What 180 degrees does not mean
A 180-degree field of view is not the same as a camera that can physically rotate through 360 degrees. The CB30’s reported specification describes the scene visible across the two lenses; it does not establish pan-and-tilt movement or the ability to turn and follow a subject behind the camera. Positioning still matters: mount it where the area you want to watch falls inside that fixed combined view.
Night vision, lights and active defence
Three built-in spotlights provide full-colour night vision rather than relying only on infrared illumination. Colour can make people, vehicles and other objects easier to distinguish after dark, although the useful range will depend on mounting height, weather and ambient light.

The same lights can participate in an active-defence mode. When the camera detects a trigger, it can flash the spotlights and sound a warning siren. This creates a visible and audible deterrent, but it may also disturb neighbours or household members. Check local rules and configure detection zones and schedules so the alarm is not activated by routine activity.

Person and vehicle detection

EZVIZ Always-On Video (AOV)

The practical choice is therefore coverage style. Choose the CB30 if a fixed 180-degree scene meets your needs and keeping the purchase price down is important. The SoloCam S340 is the more suitable design if pan-and-tilt movement and 360-degree coverage are worth paying substantially more for. Neither comparison establishes which camera has better long-term reliability, app performance or image quality in real installations.
