The Edwards & Co Olive Second Seat Kit adds a lower seat to the Olive stroller for two-child use. It is a purpose-built conversion, not a universal second seat: double mode needs both upper and lower adapters, and the kit includes the lower pair. Edwards & Co rates the second seat for up to 22 kg and says it is suitable from six months, or from birth when used with its Newborn Insert Cushion. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test findings.
What the Second Seat Kit does
The kit is intended to turn the Olive into a double stroller by placing a second child in a lower seat. Edwards & Co describes it as suitable for twins or siblings of different ages. The seat is described by the manufacturer as full-size, with a reclining seat, extendable canopy and ventilation window. Its listed weight is 2.8 kg; the seat is 40.5 cm wide with a 50 cm back. These figures describe the kit seat, not the complete two-seat stroller.

Edwards & Co lists the Second Seat Kit, Carry Cot 2 or 3, and approved capsule configurations as ways to set up the Olive for two children. It says double mode requires upper and lower adapters. The Second Seat Kit supplies the lower adapters; the upper adapters and the particular carry cot or capsule hardware depend on the configuration.

The Olive product page recommends acquiring the Second Seat Kit because its lower adapters are needed when connecting a carry cot or capsule while the main seat is in use. Before buying or assembling, check the current manufacturer instructions for your exact combination and confirm the capsule adapter model. Do not assume that every carry cot, capsule, or seat from the brand fits every Olive configuration. Edwards & Co specifically says the Oscar seat has not been safety tested for Olive, so it should not be treated as an approved substitute.

Age, capacity and stroller dimensions
Edwards & Co states that the Second Seat Kit supports a child up to 22 kg. Its listing says the lower seat can be used from six months, or from newborn with the Newborn Insert Cushion. That newborn guidance is specific to use with the insert; check the current manual for the required setup and instructions.

The manufacturer lists the Olive at 22 kg capacity per seat and says it is certified to AS/NZS 2088:2022. It lists the stroller at 12.7 kg in single-seat use and 16.3 kg in two-seat use, with folded dimensions of 79 × 65 × 47 cm. Edwards & Co says the stroller maintains the same footprint in single or double mode. These are manufacturer-provided specifications, not independent measurements. What independent testing can establish
CHOICE has a review listing for the Olive with Second Seat Kit, but its surfaced public page does not show the expert rating, performance score, ease-of-use score, or safety and durability test outcomes. Those fields are members-only. The public listing therefore does not establish a passing result, a rating, or how the stroller compares with other doubles. It does show selected specifications, including a 22 kg maximum per child and a 10 kg basket capacity. View the CHOICE review listing and its publicly visible information.
The manufacturer product page displays five customer reviews, including comments about assembly and adding the kit to the Olive. These are individual testimonials hosted by the seller, not a representative survey or independent usability test; they cannot establish how most owners will find the setup.

The Australian Ruby Gloss listing says that colour is available exclusively at Baby Bunting.
