The Emilia EDW62SS is a discontinued, 60 cm freestanding dishwasher with 12 place settings, three programs and modest published energy and water-use figures. Those figures are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance-test results. CHOICE lists the model as discontinued, and its public review page does not reveal the Expert Rating or test scores, so there is no verified basis here for calling it a recommended performer.
What the Emilia EDW62SS offers
The EDW62SS is a stainless-steel, freestanding dishwasher designed for a 60 cm-wide space. Its stated capacity is 12 place settings. Emilia’s product sheet lists Normal, Rapid and Soak programs; the manual lists four wash temperatures: 40°C, 45°C, 50°C and 60°C. The temperature options are not a separate count of programs.
The manual also describes electronic controls and an audible end-of-cycle signal. Its internal layout includes a height-adjustable upper basket and fold-down plate racks, which allow some flexibility when loading dishes. A stainless-steel microfilter is described as self-cleaning.

Published energy, water, cycle-time and noise figures
The product sheet reports 329 kWh per year on the Normal program, 12 litres of water per normal wash, a 155-minute Normal cycle at 50°C and a noise level of 49 dBA. CHOICE lists the same claimed energy and water use, along with 2.5 energy stars and 4 water stars. These are published specification and label claims; they should not be read as independently reproduced test measurements.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
For context when comparing dishwashers, use figures measured or labelled on the same basis. A quoted annual energy estimate is not directly interchangeable with a single-cycle figure, and program duration, water use and noise do not by themselves establish cleaning or drying quality.
What the available review evidence does—and does not—show
CHOICE’s public page gives basic specifications and identifies the EDW62SS as discontinued, but its Expert Rating, washing and drying scores, energy-efficiency score, test year and recommendation are behind member access. No independent performance score or test verdict can be established from the publicly accessible information. That means the published specifications can describe the machine, but they cannot substantiate a claim that it cleans or dries well.

Appliances Online’s listing includes customer comments from 2017 and 2022, but comments are anecdotes rather than controlled durability evidence. The listing also has an inconsistent EDW63SS cross-reference in its heading, so its aggregate rating should not be treated as a clean satisfaction statistic for the EDW62SS.
Dimensions, fit and installation checks
Published dimensions differ slightly: CHOICE gives 85 × 60 × 58 cm, while Appliances Online lists 850 mm high, 600 mm wide and 600 mm deep, with a minimum height of 820 mm when the removable top is off. Because the depth figures do not match, confirm the actual unit’s dimensions and the required clearances with the seller before planning an installation.

Ownership and safety features
The manual instructs owners to use liquid rinse aid. It says the dispenser releases rinse aid during the final rinse to reduce spots and streaks and help water run off dishes. Follow the manual’s dispensing and care instructions; it does not endorse a particular rinse-aid or detergent brand.
The manual lists Aquastop split-hose protection, which is described as shutting off water if the hose splits. This is a specific hose-failure safeguard, not a guarantee against every leak, faulty connection or installation problem. Proper installation and inspection still matter.

Buying a discontinued EDW62SS
Because CHOICE lists the model as discontinued, treat any unit offered for sale as remaining stock or second-hand unless the seller clearly establishes otherwise. Do not assume that service, replacement parts or a manufacturer warranty will be available. A retailer page lists a two-year manufacturer warranty, but the applicable terms may depend on seller, purchase date and unit status.
- Ask for the unit’s age, condition and service history, and inspect it if buying second-hand.
- Get written confirmation of the warranty provider, coverage and start date for any remaining-stock purchase.
- Ask the seller or service provider whether servicing and needed parts can actually be obtained for that specific unit.
- Compare it with currently sold models on capacity, measured installation dimensions, energy and water use, noise, cycle choices, warranty and local service support.
Verdict
The EDW62SS is a straightforward 12-place freestanding dishwasher on paper, with three programs, adjustable loading features and published consumption figures. Its practical appeal depends on the individual unit, fit and support arrangements. The available public evidence does not establish an independent cleaning, drying or reliability verdict, and its discontinued status makes condition, warranty and parts checks essential before purchase.
