Short answer: Ecosa TrueFirm is an Australian, double-sided spring mattress that you flip between the company’s “Firm” and “Extra Firm” orientations. Ecosa lists pocket springs, natural Dunlop latex on both sides, polyurethane foam and a polyester/Tencel cover, plus a 25 cm height and 15-year limited warranty. Those are manufacturer specifications. No independent comfort score, test results or long-term owner data are published for TrueFirm, so this review can explain the design, buying terms to verify and care requirements—but it cannot honestly promise how TrueFirm will feel for a particular sleeper or how it will hold up over time.

What TrueFirm is designed to do
TrueFirm’s defining feature is reversibility. Instead of selecting one permanently fixed firmness at checkout, you can place the mattress one way for the advertised Firm feel or turn it over for the advertised Extra Firm feel. The two orientations are a product feature claimed by Ecosa; no independent measurement is published showing how large the difference feels in practice.
Ecosa also describes the mattress as using heavy-duty pocket springs. Pocket springs are individually encased coils, but Ecosa’s product information does not state the coil count, gauge, zoning pattern, foam density or the amount and thickness of latex. Without those specifications, it would be inappropriate to infer a particular level of bounce, edge reinforcement, motion isolation or service life.

Natural Dunlop latex is listed on both sides, with polyurethane foam also included in the build. The cover is identified as polyester/Tencel. These descriptions tell you what Ecosa says is inside the mattress; they are not test findings about pressure relief, temperature, odour, chemical emissions or resilience.

Ecosa’s page associates the spring system with targeted support and less partner disturbance. Treat that as the manufacturer’s design claim, not as a result measured by a neutral laboratory. The same distinction applies to any expectation about spinal alignment, pressure relief, cooling or edge stability.
How the Firm and Extra Firm sides work
- Choose an orientation. Put the side marked or described for Firm, or the side described for Extra Firm, facing upward. Follow any labels or setup directions that arrive with your mattress.
- Give the orientation a fair evaluation. Keep your pillow, base and bedding consistent while you assess the surface. Changing several variables at once makes it impossible to tell what caused a difference.
- Flip only when you can do so safely. A 25 cm spring mattress is bulky. Use two adults, clear the route and follow the handling instructions supplied with the product rather than dragging it by the cover.
- Record which side is up. A note on the bed frame or a photograph prevents confusion when you compare the two orientations.
The evidence does not show whether either side suits a specific body weight, sleeping position or medical need. “Firm” and “Extra Firm” are Ecosa’s labels, not standardized industry grades. If you need a precise firmness number or a clinically validated support result, Ecosa’s product information does not provide one.
Sizes, height and price in Australia
The Australian listing showed sizes ranging from Single through Super King and specified a 25 cm mattress height. At the time the page was checked in 2026, it displayed A$830 for Single and A$1,170 for Queen; prices for other sizes varied. These are snapshots of a live retail page, not permanent price promises.

Before payment, confirm whether the displayed amount includes delivery to your postcode, any regional surcharge, taxes, removal of an old mattress or a particular promotional condition. None of those terms can be inferred from the two recorded prices.
Warranty, trial and returns: verify the terms before buying
15-year limited warranty
Ecosa lists a 15-year limited warranty for TrueFirm. “Limited” matters: the duration alone does not tell you which defects qualify, how claims are assessed, whether coverage changes over time, or what exclusions apply. Read the current warranty document and keep your proof of purchase. The product page is the supplied source for the headline warranty duration, but the exact conditions should be checked at the time you order.
The “100 Night Trial” wording
The product page uses the phrase “How does the risk-free 100 Night Trial work?” That wording signals a trial-related customer question, but the product page does not state the complete eligibility, start date, return process, pickup responsibility, condition requirements or refund timing. Do not assume that “risk-free” means every delivery or return cost is covered. Ask Ecosa to confirm the current terms for your Australian address and mattress size before relying on the trial as an exit route.

- Is the trial currently available for the exact size and postcode you want?
- When does the trial clock start: order, delivery or another date?
- Must the mattress remain on an approved base or use a protector to qualify for a return?
- Who arranges and pays for collection if you return it?
- How are refunds calculated, and are promotional or membership prices treated differently?
- What evidence is required for a warranty claim, and are transport costs excluded?
Care and setup instructions Ecosa gives
Ecosa advises owners not to wash or dry-clean the mattress and not to wash or wet its fillings. The company recommends using a mattress protector or overlay. Follow those restrictions even if the outer fabric appears removable; Ecosa’s care instructions do not say that the cover can be machine-washed.

- Place the mattress on a suitable, adequately supported base before sleeping on it.
- Add a protector or overlay as Ecosa recommends. A protector is a practical way to reduce exposure to sweat and spills, but no specific protector has been tested for fit with TrueFirm.
- Keep liquids away from the mattress. If a spill occurs, follow Ecosa’s current care guidance rather than saturating the fillings.
- Do not put the mattress in a washing machine, dryer or dry-cleaning process.
- When rotating or flipping, lift with another adult and avoid pulling on the fabric cover.
Check the current care sheet supplied with your order for any additional base, ventilation or unpacking instructions. Ecosa’s listing states the washing restrictions and protector recommendation, not a complete maintenance schedule.
What independent evidence is available?
CHOICE has a page titled “Ecosa Truefirm review” and identifies the model as a spring mattress. CHOICE’s listing does not publish a score, test method, test date or detailed findings. It therefore cannot support a claim that CHOICE rated TrueFirm as comfortable, supportive, cool, quiet or durable.
No hands-on test or owner survey results are published for TrueFirm here. There is consequently no independent basis here for declaring how TrueFirm feels for side, back or stomach sleepers; whether it relieves pressure; whether partners feel each other moving; how strong its edges are; or how its materials perform after years of use. Those are precisely the claims that mattress reviews often overstate, so they should remain open questions until documented testing is available.

Reasons to put it on a shortlist
- You specifically want a mattress that can be flipped between two advertised firmness orientations.
- You prefer a spring-based construction with latex present on both sides rather than a single-sided all-foam design.
- The 25 cm height fits your existing frame, sheets and preferred bed height.
- You are comfortable verifying warranty, trial and return conditions before purchase instead of relying on a headline promise.
Reasons to pause and gather more evidence
- You need a verified firmness rating for a particular body weight or sleeping position.
- You require independently measured pressure relief, motion isolation, cooling or edge support.
- You need certainty about long-term sagging, durability or material emissions.
- You cannot safely flip a heavy mattress or lack help to handle it.
- You are buying only because of the 15-year number without reading the limited-warranty exclusions.
These are decision criteria, not predictions that TrueFirm will or will not work for you. Published information supports identifying the questions, not answering them with a fabricated performance verdict.

How to evaluate TrueFirm during a trial, if your order includes one
If Ecosa confirms that a current trial applies to your order, use the period systematically. The following checks can help you decide without confusing a short first impression with a tested product claim.
- Confirm the paperwork first. Save the order confirmation, trial end date, return instructions and any protector or base requirements.
- Test one orientation at a time. Spend several nights on Firm, then—if safe and permitted—flip to Extra Firm. Keep pillow height and bed base unchanged.
- Check morning comfort, not just the first ten minutes. Note whether you wake with new pressure or stiffness, but do not treat a personal observation as a clinical diagnosis.
- Check movement and noise with a partner. Observe your own experience rather than claiming a universal motion-isolation result.
- Inspect the perimeter and surface. Look for visible damage, unevenness or fabric problems and photograph anything that may matter for a return or warranty claim.
- Make the return decision before the deadline. A trial is useful only if you understand the collection process and act within the current terms.
If the mattress causes significant pain, stop testing and seek appropriate professional advice. A mattress trial cannot determine or treat a medical condition.

Questions worth asking Ecosa before ordering
- What are the packed and delivered dimensions, and how many people are recommended for moving the mattress?
- Is the 25 cm measurement the final height, and does it include the cover?
- Can either side be placed directly on the intended base, and are there slat-spacing requirements?
- What are the current 100-night trial start, return and collection rules for my postcode?
- Does using a protector affect a return or warranty claim, and what type is acceptable?
- Which defects are covered in each period of the 15-year limited warranty?
- Are the latex and cover materials certified under any named standard, and where is that documentation?
Written answers are preferable to assumptions based on advertising labels. Save the replies with your order documents.
Verdict
TrueFirm is a clearly defined concept on paper: a 25 cm Australian mattress with pocket springs, latex on both sides and two advertised firmness orientations controlled by flipping. Ecosa’s listing also provides a 15-year limited warranty, a Single price of A$830 and a Queen price of A$1,170 as recorded in 2026, while warning owners not to wash or wet the mattress and recommending a protector or overlay.
What the listing cannot establish is just as important. There is no usable independent test score or disclosed hands-on evidence here for comfort, alignment, pressure relief, cooling, partner disturbance, edge support or durability. Consider TrueFirm if reversibility and a firm-focused spring-and-latex build match your priorities, but make the purchase only after confirming live pricing, delivery, trial and warranty terms and accepting that your personal feel remains unverified.
