The Samsung Exynos 1330 is the stronger processor on paper: its two Cortex-A78 performance cores, Mali-G68 graphics and integrated 5G give it a clear specification advantage over the entry-level, 4G MediaTek Helio G37. Available benchmark figures do not establish a reliable universal score gap, however, so treat the performance verdict as an architecture-based comparison—not a precise multiplier.
Specifications at a glance
| Specification | MediaTek Helio G37 | Samsung Exynos 1330 | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPU | Eight Cortex-A53 cores: four up to 2.3 GHz and four up to 1.8 GHz, according to independent listings | Two Cortex-A78 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, according to Samsung | The Exynos has newer performance cores suited to demanding CPU work. |
| Manufacturing process | 12 nm, reported by MediaTek | 5 nm EUV, specified by Samsung | The Exynos uses a finer reported process; that alone does not guarantee longer battery life, which also depends on the phone and workload. |
| GPU | PowerVR GE8320 | Mali-G68; listed as MP2 by an independent comparison database | The names indicate different graphics platforms, but do not substitute for equivalent real-game tests. |
| Cellular | 4G | Integrated sub-6 GHz 5G | The Exynos supports a newer network generation, subject to the handset’s bands, carrier and coverage. |
| Camera and video | Comparable primary-source details not stated in the cited sources | Samsung specifies support for image sensors up to 108 MP and 4K video recording up to 30 fps | These are platform capabilities, not a guarantee of a phone’s camera quality or feature set. |
Which chip is faster?
The Exynos 1330 is the likely winner for general responsiveness, demanding CPU tasks and heavier multitasking. Its two Cortex-A78 cores are newer, higher-performance cores than the Cortex-A53 cores used across both Helio G37 clusters. The Exynos also pairs those cores with six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.
This is a comparison of processor designs, not a guarantee about every phone. Memory, storage, software, cooling and power settings can affect how a handset performs, particularly under sustained loads.

NanoReview’s live Helio G37 page displayed device-submitted results, accessed October 7, 2026: 198 single-core and 868 multi-core in Geekbench 6, and 215,798 in AnTuTu 11. These are aggregated submissions rather than results from a controlled test against a particular Exynos 1330 phone. Devices, cooling, memory, software and benchmark versions can all affect scores. The available comparison sources do not provide a fair, paired score set for both processors. That means they cannot support a definitive percentage lead or a universal benchmark ratio. Comparing figures from different devices, sources or benchmark versions as if they came from one test would be misleading.
Which is better for gaming?
The Exynos 1330 has the stronger graphics specification on paper, with Mali-G68 graphics versus the Helio G37’s PowerVR GE8320. That supports choosing the Exynos for a better chance at handling graphics-heavy games, but the GPU names alone cannot predict frame rates or sustained performance.
A fair gaming comparison would require the same games, settings and test conditions on specific phones. Cooling, display resolution and a handset’s power limits also matter. The available evidence does not establish equivalent real-game results, so neither a precise performance gap nor a dependable frame-rate estimate is warranted.
How 5G and other platform features differ
The Exynos 1330 includes an integrated sub-6 GHz 5G modem. Samsung lists maximum speeds of up to 2.55 Gbps down and 1.28 Gbps up; these are manufacturer-stated peaks, not expected everyday speeds. Actual connectivity depends on the phone’s supported bands, network, coverage and conditions. Details are on Samsung’s Exynos 1330 product page.

The Helio G37 is a 4G platform. MediaTek identified the Motorola Moto G22 as the first Helio G37 handset and also lists the Infinix Hot 30i in its Helio catalog. Those examples identify phones using the chip; they do not establish that every regional version has identical specifications. MediaTek’s announcement of the Moto G22 describes the Helio G37 as a 12 nm octa-core processor running up to 2.3 GHz with PowerVR GE8320 graphics: MediaTek’s April 8, 2022 announcement.
Samsung also specifies Exynos 1330 support for image sensors up to 108 MP and 4K recording at up to 30 frames per second. These are processor-level capabilities, not promises that a particular phone will include a 108 MP camera or 4K recording; handset makers choose and configure the camera hardware and software.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which one should you choose?
- Choose a phone with Exynos 1330 if you prioritize stronger CPU architecture, more capable graphics on paper, or 5G support.
- Consider a phone with Helio G37 for basic everyday tasks if the specific handset suits your budget and needs; keep expectations modest for demanding games and sustained workloads.
- Compare the phones, not only the chips before buying. Memory and storage, display, battery, thermal design, software support, price and regional model can change the overall experience.
This processor comparison does not identify a specific Exynos 1330 handset or establish which individual phone is the better buy. Samsung’s product page describes the chip’s capabilities but does not, in the information cited here, establish a handset model.
