The Everdure DWF146SC is a discontinued, freestanding dishwasher listed for 14 place settings. Published specifications give a useful picture of its size, connections and claimed energy and water use, but the accessible model listing does not reveal its washing, drying, noise or reliability results. That means the specifications alone are not enough to establish whether it is a good performer—or whether a used example is a good buy.
What the DWF146SC specifications establish
CHOICE lists the DWF146SC as a freestanding dishwasher with a painted silver finish and capacity for 14 place settings. Its rounded external dimensions are 85 × 60 × 60 cm (height × width × depth). The listing says it can connect to a hot or cold tap, with a maximum hot-water inlet temperature of 60°C and inlet pressure of 40–1000 kPa.
The manual for the closely identified DWF146SC1 family gives more precise dimensions: 845 mm high, 598 mm wide and 605 mm deep with the door closed, and also lists 14 place settings. Those measurements broadly align with CHOICE’s rounded figures. The manual covers DWF146SC1, DWF146PC1 and DWF146WC1; because its model number includes a suffix not shown in the review title, check the rating plate and the manual for the exact unit rather than assuming every suffix-specific detail is identical.
Energy and water figures: listed claims, not a performance test
CHOICE’s accessible listing, viewed in 2026, shows 3 energy stars and claimed energy use of 329 kWh per year, alongside 4 water stars and claimed water use of 13.7 L. CHOICE identifies the normal program as the energy program. These are figures shown in the listing, not fresh independent measurements reported here.

The Australian Government’s Dishwashers guidance explains that an energy label includes a star rating, estimated annual consumption and program time; its annual-consumption estimate assumes seven uses a week. The government recommends comparing dishwashers of similar capacity and checking physical size and water connections. An annual label estimate is a comparison basis, not a prediction of an individual household’s bill: use patterns and conditions matter.
Does it clean and dry well?
The accessible CHOICE entry does not show the DWF146SC’s washing or drying scores, noise level, program time, reliability result or customer-satisfaction rating; those details are marked member-only. No model-specific result for those measures can therefore be established from the visible listing. The fact that an expert testing organization has a page for the model is not, by itself, evidence of a particular score or outcome.

ProductReview.com.au lists five reviews across the broader DWF146 family, which includes different suffixes. Among them, one DWF146SC owner reported poor cleaning and residue, while another described satisfactory use; other accounts refer to PS or WC variants. These are individual reports from a small, mixed-model sample, not controlled tests. They do not support a general claim that the DWF146SC is either defective or dependable.

CHOICE lists the DWF146SC as discontinued. The A$549 shown on its page is a historical listing price, not a current offer or evidence of present availability. The accessible information does not establish whether new stock, replacement parts or service support are available today.

If considering a used machine, verify its exact model suffix, condition, installation requirements and whether local service or compatible parts can be obtained. A listing price or a model-family manual cannot confirm that a particular unit is complete, working or economical to repair.
What to check before choosing one—or a replacement
- Capacity: Confirm that 14 place settings suit the household, and compare it with models of similar capacity.
- Fit: Measure the opening, account for installation clearance and check door movement. The manual’s 605 mm depth is with the door closed, not a measure of the clearance needed to open it.
- Connections: Check the site’s water connection and pressure against the appliance requirements, and confirm whether the installation can accommodate the permitted inlet temperature.
- Comparable labels: Compare energy stars, estimated kWh per year, water stars and water use on a like-for-like label basis. Annual energy estimates use the seven-times-weekly assumption described by the Australian Government.
- Evidence and support: For a replacement, look for published washing, drying and noise results, plus current warranty, service and parts information. These are not established by the accessible DWF146SC listing.
Manual and routine use
The DWF146SC1/PC1/WC1 family manual provides operation, installation and maintenance instructions. It says to place detergent in the dispenser for each wash cycle, load the baskets and check rinse aid. Confirm the exact appliance identification before applying suffix-specific instructions.
