Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School does not yet have an officially verified PS5 release date of November 5. The current official information supports a November 2026 release window on Steam, while Coin Crew Games says it moved the launch to November for additional polish. What is confirmed about the release
The Steam product listing gives Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School a November 2026 release window. It does not specify November 5. Coin Crew Games, writing in an August 21, 2026 Steam Community update, said the team moved the release to November to make a final polish push and improve the game’s chance of reaching more players.
That means “November 5 on PS5” should be treated as an unconfirmed report rather than a settled launch fact. The absence of a matching result in the targeted PlayStation search is not proof that no announcement exists; the definitive check remains an official PlayStation Store page or PlayStation Blog post.

What kind of game is Escape Academy 2?
The sequel expands the escape-room concept into an open-world campus adventure. According to the Steam listing, players explore a new school campus, solve handcrafted escape rooms and investigate a mystery surrounding the academy. The publisher describes an all-new campus and supports playing alone or cooperatively.
The campus is intended to function as more than a menu between puzzles. Xbox’s product description highlights passages, tunnels and traps that players can encounter while moving through the hub. Those details come from the Xbox listing and should not be read as a confirmed PS5 feature specification.

The Xbox product listing specifically describes solo play plus two-player online and local co-op. Until a PlayStation listing provides its own technical details, it is safest to treat the two-player wording and any platform-specific implementation as Xbox information rather than a guaranteed PS5 specification.

Xbox also advertises an optional No-Timer Mode. This could make exploration more accessible to players who prefer solving puzzles without a countdown, but the available evidence does not confirm that the setting will be identical on PS5. Why the date changed
Coin Crew Games’ August 21 announcement gives a straightforward reason for the delay: the team wanted time for a final quality push before launch. Its statement says the move to November is intended to deliver “as much polish and the best chance to reach as many players as possible.” The update establishes a month, not a day, and does not mention a PlayStation release schedule.
How to verify the PS5 launch date
- Open the official PlayStation Store and search for the complete title, Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School.
- Check that the listing identifies PS5, shows a release date and names the same game rather than the original Escape Academy.
- Look for a matching announcement on the official PlayStation Blog or an update from Coin Crew Games.
