EE will charge UK customers £5 per month for iPhone Handoff on a rolling contract, while the feature is included with the Full Works Plus plan. EE says Handoff is coming soon and requires two compatible iPhones running iOS 27 or later, both signed in to the same Apple Account.
The pricing announcement arrives ahead of EE’s iPhone Duo launch: pre-orders open on 16 October 2026, with handsets launching on 23 October 2026.
What EE iPhone Handoff does
iPhone Handoff is designed for customers who use two iPhone models but want to keep one mobile number. EE says calls, messages and notifications can move between the two phones, allowing the user to switch devices without changing numbers or maintaining separate mobile identities.

EE has not published a complete price table for its plans in the announcement, so the total monthly cost of Full Works Plus, or the combined cost of a handset, airtime and Handoff, must be checked against current EE pricing before ordering. The £5 figure applies to Handoff itself and is not a quoted price for an iPhone Duo handset or a complete tariff.

Meeting the software and account requirements does not by itself establish eligibility for every EE tariff. Customers should confirm compatibility and account eligibility with EE when the service becomes available.

- 23 October 2026: EE lists the iPhone Duo launch date.
- Handoff availability: EE describes the feature as “coming soon” but does not provide a specific release day.
This means a customer may be able to pre-order the handsets before Handoff has a confirmed activation date. The announcement does not promise that every pre-order will include immediate access to the feature.

Upgrade routes EE highlights
Early Phone Swap
EE points eligible Flex Pay customers toward Early Phone Swap as one way to move to a newer phone. Eligibility and any settlement, upgrade or account conditions are not detailed in the announcement, so customers need to check the terms attached to their own Flex Pay agreement.
EE Trade In
EE also identifies EE Trade In as an upgrade route. The announcement does not state a guaranteed trade-in value; offers depend on the device and the current programme terms. Obtain a written valuation before using it to calculate the effective cost of an iPhone Duo purchase.

EE network details mentioned with the launch
EE says its 5G+ service can deliver speeds up to 45% faster than standard 5G. It also says its 4G, 5G and 5G+ services cover more than 90% of the UK. These are EE’s published network claims; actual performance varies by location, compatible equipment, congestion and plan.

What the announcement does not confirm
- A precise date when Handoff activation begins beyond “coming soon”.
- A full EE plan-price table showing the total cost of Full Works Plus.
- Handset financing amounts, storage variants or monthly iPhone Duo prices.
- Amazon UK stock, seller, pricing or affiliate availability.
- Whether another network supports the same two-iPhone, one-number behaviour.
Those details should be treated as unconfirmed until EE or a current retailer publishes them. In particular, a retailer listing for the handset would not automatically prove that the EE Handoff service is available on that purchase route.

How to assess whether Handoff suits you
Choose the add-on when you already have an EE plan
The £5 rolling option is the clearest route for an existing EE customer who wants two compatible iPhones and does not want to change to Full Works Plus. Compare the recurring £5 charge with any plan change, handset finance and insurance costs before switching.
Consider Full Works Plus when you need its wider bundle
Full Works Plus includes Handoff, but the bundle only makes financial sense if its other inclusions match your needs. Do not treat “included” as free in isolation: the plan’s total monthly price and any device payments determine the overall cost.
Check the technical setup before ordering
Confirm that both intended iPhones can run iOS 27 or later and can use the same Apple Account. If one phone cannot meet either requirement, the two-device Handoff arrangement will not satisfy EE’s stated conditions.

Bottom line for UK buyers
EE’s announced price is straightforward: £5 a month on a rolling contract, or no separate Handoff charge when it is included in Full Works Plus. iPhone Duo pre-orders begin on 16 October 2026 and the launch is scheduled for 23 October, but EE has not yet supplied a precise Handoff release date or a complete plan-and-handset cost breakdown. Buyers should verify those points, compatibility and upgrade terms at checkout.
