The Ecovacs GOAT O1000 is sold in two materially different versions: the $1,499.99 GOAT O1000 LiDAR PRO and the $999.99 GOAT O1000 RTK on Ecovacs’ US product pages (prices accessed in 2026). That is a $500 difference between models, not proof that either mower is currently discounted by more than $500. The live offer page must show the original price, sale price, dates and eligibility before you can claim the advertised savings.
What the GOAT O1000 does
Both O1000 models are autonomous robotic lawn mowers designed to map a yard, avoid obstacles and return to charge without a conventional perimeter-wire installation being the central part of the setup. They are intended to maintain grass through repeated cuts rather than remove an overgrown lawn in one pass. Ecovacs lists IPX6 protection for both versions, so the machines are designed to withstand strong water jets; that rating does not mean they should be submerged or pressure-washed at close range.
The manufacturer’s specifications are not independent test results. Actual coverage depends on lawn shape, grass growth, charging placement, satellite or sensor visibility and how the boundaries are configured.

Choose the LiDAR PRO when sensing and height control matter most
The LiDAR PRO combines two LiDAR sensors with Ecovacs’ AIVI 3D obstacle-avoidance system. Its page also lists TruEdge trimming, intended to bring the cut closer to lawn edges, and electric cutting-height adjustment across 3–8 cm. The longer stated mowing time—about 90 minutes per charge—may reduce charging interruptions on larger or more demanding lawns, although runtime is not the same as guaranteed area coverage.

Choose the RTK when the lower entry price and narrow routes fit your yard
The RTK model uses real-time kinematic positioning alongside a camera and 3D time-of-flight sensing. Ecovacs says it can handle passages about 2.3 feet wide and slopes up to 45 percent. Its listed continuous mowing time is about 65 minutes. The RTK page does not list electric cutting-height adjustment, so buyers who frequently change mowing height should confirm the mechanical adjustment method and available settings before ordering.
Can it handle slopes, paths, trees and pets?
Slopes
Both models carry a manufacturer-stated maximum of 45 percent, or 24 degrees for the LiDAR PRO specification. Treat that as a boundary condition, not a promise that every wet, uneven or loose slope is safe. Measure the steepest section of the actual mowing area, include transitions at the top and bottom, and keep charging equipment on a stable, accessible surface.

Narrow passages
The RTK specification explicitly cites passages of about 2.3 feet. No equivalent narrow-passage figure is stated in the supplied LiDAR PRO specifications. A path that is technically wide enough can still be unsuitable if roots, edging, gates or furniture reduce the clear width. Map the route with all obstacles in their normal positions.

Trees and fixed obstacles
LiDAR, camera and 3D ToF sensors are intended to detect objects, but they do not make a yard risk-free. Low branches, thin stakes, hoses, toys and temporary garden tools can be harder to detect or can move after mapping. Clear the lawn before each scheduled cycle and use the mower’s boundary or exclusion controls around ponds, drop-offs, garden beds and fragile landscaping.

Pets and people
Obstacle avoidance should not be treated as supervision. Keep children and pets away from the mower while it is operating, especially around paws, tails, toys and waste that may be struck or dragged. Follow the safety instructions in the current manual and pause mowing before entering the work area.
What “over $500 off” means—and what it does not prove
The documented prices are $1,499.99 for the LiDAR PRO and $999.99 for the RTK. The $500 gap is a model-to-model price difference. The available product-page information does not establish an original price, sale price, promotion period or eligibility rules for an “over $500 off” offer. Verify those details on the live checkout or promotion page, including whether the discount applies to one variant only, requires a code, excludes accessories or ends on a stated date. Do not calculate savings from the two model prices as though they were a before-and-after discount.

Replacement blades, trimmer parts and storage
Ecovacs lists O1000-compatible maintenance and storage accessories, including a garage, blade kits, trimmer kits, trimmer line and a trimmer brush. Confirm that an accessory is marked for your exact O1000 variant before buying; compatibility language can differ between a mower family and a specific kit. Keep spare blades and trimmer components dry, inspect them for wear, and disconnect power according to the manual before servicing. Replace cutting parts when the cut becomes ragged or the components are damaged rather than waiting for a failure during a scheduled cycle.
Is the GOAT O1000 worth it?
It is most defensible for owners who value automated mowing and have a yard within the stated slope and route limits. The LiDAR PRO costs $500 more on the documented US list prices but adds dual-LiDAR navigation, listed electric height adjustment, TruEdge and a longer stated mowing time. The RTK is the lower-cost choice and has the clearest published narrow-passage specification. Neither price alone establishes that the mower will suit a complex property, and the advertised “over $500 off” saving remains unverified until the promotion’s terms are visible.
