There is no substantiated benchmark winner between Samsung’s Exynos 2400 and Google’s Tensor G6 in the official sources available for this comparison. Samsung publishes detailed Exynos 2400 specifications; Google confirms Tensor G6 in the Pixel 11 and makes performance claims about its own chip. Those claims use different baselines and measures, so they do not establish which processor is faster overall.
What the published specifications show
| Area | Samsung Exynos 2400 | Google Tensor G6 |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Samsung lists a deca-core design with Cortex-X4, Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 cores. Samsung detailed specifications | Google identifies Tensor G6 as the Pixel 11 processor, but the official Google pages reviewed do not give a full CPU core or clock-speed specification. Google Pixel 11 specifications |
| GPU and graphics | Xclipse 940, which Samsung associates with AMD RDNA 3 and hardware-accelerated ray tracing. This confirms supported graphics capabilities, not a measured gaming lead. Samsung mobile ray tracing overview | The reviewed official Google pages do not provide directly comparable GPU architecture details. |
| AI | Samsung describes an AI engine and reports improvement against Exynos 2200, its stated comparison baseline. Samsung Exynos 2400 product page | Google emphasizes on-device AI and reports a TPU improvement against its own stated baseline. Google Pixel performance |
| Process, memory and storage | Samsung identifies a third-generation 4 nm low-power process, LPDDR5X memory support and UFS 4.0 storage. Samsung detailed specifications | The reviewed official Google materials do not confirm a process node or comparable memory and storage specifications for Tensor G6. |
| Display, imaging and connectivity | Samsung lists platform capabilities including display, camera, video and modem specifications. Maximum supported features are not a guarantee that every phone using the chip implements them. Samsung detailed specifications | Google’s reviewed pages identify the chip in the Pixel 11, but are not a matching SoC data sheet for these platform specifications. Google Pixel 11 specifications |
The gap in published detail matters: a missing Tensor G6 specification is unknown here, not evidence that the chip lacks a capability. Samsung also cautions that Exynos specifications and performance can vary with system configuration and use conditions, so platform maximums should not be read as guaranteed phone results.
Do the manufacturers’ performance figures prove which chip is faster?
No. Google’s Pixel performance page says Tensor G6 has a “50% more powerful TPU” and that its upgraded CPU delivers “up to 25% faster browsing and up to 20% better power efficiency.” These are Google-reported claims, published in the Pixel 11 context; they are not results from a Tensor G6-versus-Exynos 2400 test. Samsung, meanwhile, states that Exynos 2400 delivers 14.7-fold improved AI performance over Exynos 2200. That figure uses Exynos 2200 as its baseline, not Tensor G6. Samsung Exynos 2400 product page

Because the figures describe different measures and comparisons, they cannot be ranked against one another to declare a CPU, AI or efficiency winner. “Up to” figures also describe a claimed maximum, not a promise for every workload or phone.
Which chip is better for gaming, AI and everyday use?
Gaming and graphics
Exynos 2400 has the more clearly documented graphics feature set in these sources: Samsung specifies its Xclipse 940 GPU, AMD RDNA 3 association and hardware ray tracing. That is a useful capability distinction, but without matched game tests it does not show that an Exynos 2400 phone will deliver higher frame rates or better sustained performance than a Tensor G6 phone.

On-device AI
Both manufacturers position their chips around AI, but their public claims do not use a shared task or benchmark. Samsung’s stated comparison is against Exynos 2200; Google describes Tensor G6’s TPU and Pixel AI capabilities. A meaningful comparison would need the same on-device model and task, with latency and output quality measured under the same conditions.

Google’s browsing and power-efficiency percentages are vendor claims, not a direct comparison with Exynos 2400. In practice, browser responsiveness and battery life depend on the complete phone—including software, screen, radio, cooling and workload—not just its processor.

Why there is no defensible head-to-head benchmark verdict
The official sources cited here do not provide an equivalent benchmark suite run on representative retail phones using a common protocol. Without that, a score from one device or one vendor’s stated improvement cannot answer which processor is faster overall.
A sound comparison would identify the retail phone model, software build and benchmark version, then separate single-core CPU, multi-core CPU, GPU and sustained-load results. For sustained performance, test duration and thermal behavior matter. AI results need to identify the model and task; battery or efficiency comparisons need matched phones and conditions such as brightness, network and workload. Until comparable results are available, treat the benchmark winner as undetermined.
