do not guarantee detection accuracy in every room, lighting condition, or network environment.
Setup, connections, and power
The H7c supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, plus one self-adaptive 10/100 Ethernet port. EZVIZ says the Wi-Fi band is selected during setup and cannot be changed later, so choose the network carefully. Wired Ethernet is an alternative if the camera’s location and cable run make that practical.

Power is specified as DC 5V/2A through a Type-C connection. This is a plug-in indoor camera, not a battery-powered option; plan for a nearby power source and a cable route that keeps it secure and out of the way. CNET France’s exact-model review
In a review published January 8, 2025, CNET France reported good image and sound, responsive operation, and useful monitoring of two places at once. The reviewer said the AI functions appeared to work well in their use. The same review criticized laborious settings, an app it considered in need of improvement, and a touch call button it found insufficiently responsive. The camera supports microSD cards up to 512 GB. EZVIZ says the card is sold separately, so check the package for your region rather than assuming one is included. CloudPlay is also offered, but availability depends on the market. The sources cited here do not establish a current subscription price, retention period, or detailed account and data-retention policy; check the service terms in your country before choosing cloud storage.

Local card storage avoids making a cloud subscription a prerequisite for recording, but it does not by itself answer how footage is protected, accessed, or retained. Consider whether you want local access, off-site storage, or both, and verify the recording options available in your app and region.
Privacy and security considerations
EZVIZ says the camera uses TLS for transmission and AES-128 data encryption, and it lists a sleep mode intended for privacy. Those are manufacturer statements, not an independent security audit. Separately, Testberichte.de’s summary of the Stiftung Warentest test reports a weaker assessment for data protection. Taken together, these sources do not establish that the camera is comprehensively secure or insecure.
Before placing an indoor camera, decide when monitoring should be active, who can access the account, and whether local or cloud recording fits your household. Sleep mode is a listed privacy control, but review the current app settings and regional privacy terms to understand what it disables and what account or service data may remain.

- Consider it if you want one stationary wide view and a separate steerable close-up view, and can provide continuous power.
- Compare alternatives carefully if you need a particularly simple app or dependable touch-call controls; CNET France reported friction in both settings usability and the call button.
- Check your priorities first if privacy assessments, cloud retention details, or subscription costs are decisive, because the cited sources do not provide a complete account of those terms.
- Confirm before buying if a specific recording workflow matters: the product listing describes simultaneous views, but the available material does not detail every recording mode.
When comparing indoor cameras, look beyond the “dual” label. Check that the second view remains active while the other lens moves, then compare lens angles, detection and tracking features, night performance, app and notification controls, local-storage capacity, cloud dependence, connectivity, and the quality of independent privacy evidence.
