Take a photograph of the product label before assembling the mower. It gives you a reliable reference if a retailer listing, manual or spare-parts page uses a different suffix.
What comes in the Australian catalogue kit?
EGO’s 2024/2025 Australian catalogue identifies LM2112E-SP as a kit containing the mower, a 7.5 Ah battery and a rapid charger. That distinction matters because EGO also sells bare tools and because a battery is a substantial part of the value of a cordless mower. How Touch Drive self-propulsion works
EGO describes its Touch Drive system this way: "Touch Drive™ technology puts complete control of the self-propelled system in the palm of your hands by using pressure to engage the system." In practical terms, the operator applies pressure to the palm-control area to engage propulsion and uses a speed dial to set the walking pace.
This arrangement is different from a conventional fixed bail that is either pulled in or released. It can be useful when you need to slow for a tight corner, accelerate across an open stretch or match your pace to uneven ground. It also means the control position and pressure response should be checked before mowing a full lawn. Keep both hands and feet clear of the blade area, release the drive control before reaching toward the deck, and follow the exact interlock and starting sequence in the local manual.

EGO’s page presents the system as a convenience feature, not as evidence of a particular learning curve or fatigue reduction. No independent usability test was established, so buyers who dislike palm-pressure controls should try the control in a showroom or confirm the return policy.
Cutting system, height range and collection
52 cm deck and claimed torque
The catalogue and product page place LM2112E-SP in EGO’s 52 cm class. EGO quotes 8.1 Nm of cutting torque for the Touch Drive page. That number indicates the manufacturer’s stated blade-driving capability, but it does not predict a guaranteed cutting speed in every lawn. Wet, overgrown grass, a blunt blade and a low height setting can all increase load.

EGO specifies seven cutting-height settings spanning 25 to 90 mm. Use the higher end when grass is long, heat or drought has stressed the turf, or the lawn is being cut after a missed interval. Lower settings remove less leaf at each pass when the lawn is maintained regularly. Change the height with the mower switched off and the battery removed if the manual requires that procedure.
Bagging and mulching
The Touch Drive page lists both mulching and bagging. Bagging sends clippings into the supplied 70-litre catcher, reducing the need to rake after mowing. Mulching returns finely cut clippings to the turf, but it works best when the grass is dry and only a modest amount is removed. Confirm the mulch plug or insert is included in your regional package; documentation for the web-page label does not prove every market receives the same accessory set.
How long does the EGO 52 cm mower run?
EGO Australia claims up to 50 minutes from a 7.5 Ah 56V ARC Lithium battery. “Up to” is a maximum-condition statement, not a guaranteed mowing time or lawn-area rating. The manufacturer does not define a universal test protocol on the supplied material, and no independent runtime measurement was established.

Actual time depends on:
- grass height, density and moisture;
- the selected cutting height and whether the deck is allowed to bog down;
- self-propel speed and the slope or roughness of the ground;
- blade sharpness and deck cleanliness;
- ambient temperature and battery age; and
- how often the drive system is engaged while turning or repositioning.
For dependable coverage, plan around the lower result you observe in your own lawn rather than the headline maximum. A second compatible 56V battery can reduce downtime, but confirm the exact battery SKU and charger compatibility before purchase. Do not infer that a higher-capacity pack is automatically approved for this mower from the voltage alone.

The Australian catalogue lists a self-propelled speed range of 0.4–1.4 m/s for the LM2110E-SP. The retrieved catalogue does not clearly assign that figure to LM2112E-SP. It should not be quoted as the LM2112E-SP’s confirmed speed range until the exact model manual or a current specification sheet does so.
This distinction is important because EGO’s 52 cm family includes models with different drive and cutting systems. A retailer may copy a specification from a neighboring model, creating a plausible-looking but incorrect listing. If walking pace is a deciding factor, request the LM2112E-SP manual or written confirmation from EGO for your market.

Before ordering a replacement or spare:
- Read the model and serial information from the mower label.
- Match the blade part number in the local EGO parts catalogue or manual.
- Confirm whether the blade is for bagging, mulching or both.
- Use the specified fastener, torque and washer arrangement.
- Remove the battery and follow the manual’s blade-removal procedure; never rely on a neighboring model’s instructions.
Inspect the blade for bends, chips and excessive wear. A damaged or incorrectly balanced blade can cause vibration and poor collection, regardless of the motor’s rated torque.
Regional manuals and warranty
EGO Europe’s current self-propelled range lists LM2135E-SP as a 52 cm kit, while its manuals directory shows documentation for LM2130E-SP and LM2135E-SP. The retrieved European results do not show LM2112E-SP. That does not prove the mower is unavailable in Europe; it does mean a European manual for another 52 cm model should not be treated as the LM2112E-SP manual.
Use the exact manual supplied for your country for assembly, safety interlocks, charging, cleaning, storage and maintenance. If the dealer cannot provide it before purchase, ask EGO to confirm the correct document by model and serial number.
The Australian Touch Drive page cites a five-year tool warranty and a three-year battery warranty. Those periods are an Australian manufacturer statement, not a worldwide promise. Maintenance and troubleshooting
Uneven or ragged cut
Check the blade for dullness or damage, clean packed grass from beneath the deck with the battery removed, and verify that each wheel is on the same height setting. If vibration began after a blade change, stop using the mower and recheck the blade installation with the exact manual.

Shorter-than-expected runtime
Compare conditions with the manufacturer’s “up to 50 minutes” claim. Wet or tall grass, a low height setting, high drive speed, slopes and an aging battery can all reduce time. Clean the deck, sharpen or replace the blade with the approved part, and allow the battery to cool if the charger or mower indicates a temperature limit.
Drive feels too fast or too slow
Use the speed dial and check that the palm-pressure control is being engaged consistently. Do not use the 0.4–1.4 m/s LM2110E-SP figure as a troubleshooting target for LM2112E-SP. If the control behaves erratically, stop mowing and contact EGO or the authorized seller.
Poor collection
Confirm the catcher is seated, the discharge path is clear and the blade is the approved high-lift design for this model. Cutting damp grass or taking too much height in one pass can also reduce collection. Never modify the catcher or guard to increase airflow.
