Verdict: The Endorfy Enduro L6 850 W (SKU EY7A017) is a modern 850 W ATX power supply with ATX 3.1 compliance, a native 600 W 12V-2×6 lead, 80 PLUS Gold and Cybenetics ETA Platinum certifications, and a seven-year warranty. Club386 measured 92.97% efficiency at roughly half load and 90.42% at full load. Its main compromises are permanently attached flat cables and a 120 mm fan that continues spinning at idle. It can be a sensible choice when those trade-offs fit your case and noise expectations, but whether it is a “fair price” depends on your country and the current listing: no current street price was established for this review.

What the Endorfy Enduro L6 850 W is

The Enduro L6 850 W is an internal ATX desktop power supply designed for gaming PCs and high-performance workstations. Its continuous rating is 850 W, and the exact model reviewed here is SKU EY7A017. The unit measures 87 × 150 × 140 mm (height × width × depth), so it follows the common ATX power-supply footprint rather than a shortened SFX or SFX-L format.

ENDORFY positions the L6 family as a three-model range of 650 W, 750 W and 850 W units. The 850 W version is the highest-capacity model and uses a single +12 V rail rated at 70 A. The +5 V and +3.3 V rails are each rated at 20 A. Those figures describe the supply’s electrical capacity; they do not remove the need to size the PSU against your processor, graphics card, drives, fans and any transient power demand.

The platform follows ATX 3.1 and supports PCIe 5.1 graphics cards through a native 12V-2×6 cable. That is preferable to relying on an adapter when a graphics card accepts the newer connector, but the connector alone does not prove that every graphics-card and system combination is appropriate. Check the exact GPU manufacturer guidance and the complete system’s estimated consumption before buying.

What is included in the fixed cable set

Every lead is permanently connected to the power supply. The manufacturer lists the following lengths and connectors:

Cable Quantity and length Purpose
24-pin ATX 1, 570 mm Motherboard main power
EPS 4+4-pin 2, 670 mm + 150 mm CPU power connectors at the motherboard’s top edge
12V-2×6 1, 600 mm, rated 600 W Native connection for compatible high-power graphics cards
PCIe 6+2-pin 3, 560 mm Graphics cards and other PCIe devices using conventional sockets
SATA power 5 connectors on 500–800 mm wiring 2.5-inch drives, 3.5-inch drives, hubs and controllers
Molex 1, 800 mm Legacy peripherals and accessories that still use four-pin power

The 600 mm 12V-2×6 lead gives a direct route to a compatible GPU without a separate adapter. The two EPS connectors provide useful reach for boards with one or two CPU power sockets, although your case layout determines whether the 670 mm primary lead is sufficient. Because the harness cannot be detached, unused SATA, Molex or PCIe plugs must be routed and tied inside the case rather than removed.

ATX 3.1 and the native 12V-2×6 connector

ATX 3.1 is the current platform standard identified for this model. In practical terms, the relevant feature for a modern gaming build is the native 12V-2×6 cable. ENDORFY rates that lead for 600 W and describes the supply as supporting PCIe 5.1 graphics cards.

A native lead avoids the extra junctions associated with multi-plug adapters and makes the intended high-power GPU connection clearer. It still has to be inserted fully and routed without an excessive bend immediately at the plug. Follow the graphics-card manufacturer’s installation instructions, keep the connector accessible while testing, and never force a connector that does not match the socket.

Do not interpret “ATX 3.1” or “600 W” as a universal system recommendation. A graphics card can have a specific PSU requirement, and a processor with aggressive boost settings, multiple drives or a large number of fans adds to the total. Confirm the card’s required connector type and the manufacturer’s recommended PSU capacity before selecting the 850 W unit.

Efficiency: certifications versus independent measurements

The manufacturer lists two separate efficiency credentials: 80 PLUS Gold and Cybenetics ETA Platinum. They are certifications, not noise ratings or guarantees that every sample will produce the same result in every electrical environment. The ETA Platinum label is a higher efficiency class than the Gold design target ENDORFY originally set for the platform.

ENDORFY described the result in a June 9, 2026 announcement: “The Enduro L6 design was developed with Gold-class standards in mind, but during rigorous testing the platform achieved such high energy efficiency that, in addition to the 80 PLUS® Gold certificate, it also received Cybenetics ETA Platinum – a class higher than originally assumed at the start of the project.”

Test point Measured efficiency
Approximately 40 W 82.35%
Approximately 60 W 86.42%
Approximately 80 W 88.71%
About 85 W / 10% load 88.38%
About 212 W / 25% load 92.27%
About 425 W / 50% load 92.97%
About 637 W / 75% load 91.91%
850 W / 100% load 90.42%

The strongest result in that test was 92.97% at roughly 425 W, or half of the rated output. At the review’s full-load point, the unit still reached 90.42%. Efficiency naturally varies with load, so a desktop drawing 100 W while browsing will not reproduce the 50% load figure. The low-load values are particularly relevant if the PC spends most of its time idling or doing light office work.

How it compared in Club386’s test

Club386 placed the Enduro L6 850 W beside the be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 850 W. In the same review table, the comparison supply measured 93.39% at approximately 50% load and 92.34% at full load, versus 92.97% and 90.42% for the Endorfy. The review characterized the difference across the tested range as small, and those figures should be treated as test-specific rather than a universal ranking of either platform.

For your own buying decision, compare results taken at similar input voltage and load points. A supply that is a fraction more efficient in a laboratory table may not be the better fit if it costs more locally, has a different warranty, lacks the connector you need or uses a cable arrangement that does not suit your case.

Noise and cooling behavior

The Enduro L6 uses a 120 mm Stratus fan with a fluid-dynamic bearing. Club386 reports that the fan does not stop at idle because the unit has no semi-passive or fan-stop mode. It therefore continues to produce some airflow noise even when the computer is sitting at the desktop.

ASRock PRO 850G Power Supply - 850W 80 Plus Gold Certified, ATX 3.1 & PCIe 5.1 Ready, Native 12V-2x6 Connector, 120mm Low-Noise Fan, 3-Year Warranty
  • 80 PLUS Gold Certified: Delivers up to 90% energy efficiency under typical loads, reducing power consumption and heat generation
  • ATX 3.1 & PCIe 5.1 Ready: Fully compliant with the latest standards, ensuring compatibility with next-generation components
  • Native 12V-2x6 Connector: Features a dual-color design for safer and more reliable power delivery to modern graphics cards
  • Low-Noise Operation: Equipped with a quiet 120mm fan that provides effective cooling while maintaining minimal acoustic levels
  • Stable Power Delivery: Designed to handle high power spikes and ensure consistent performance with demanding hardware

That behavior is the clearest acoustic compromise in the review. A continuously rotating fan can still be quiet at low speed, but the available evidence here does not establish a measured decibel level. If your priority is a silent idle—particularly in a recording room, bedroom or quiet workstation—look for independent noise measurements and an explicitly documented fan-stop mode when comparing alternatives.

Conversely, a constant low-speed airflow can be useful for users who prefer continuous cooling over a fan that repeatedly starts and stops. The bearing specification indicates the type of fan bearing, but it should not be treated as a prediction of a particular noise level or lifetime in your case.

Protection features and electrical fit

ENDORFY lists over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), short-circuit protection (SCP), over-power protection (OPP), over-temperature protection (OTP), over-current protection (OCP) and surge/inrush protection (SIP). These are the expected protection categories for a contemporary desktop PSU. They are safeguards against specified fault conditions, not a substitute for correct installation, adequate ventilation or a suitable mains circuit.

The 70 A +12 V rating matters because modern processors and graphics cards draw most of their power from that rail. The 850 W continuous rating is the number to use when checking total system demand; do not add the rail amperage figures together as though they were separate extra capacity. Also leave sensible headroom for transient demand and future component changes rather than planning to operate permanently at the limit.

Fixed cabling: the practical trade-off

Advantages

  • There is no modular connector panel or detachable cable interface to add cost or another contact point.
  • The included 12V-2×6 lead is permanently available, so it cannot be misplaced as a separate modular cable.
  • Flat black ribbons can lie close to a case panel when routed carefully.

Disadvantages

  • Every cable remains attached, including leads you may never use.
  • Small cases can be harder to close because unused harnesses need a storage route.
  • Replacing a damaged modular lead is not an option; the entire PSU must be serviced or replaced.
  • Later upgrades may leave you with extra cable bundles in the same compartment.

Measure the case’s PSU shroud and cable-storage space before buying. A 140 mm body is standard in depth, but the attached harness extends the space you must reserve behind or beside the supply. A modular design can be easier to build in a compact enclosure; the Enduro L6 is better suited to builders who can hide spare cables without obstructing airflow.

Installation checklist

  1. Confirm compatibility. Verify that the case accepts an ATX supply and has room for the 150 × 140 mm footprint plus cable routing. Check the motherboard’s EPS sockets, the GPU’s connector requirements and the total system power estimate.
  2. Plan cable paths before fastening the PSU. Identify where the 24-pin, EPS, PCIe, SATA and Molex leads will travel. Because they are fixed, route the unused branches toward the case’s cable-management area rather than letting them cross fans.
  3. Mount the supply with the fan orientation recommended by the case. Ensure the intake is not pressed against a solid panel without ventilation. Use all supplied mounting screws that fit the case; do not open the PSU housing.
  4. Connect motherboard power. Seat the 24-pin ATX plug fully. Connect the required 4+4-pin EPS lead or leads at the top of the motherboard; the second EPS connector is available when the board calls for it.
  5. Connect the graphics card. Use the native 12V-2×6 lead for a compatible socket and push it completely home. If the card uses 6+2-pin PCIe plugs instead, use the listed PCIe leads and follow the card maker’s connector instructions.
  6. Connect storage and accessories. Attach SATA power to drives, hubs or controllers as needed. Use the single Molex lead only for devices that require it. Bundle unused connectors so they cannot contact a fan.
  7. Inspect before powering on. Check that every plug is fully seated, no cable is sharply pinched, the 12V-2×6 cable is not under side-panel pressure, and no loose connector can reach a rotating fan.
  8. Test the system. Start the PC, verify that the motherboard and GPU receive power, and watch for shutdowns, protection trips or unusual electrical noise. The fan continuing to spin at idle is expected for this model.

Warranty and the meaning of MTBF

ENDORFY lists an 84-month, or seven-year, warranty for the Enduro L6 850 W. Cybenetics’ evaluation listing also identifies a seven-year warranty for the exact model. Keep the purchase documentation and check the seller’s regional warranty process because service arrangements can differ by country.

The manufacturer also publishes an 80,000-hour MTBF figure. MTBF is a statistical reliability metric used for populations of equipment under defined conditions; it is not a promise that one PSU will run for 80,000 hours, nor does it extend the warranty. Use the seven-year warranty as the concrete consumer protection period.

Who should buy it?

A good fit for

  • A gaming or creator PC whose calculated demand fits within an 850 W continuous supply.
  • Systems using a current high-power GPU that accepts a native 12V-2×6 connection.
  • Builders who value the ATX 3.1 platform and strong mid-load efficiency.
  • Cases with enough room to hide permanently attached cables.
  • Users comfortable with a fan that remains active at idle.

Look elsewhere when

  • You require detachable cables for a compact case or an especially clean build.
  • Zero-fan idle operation is a firm requirement and measured acoustic behavior matters more than the 12V-2×6 feature.
  • Your local price is close to a better-tested modular alternative with a longer warranty or quieter operation.
  • You cannot verify that the exact EY7A017 listing, warranty and connector set match the specification above.

How to judge the price

The available evidence does not establish a current local street price, stock position or promotional price. Calling the Enduro L6 850 W a fair-value purchase therefore requires a country-specific check at the time you buy. Compare the exact EY7A017 model rather than assuming that every Enduro L6 listing has the same capacity or cable set.

Build a comparison around four questions: Is the delivered price competitive with other 850 W ATX 3.1 supplies? Does the alternative include a native 12V-2×6 lead? Is its cabling modular if your case needs that? Does it offer a fan-stop mode and independently measured noise that better match your priorities? A slightly higher price can be justified by quieter operation or easier installation; a lower price can be attractive if fixed cabling is acceptable and the warranty is honored in your region.

Pros and cons

Pros Cons
850 W continuous capacity Cables are permanently attached
ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 positioning No semi-passive fan-stop mode
Native 600 W 12V-2×6 cable No current universal price or value claim can be made without local market data
80 PLUS Gold and Cybenetics ETA Platinum labels Measured efficiency and acoustics vary with test conditions
Seven-year warranty Unused cables require careful routing in compact cases
Club386 measured 92.97% at about 50% load and 90.42% at full load Published MTBF should not be read as an individual-unit lifespan

Final assessment

The Endorfy Enduro L6 850 W offers the features that matter most for a current 850 W build: ATX 3.1 compliance, a native 12V-2×6 lead, substantial +12 V capacity, two efficiency certifications and a seven-year warranty. Club386’s measurements show its best efficiency near half load and 90.42% at the 850 W full-load point.

The decision turns on two tangible compromises. The harness is fixed, so installation and cable storage are less flexible than with a modular PSU. The fan also spins at idle, making it a weaker choice for a silent-PC brief. If your case has room for the attached cables and your local price is clearly competitive, the Enduro L6 850 W is a credible efficient PSU for a modern gaming or workstation system. If compactness or idle silence is more important, compare modular, fan-stop alternatives using independent measurements before committing.
