Short answer: the official Steam, Epic and PlayStation descriptions for Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream do not document a cheat-code menu, button sequence or code list. The dependable way through its hardest moments is to read patrols and environmental cues, switch between the three playable characters, and combine cover, stealth and diversions. The guide below explains that logic and shows how to choose a trustworthy walkthrough when you need level-specific help.
What the game is actually asking you to do
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is a single-player, isometric, narrative-driven stealth game from River End Games, published by Nordcurrent Labs. Steam lists its release date as July 15, 2025. You play in the fictional city of Eriksholm as Hanna searches for her missing brother, Herman. The game is listed for Windows PC on Steam and Epic, and for PlayStation 5.
Its puzzles are not conventional inventory riddles with a universal answer key. Most obstacles are stealth situations: a guard controls a passage, a sightline exposes a crossing, or an environmental restriction prevents the character currently in front of you from reaching the next area. Progress comes from identifying what the scene is communicating, then selecting the character and action that changes those conditions.

That distinction matters when you search for “cheats.” A code that permanently disables detection, grants every item or skips a level has not been documented in the official material reviewed for this game. Treat pages promising a secret code as unverified unless they show a reproducible in-game menu or sequence. A puzzle walkthrough is a more accurate description of the help most players need.

The four ideas behind nearly every solution
1. Observe before you move
Official descriptions emphasize scouting the environment and watching guard behavior. Before crossing an open space, identify where a guard looks, how the patrol moves, and whether the route repeats. Notice doors, low cover, climbable or passable edges, objects that can create a distraction, and any area that appears deliberately visible. A few seconds of observation often tells you whether the scene expects patience, a diversion or a character switch.
Use the isometric camera to inspect the whole encounter rather than staring only at the destination marker. The nearest route is frequently the least safe. A longer path behind cover can be the intended one, while a tempting shortcut may leave you in a permanent sightline.
2. Switch to the character whose ability changes the problem
The story team consists of three playable characters with distinct abilities. The official Epic listing presents those abilities as the way to reach new areas, overcome obstacles and evade detection. Because the reviewed material does not publish a complete, level-by-level ability chart, do not assume that a particular named skill works everywhere or that one character is always the answer.
Instead, ask what the obstacle requires. If the problem is access, test the character who can interact with or reach that kind of space. If it is exposure, look for the character whose ability lets the group avoid, distract or move around the threat. Switch characters deliberately, watch the available interaction prompts, and then reassess the patrol. A failed attempt usually means the scene needs a different role, not that a hidden code is missing.

3. Treat cover and visibility as resources
Stealth is more than crouching and moving slowly. Cover breaks a guard’s view; timing determines whether the gap lasts long enough; and the camera angle can hide a second patrol. Move from one safe pocket to the next instead of crossing the entire area in one dash. If an object blocks vision in one direction but not another, approach from the protected side.
When detection begins, stop trying to force the route. Back into the last reliable cover, wait for the alert to settle if the game permits it, and observe the patrol again. Repeating the same sprint after an alarm usually confirms that the route, timing or character choice is wrong.
4. Use diversions to alter the patrol, not to replace stealth
The official descriptions specifically mention diversions. A distraction is useful when it creates a safe window or moves a guard away from a required interaction. It is not a guarantee that every guard will leave permanently. Check where the guard goes after the diversion, how long the opening lasts, and whether another guard inherits the sightline. The strongest solutions combine a diversion with cover and a short, timed crossing.
A repeatable method for a stuck puzzle
Use this sequence whenever you reach an encounter that appears impossible. It is a problem-solving framework rather than an unverified claim about a specific chapter.

- Freeze the situation. Stop at cover and let patrols complete a cycle. Mark the guards’ start and end points mentally, including any secondary guard who enters after the first moves.
- Identify the actual objective. Decide whether you need to reach a location, interact with an object, open a route, avoid an alarm, or regroup with another character. A visible door may be scenery while an apparently minor object is the required interaction.
- Read the environmental cue. Look for a blocked edge, a narrow passage, an exposed crossing, a distraction object or a route that only one character can plausibly use. The scene’s layout is usually telling you what kind of solution it expects.
- Cycle through the three abilities. Bring each character to the safe edge of the encounter and check what changes. Choose the ability that addresses the obstacle itself, not simply the character who is closest to the goal.
- Plan the order of actions. Decide who moves first, when the diversion happens, where the next cover is, and which interaction must be completed before the guard returns. If two characters must pass, treat the first movement as preparation for the second rather than improvising midway.
- Execute in short segments. Move between covers, pause to confirm the guard’s position, and use the next interaction only when the sightline is safe. Short attempts make it clear which step failed.
- Reset intelligently. If the alarm triggers or a route closes, return to the last stable position and change one variable: character, timing, approach direction or diversion target. Changing everything at once makes the cause of failure impossible to identify.
Common failure patterns and fixes
You are detected as soon as you leave cover
Check for a second sightline before blaming the timing. An upper walkway, doorway or off-screen patrol can cover the space that appears safe from the starting camera angle. Reposition the camera, wait through a full patrol cycle and choose the next piece of cover before moving. If the area remains exposed, switch to the character whose ability can avoid that crossing or create a safer opening.
The diversion works, but there is not enough time
Triggering the distraction too early wastes its window. Stand ready at the first cover, then activate it when the guard is in the position that produces the longest safe route. Also verify that the diversion has not merely redirected the guard toward the next section. A successful distraction can create a new danger if you do not watch the destination of the patrol.
An interaction prompt never appears
Move the character into the correct approach position and confirm that the scene is not waiting for another character. Some obstacles are ability-gated rather than proximity-gated. If the prompt still does not appear, leave the area, allow the patrol state to normalize and return from a different angle. Do not infer that a code is required from a missing prompt.

Isometric games make vertical and behind-cover routes easy to misread. Trace the perimeter for a side entrance, a protected lane or an interaction that changes the map. Then test each character’s ability at the boundary. The intended route may be less direct but safer, particularly in encounters that are designed around a sequence of cover positions.

You keep repeating the same failed attempt
Change one variable and record the result. For example, keep the route and switch only the character; keep the character and delay the diversion; or keep the timing and approach from the opposite side. This turns trial and error into a controlled check and reveals which part of your assumption is wrong.
How linear is the game?
In a July 14, 2025 review, PC Gamer characterized the encounters as largely linear and said players often need to discover the intended solution. That is a reviewer’s assessment, not an official rule, but it is useful guidance: if a scene offers several visually possible paths, one may be the designed sequence. Search for the environmental cue and ability interaction that make the route work instead of assuming that every apparent shortcut is supported.
Linearity does not mean you should follow a blind list of button presses. Patrol timing, your position and the order in which you test abilities still matter. A walkthrough is most useful when it explains why a route works, identifies the relevant character and describes the guard state, rather than merely showing a final position.

Prefer a guide that labels spoilers, states its platform, and gives text steps you can pause and verify. If a guide claims a universal cheat code, an invulnerability toggle or a level-skip command without showing an in-game source, treat that claim as unconfirmed.
What is and is not established about cheats
No official source reviewed documents a code-entry screen, cheat menu, button combination or command for Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream. Steam’s store listing and Community guide index, Epic’s listing and PlayStation’s listing describe the game and its mechanics but do not provide a verified code list.
