The Eufy E21 is worth considering if you want a dedicated parent monitor plus optional phone viewing, and value its 4K camera, 8× zoom, and included charging base and cradle stand. Its main practical trade-off is that remote app viewing requires Wi-Fi setup, while Eufy’s headline battery and range figures are manufacturer claims rather than independently measured results. The E20 is the more modest alternative, with 2K video and 4× zoom.
What the Eufy E21 offers
The E21 combines a camera with a 5-inch parent display and the option to view live video through the Eufy Baby app. Eufy lists 4K resolution, 330° pan, 60° tilt, 8× zoom, autofocus, night vision, split-screen support, two-way audio, and cry, loud-sound, and temperature alerts. These are manufacturer-listed features, not independent findings about image quality or alert accuracy.
Eufy also advertises a Wi-Fi cut-off switch and encryption. That is the company’s description of the product’s privacy features, not an independent security audit. The monitor is a viewing and alert device; it should not be treated as medical monitoring or as a substitute for caregiver supervision.

Local viewing on the included monitor
Eufy’s user guide says the powered camera and parent monitor connect automatically for live video. This gives you a dedicated local viewing path without first setting up phone access in the app.

Remote viewing on a phone
To view live video in the Eufy Baby app, Eufy’s setup instructions call for installing the app, creating an account, pairing the device, and selecting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The available instructions do not establish that every app, recording, or alert feature continues to work when Wi-Fi is switched off. Treat the monitor connection and remote app access as distinct functions rather than assuming complete offline feature parity.
Battery, range, and recording claims
Eufy lists a 5,000mAh camera battery and claims up to 9 hours of wireless operation. That is a manufacturer-stated maximum; actual runtime can depend on operating conditions, and no independent battery test was established. Eufy also lists a 1,000-foot connection distance specifically for an open environment. It is not a typical indoor-range guarantee: walls, interference, home layout, and camera placement can affect a connection.

Eufy says the E21 supports local recording to a microSD card up to 128GB and 24/7 recording. The company also claims active noise reduction of up to 20 dB. Neither the noise-reduction figure nor the recording feature establishes that the monitor will detect every cry or sound. Check the current product documentation for recording setup and card compatibility before buying a card.

Eufy’s model comparison identifies the E21’s main upgrades as camera resolution and zoom. Eufy support also lists a charging base and cradle stand in the E21 package.

The E21’s higher resolution and zoom may matter if those specifications suit how you plan to position and use the camera. They do not by themselves prove a visible real-world image-quality advantage, and no independent head-to-head test was established. If the E20 is meaningfully cheaper at the time you shop, the E21’s upgrades are a value decision rather than an automatic reason to pay more.
Setup, placement, and what comes in the box
The user guide’s listed package contents are the monitor, camera, camera and monitor power cables, two 5V/2A adapters, a mounting plate, a screw pack, a cradle mount, and a charging-stand cable. The guide illustrates wall, table or shelf, and crib mounting options. Its in-box list names a cradle mount; it does not establish that a separate crib arm is included.

The guide also provides separate firmware update paths through the app and the monitor’s settings. It recommends keeping both camera and monitor firmware current, but the available information does not establish an update schedule or duration of software support.

Eufy’s US product page displayed $259.99 when checked on October 7, 2026. Eufy’s November 5, 2024 launch announcement gave an original US launch retail price of $249.99. These are dated US figures, not a promise of today’s price; check the live listing for current pricing and promotions.

- Choose the E21 if you want both a dedicated parent display and app-based remote viewing, and the 4K camera, 8× zoom, charging base, and cradle stand justify its price for your needs.
- Consider the E20 if 2K resolution and 4× zoom are sufficient and its current price makes it the better-value option.
- Look elsewhere or verify carefully if you need proven indoor range, independently measured runtime or alert accuracy, or a confirmed guarantee that all features work with Wi-Fi disabled. Those outcomes are not established by Eufy’s specifications and setup materials.
